Intandem Films flickers on Berlin festival sales rumours March 25, 2014 - After its shares rose 20 per cent in early trading, film financing group Intandem Films confirmed the Berlin International Film Festival had sparked discussions with a number of potential film buyers. The company did caution that it continued to operate with ‘limited working capital’ and was ‘dependent on making commercial progress in the very near term or will require further new financing’, news which knocked the shares back somewhat. At Berlin the company was looking to driving sales for ‘Gagarin: First in Space’, a Russian-language feature film; ‘Vendetta’, an action movie starring Eastenders’ cockney star Danny Dyer; and ‘Believe’, a biopic of Manchester United manager Sir Matt Busby starring Brian Cox that has received renewed interest in the run up to the upcoming World Cup. Other films it was showing at Berlin included features in post-production: ‘Assassin’, starring Danny Dyer again as well as former pop stars Martin and Gary Kemp; and ‘Top Dog’, a British crime drama directed by Gary Kemp. The company expects to announce its unaudited interim results for 2013, by no later than March 31st. By 14.50 on Tuesday the shares were up 7.3% to 0.59p.
