I’m a long term investor/accumulator holding 25,000 shares currently here and will stop at 60,000 in approximately 18-24months time.

With rising input prices I see the discount retailers gap narrowing in the medium term and long term an overall trend for food prices to rise by 30-50% in-line with Europe, North America and Australasia. This will be coupled with a decline in real costs elsewhere such as housing.

Doubt it, sainsburys and Tesco are still making great profits although reduced due to the cut price retailers taking their cut. Home delivery is not profitable and roll out accross all retailers should be stopped. This is hampering profits in my opinion as well as preventing people from coming to stores

Yes...200p is high possibly very soon
....bigger question is can the big four survive the onslaught from, Aldi, Lidl, Amazon and the rest of the internet and direct delivery companies... Who'd have thought this 5years ago when the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury ruled the roost. I was contemplating an investment here but this could still fall a very very long way....mmmmm I'll think about this...
