They need to get Jack's rolled out far more quickly than suggested. On the day they opened the first one, Aldi countered with their plan to open 200 more! They need to sort out their PR therefore too! So they have created demand with Jacks's which they cannot fulfil. I have no idea what they have in their property portfolio mothballed but the Jack's rollout, a strategy designed to counter the threat of the discounters, was embarrassing.

They do need to look at the salaries of the top people , they are just too high .Because basically Tesco was founded on buy it cheap and pile it high , and nothing has really changed . If you buy in large quantities you get the large discount . So how are Aldi under cutting them . They have a slimmed down top table , which is what we should be doing. Too many hangers on in Ivory Towers at Tesco me thinks. They also need to slim down the number of varieties available , look at all the cereals , and toilet papers . We need to go back to basics . If only we could have Jack Cohen.back , he would sort it out !

So ex dividend day . So they found £50 million pounds to boost the dividend by 67% yet how did they reward there long term serving members of staff with 15plus years of service that made this great company no 1 at the last pay rise?slash the Sunday premium yet again to time and a quarter from time and a half this so called pay roll re alignment was to give all staff a fair deal ( it saved £3 million a year apparently) well I was on checkouts earning £7.60 an hour 10p above the minimum wage of £7.50 and said when we get to the minimum wage of £9 an hour in whatever year I bet your bottom dollar we will no doubt be on £9.10! Worse off..yet the top bods take ever more and more cheers for that I’ll raise my glass of water to that!
