PMO may well have scared off anyone interested in farming. A solid , well funded partner would have put themselves at risk by joining PMO and taking a chunk of acreage, when PMO were at risk of collapsing not so long ago. They might have wanted PMO to drop SL, they could have got a better from RKH then.

If PMO make the FID and its a no, I assume it all goes back to RKH ?

A poster once posted that we tend to follow pmo at roughly 1/3 of their price and since pointed out I think has been pretty consistent within a couple of pence.

RKH seems to be matching PMO on the SP rise today - interesting that someone bought 4 x 300K lots of PMO shares and one lot of 200K shares at early doors - could be some good news next week ?

Cubane,

It really depends on why PMO wouldn't go ahead in that situation. I personally don't see a probable situation in which Sea Lion is sanctionable, but not by PMO, unless PMO were to have some significant and costly operational issue with another of its assets.

So if PMO would to actually decide not to go ahead (as opposed to slow roll) it would most likely be against a tough enconomic backdrop where AIM listed stocks, let alone E&P's, are going to be heavily out of favour; more so. Assets in the ground are a positive, but the market is short-termist and without a route to sanction are very lowly valued.

The Med generates enough cash to cover overheads, but not capex. It's not a sustainable standalone business of any consequence.

That might leave RKH with the arbitration claim only.

So is it binary in the sense of a zero on the downside. Touch wood, no, because, all else being equal, there is some significant difference between RKH and say a company which has raised cash to drill and is unsuccesful.

But, it would be optimisitc to believe it's not a good way down from today's level.

Thankfully, the upside, if things go well, could clearly be considerable.
