Carrington - Hard to argue with that I would say !!

Good research - Thanks !!
Today 12:22CarringtonRE: Takeover188.50Strong Buy
Dave Lewis is the major reason I bought Tesco shares over the last 6 months - Tesco is an easy turnaround for him - He transformed Unilever for gods sake -so Tesco is small beer - see below quote from The Grocer - Schroder should pipe down imo - stick to banking and let DL get on with his job -

According to The Grocer, Lewis earned the nickname "Drastic Dave" after restructuring Unilever UK in 2007. After becoming chairman of Unilever UK, Lewis streamlined the company, with 40 per… Read More

"Unfortunately Dave Lewis lacks the experience that Leahy was able to draw on."

I would suggest that Lewis's experience has grown 10 fold in the last 2-3 years given what challenge he has tackled.

You probably learn a lot more fighting your way through a downturn than you do throwing money around during a boom time
Sun 14:52Opium2 brains on the merger.184.70No Opinion
AAS:It's EXACTLY the imaginative ground-breaking strategy that Sir Terry Leahy pulled off on a Good Day. On a Bad Day he invaded the USA & Left, letting 'Ferrari' Phil takeover. Rather rude not to mention Charlie's contribution to the Booker deal, especially when he may well be a future Tesco CEO. Tesco Bank is getting too big too keep under the wing - so why not? Millions of Tesco shareholders would ensure any IPO got off the ground

Favourable Ipo sounds good to me but likely?
Sun 13:45jonjoRE: Takeover184.70No Opinion
AAS - Yawn - well Schroeder better get used to it because it is happening, and I trust our team to deliver, as Opium has said the other cornerstone investors seem to be happy and despite all the doubters this works for Tesco, its investors and will also benefit the customers
