The Pinedale field, the Lance zone has 9 permits issued since March 16 to Ultra petroleum, every permit is for a horizontal well. This is according to "shaleexperts.com". The pictures you see taken from a low flying plane of all the wells is used by the antifracking groups and I've seen these pics of Wyoming used in Oz. If I have time today I'll call Ultra and ask how many horizonals have been drilled to date.
Horizontals haven't been drilled in Jonah or Pinedale. EOG has been drilling horizontals into the Green River Formation just south of Jonah targeting oil shales. There are HZs also in the powder river basin as far as HZ in Wyoming go. But Pinedale and Jonah are still just tight downspacing verticals which makes sense given the total net pay thickness.
No, I said it was higher ,we have lost money every year since then. According to my Scottrade account ,in late Jan 2013 it was over 30 cents, that is why every stock option since POQ was CEO they were always granted at a lower and lower stock price. He has delivered only one stock holder a profit and that is him!
You are right it is sedimentary rock of which shale is a part of, and ten years ago you were right that we drilled up and down but that has changed and fracking and going sideways is now the trend. NGI which you probaly know shows it as shale gas up .06 % this month and the shale price index calls it a shale field so my apologies. But if you notice the new well permits we drill sideways there a lot.
I agree , they Falcon don't have the knowledge, and I expect Origin not Sasol to be the one who becomes the leader in OZ, they need to get ahead of the curve, with so much knowledge out there, we need to improve, I only have 110,000 shares now, down from 380000, so no I don't want the price lower I want results.
Firstly you are uninformed. Jonah is fluvial amalgamated channel complex. It is not a shale play. Sorry if this is news to you. Furthermore more there are no horizontals in Jonah or pinedale just closely verticals. Trust me I know both area well. But unlike your son in law I have delivered shale exploration and development programs so i do know a little about landing a lateral.
