A deafening silence greets the cat creeping out of the bag. Nice deal stitched up between Amazoil-Glencore-Sirius to take 60k bopd from surrounding fields, via an already established Ororo hub flow-station. Meanwhile Glencore makes available a tidy $65m, on the basis of a no. of studies carried out + Gaffney's cpr, for production drilling into the deeper sands at undeveloped Ororo, the oil window/kitchen which hosts the source rock for OML 95's multimillion barrels. Glencore's contract on the giant 500mmb Obe Field in neighbouring OML 110 gives a further clue that the world's biggest commodities trader doesn't deal with tiddlers. SRSP prob experiencing a little difficulty in cobbling together the next RNS in the light of these revelations.

Got it yet? The 60k bopd is crude is being delivered to Glencore, via the Ororo oil processing hub, from multiple nearby producing fields. In return for the exclusivity in marketing that crude oil, Glencore pre-finances a 2-well Ororo programme targeting the deeper prolific kitchen which is the source rock for OML 95 oil.

"team looking at the optimum field development option for the Ororo development. To optimise a multi-field development based around an Ororo hub (wellhead platform) linking to Chevron Parabe facilities in the South West Niger Delta sector of Nigeria." Imo, Ororo will have initially 2 production wells of its own, but will also operate as a major oil processing hub for the multiple smallish fields in the region. Chevron has already installed miles of pipeline. This would explain the seemingly unrealistic figure of 65k bopd to Glencore , which no way would Sirius be able to produce from its own fields within the 3 years of the Glencore contract.

Sirius Petroleum - Ororo Field Development Plan Principal Process & Facilities Engineer; Oct. 2012 to February 2012 Process & Facilities support to team looking at the optimum field development option for the Ororo development. LTD Bashir Koledoye, Zayid Oyeleke, Idris Taiwo Tonye's team completed the work in Feb 2012. Then this news release... "London-listed Sirius Petroleum has started preliminary work on a development plan for its Ororo oilfield in OML 95, off Nigeria’s Ondo state. The company is assessing suitable candidates to provide the appropriate oil services for drilling operations on the field, including the procurement of a drilling rig slot for the second half of 2012. So they went ahead with the rig? Drilled a production well and never told us? The wellhead platform is installed and they never told us? CPR based on the deeper sands upgraded the initial 20mmb recoverable, and they never told us? Also in OML 95, the Meren Field is located southeast of Lagos, Nigeria about 10 miles offshore in 50 feet of water. Meren is one of the largest and most prolific producing oil fields in the area. There are six major fault blocks, each block containing up to a dozen productive reservoir sands, with more than 40 total producing sands. The total estimated original oil in place is 1.8 billion barrels Let's highlight this 4 month study completed in Feb 2012 "team looking at the OPTIMUM field development option for the Ororo development. To optimise a MULTI-FIELD development based around an ORORO HUB (wellhead platform) linking to Chevron Parabe facilities in the South West Niger Delta sector of Nigeria." Interesting indeed. So how did the drill rig go?

Completed FDPs must surely precede funding. Without the info how could they poss know how much money is needed. In January 2007, Afren submitted a field development plan (FDP) for the field to the Government of Nigeria. £200m funding was announced in March 2007. Development drilling for the field was started in January 2008. Transocean's GlobalSantaFe Adriatic VI jack-up rig was used to initially drill two production wells. Another five wells were drilled subsequently and brought on-stream. In May 2008, the Okoro wellhead platform was installed at the field and connected to the FPSO through flowlines. First production from the field commenced in June 2008. We are constantly being fed a load of bolox about Sirius progress. The Co. has already used agencies to do essential investigative work on the field. Ororo is the kitchen, the source hub for producing fields like Meren and Parabe. The wellhead platform is already installed.
