It may be a silly question but who are Ambeson? I just tried to do some research and can't find anything on the web.
I think the confusion has been caused by a seemingly missing RNS. The Jan12 RNS shows that Ambeson's holding has moved to 5.7% (0.7%above the 5% notification threshold). The most recent RNS shows that their holding has dropped below the 3% threshold at which the market must be notified. As they decided to reduce their stake, why was there not an RNS for the time when their holding fell below the 5% declared in Jan12? Also interesting to note that Ambeson holds a 7.44% interest in Cloudtag . . . . . . . the same Company in which Corvus has a 19.49% interest and Mike Hirschfield a 4.65% holding. Obviously an orderly disposal of SRSP shares was called for so as not to upset the market. But . . . . . where is the RNS showing that Amberson's holding has fallen under the 5% threshold?
Valid point! There is a discrepancy of 13.85m. shares. Ambeson reportedly held 43,005,208 on 4Jan12 (after increasing their stake) and 29,155,208 on 25Nov13 (before reducing their stake). There have been no 'holding' RNSs announced between those two dates. How have they reduced their holding without SRSP issuing an RNS?
Is the suggestion that the disposal by Ambeson has put an artificial brake on the share appreciation? If so Its a bit "conspiracy theory-ish" Though I would agree, a bit strange no notification. FFS wouldnt it be nice to stop bloody guessing, its bloody wearing not knowing that your assessment of the situation is indeed correct.
http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/News/NewsFeedItem.aspx?id=182460948174216 So how did 43m get reduced to 29m without any notification?
Not the RNS we were expecting, but the fact that it doesn't appear to have affected the share price indicates that some were already aware of it's contents. Are we mushrooms about to be enlightened on other developments?
