Who will buy? Who would want to?

Can someone please make a compelling case as to why the likes of Google, Yahoo etc. might wish to acquire Yell? I remain to be convinced on this one. Maybe someone can come up with a convincing case for this being a realistic possibility? As for a bidding war? Here is a list of Yahoo's acquisitions over the years >>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_acquisitions_by_Yahoo! I don't see Yell fitting into the Yahoo line-up of acquisitions. So a bidding war probably isn't on the cards. I'm trying to think what it is that Yell does that could possibly ever make it such a big draw?

thanks anyway OBB aws1- thanks for the link, although that wedge indicates indecision. i was looking at a larger bullish falling wedge going back 6 months if you get chance to post that one?! Jonny - nice to meet you. Is that sarcasm i hear.? I did promise myself that if i started posting on here that i wouldn't rise to anything unpleasant so being a man of my word i wont. I did see you taking some ridicule on here the other day and did some what feel a touch sorry for you......i guess i still do. You will hopefully be happy that i am relatively positive about this stock...at least relatively short term anyway! I decided to post to hopefully contribute since i have benefited from others research over the years but of course also realise that we all have different trading methods (some of us successful and some of us not) , differing strategies and therefore differing opinions. I am not emotionally attached to this stock but just trade what i see. As regards any 'bid' rumours.....well i'm not suggesting that there wont be......just stating that the charts were suggesting that a breach of the short term downtrend at around 15p would automatically mean a large short term rise whether there was a bid rumour or not but that there was also a verygood chance that it would halt around the 20p area......which they did . Shame i cant post the link to show you what i mean. Likewise, you'll be glad to know that i have identified another larger play that is also suggesting a breach of 17p to the upside might even signal a whole trend reversal. Possible targets to the upside ? i wouldn't normally comment on and dont really care because once i've made 20 or 30% i will probably move onto another share , but 30p is definetely not out of the question and if your rumours of a bid are correct then possibly even higher. Anyway, time will tell and i have at least a good trading method (not meant as an insult by the way) so maybe i should keep my research to myself from now on. Anyway, all the best in your trading and i'm sure we will cross swords again sometime. LOL!

Having mainly played the forex for the last six months , (Demo Account) I see the chart as a decending triangle , which with regard to Elliot Wave Theory is merely drawback before the next rise . Suppose I have a 50/50 chance . I need to get out more , regards max
