Dear seer, I am quite depressed and despondent reading your message that you have quit, So sad and will miss you on here with forthright points of view and will miss you as an LSE friend. I understand this is a dangerous business if your luck runs out and I know you are retired. I sincerely hope you make a comeback when the worm turns and PM's run (please?). And WILL they run when the world goes tits up (financially)! LOL! For a novice like me, I am not fooled by the dire knife edge out on financial markets. Agree, HOC's is a good mine and levels right now are at bargain value for the contrarian investor. Eish

TY guys for all the kind words - if I were a young man I would undoubtedly buy HOC at these very low SPs and sit back and wait a year or so for common sense to return to the world - we seem to be at an all time low in the UK with a set of MPs who have got used to letting the political dictators in Brussels make all the decisions and now we have a pathetic bunch of MPs with not a clue how to run the country. today they announced that 14.2 million people in this country live in poverty and what does Mrs May do - give away £14 billion a year of our money to the ten most corrupt countries in the world - latest is £300 million to India to alleviate their poverty - a country with its own space programme and nuclear weapons arsenal - what do our politicians use for brains ?

Lucky for me I have no debts now and my pensions add up to £3K a month so I will recover my SM losses in a very short time.

Seer,
I read with interest your messages in the last couple of years. Like you I have become very negative with the stock market having constantly made £1K profits followed by £2k losses. I am out too as this morning, as concerned both about the last promises of Mr Lunatic in the US (i.e $200 billions tariff against China) and the Fed decision on the 25 of September and the potential negative impact on silver.
I would like to retire too from stocks and share, but will try to patiently wait on the side lines, following a market crush and consequent opportunities to recoup some of the money lost in the last 8 years on commodities. As I said for me share dealing has meant only share loosing, but hopefully if we have repeat of commodities boom I might be able to cover some of my losses. ALTVB
