After consolidation, the board normally moves on to options and earthquakes, not necessarily in that order.

Volume of just 10.9m shares so far, a rather quiet day in the making.

Consolidation is typically undertaken to avoid breaching the company articles which set the limits of issuing more shares without having to hold an EGM to amend those companies articles . . . Rarely a positive move as previously highlighted by many. But share consolidations are loved, loved, loved by those wishing to short a companies stock and MMs alike. So, which one is MacRandolf? Hmmmmmm . . . ?

It enables the BoD to rinse and repeat dilution. Honest PIs, we are just diluting a little and before you know it you are back where you started from.

Agree The company's market capitalization stays the same before and after the consolidation, but in reality in my experience the price seems to drop pretty quickly and before you know it you are back to a price similar to where you were originally.
