Cameroon Hydro Power Plant
Today 08:20
Cleaner Cheaper and More Reliable Energy in Cameroon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3gI5yILW24
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUjHlz0_sY4

The upcoming 420 MW Nachtigal Hydro Power Plant will help Cameroon increase
its electricity generating capacity by 30% and will replace expensive thermal energy
with cheaper renewable Hydro Power energy.

Looks as though 'the-hamster-in-the-wheel' will be redundant in 2023
With an investment of $1,000,000,000+ success will be guaranteed.
Cannot see any of these boyos not doing their necessary homework. .

Now its over to the "What About the Dry Season" brigade.
(Pssst – I think that the 2 French developers - [EDF and STOA] - will be aware of this).

It'll Be Alright on the Night?

Did you know ENEO has already signed a Hydro Power agreement with 2 developers?
(My personal feelings are that ENEO has always favoured Hydro Power over VOG Gas).

MIGA Backs Development of 420-MW Nachtigal Hydro Power in Cameroon
01/29/2019
MIGA is a member of the World Bank Group has issued €164.5 million (US$188 million)
in guarantees to two investors in the Nachtigal Hydro Power Company – which is set to
be in production in just 4 years time.

A $1,000,000,000+ investment that has been made by a French company in Cameroon.
Final & Binding agreements for the construction of a 420-megawatt Hydro Power project
on the Sanaga River have already been signed.

This new Hydro Power station will have an annual power output of almost 3 Terawatts –
One Terrawatt = a unit of power equal to One Million-Million watts.
Massive investment > The expected Cost of the Development is $1.36 Billion.

MIGA guarantees have been provided alongside payment and loan guarantees from the
IBRD, and an investment, loan and risk management swaps by IFC.

*** The agency has provided a Breach of Contract cover for up to 15 years to the French
Power Developer and operator EDF International – as well as to STOA that is a French
infrastructure investment vehicle that focuses primarily on Africa.

*** Breach of Contract cover for up to 15 years. Why did Victoria Oil and Gas not consider
this option when they dealt with ENEO??? Shame on the Victoria Oil and Gas directors.

Project is being developed on a build - own - operate - transfer basis under a 35-year
concession agreement between the project company and the Republic of Cameroon and
a power purchase agreement exists between the company and the Energy of Cameroon
(ENEO) a privately owned electricity distribution company.

One of few Hydro Power public & private partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa The project
will sell power to ENEO at a rate of €0.061/kWh (US$0.070) –
– amongst the lowest tariffs for a Hydro Power plant in Africa.

Nachtigal will be connected to the Southern interconnected grid, which represents about
94% of Cameroon’s national electricity consumption. The country has the third largest
Hydro Power development potential in Sub-Saharan Africa and forecasts estimate that
Hydro power will represent about 75% of the energy mix by 2023.

2023 is 'just-around-the-corner' and I for one would like to know if our esteemed BoD
have had any thoughts with apropos to some really good contingency plans – and if so –
what their contingency plans are? We could always throw another party?

Mr. 3card at 10:06 yesterday ...
"Wobbly. Are you Spacehopper?"
I was tempted to play along and say – "Yes, I am"
But bigsmoke at 14:32 went and scotched that bit of 'naughtiness'.
Are you basing your presumption on me referring to posters on here as 'mister'?
This was a trait of Mr. Spacehopper, was it not? Spacehopper was always polite – if not
a tad abrupt with some of his replies – but never-the-less he was a Gent and was polite.

Politeness it would seem is sadly lacking with 2 of our regular contributors on here i.m.o.
who seem to delight in lurking in the background waiting of someone to post their opinion
on here so that they may retort with a sad vitriolic reply dripping in their inane sarcasm

ENEO paying up
Sat 15:59
I heard Malcy say that invoices tend not to get paid within 90 days and that Ahmet Dik was relaxed about this. Ok so why did VOG then make it a big deal by stating it hadn’t been paid and was in discussions to “resolve” this. Well if Dik is relaxed then surely there’s nothing to resolve?
