TE-11

A question.

There has been a little speculation about whether TE-11 will be drilled or not.

I beleive that the cost was quoted as £6m which would equivalent to 0.6p per share.

Even if TE-11 were to be a failure wouldthe additional knowledge gained be worth more than half a peeny a share to a potential purchasser?

All in my personal opinion:

Bill
I like your posts
you posted THIS
but did you mean something different?
the obvious flaw to your argument is that CGT rate is so much lower than IT+NI rates so JP must want to minimise IT+NI and expose as much as possible to CGT
of course the taxes are not additive but sequential

'The trick , if anyone can do it, is to time the exercise price to be the same as the final selling price, in which case there is no CGT to pay ( all the gain is subject to income tax and national insurance). The are only two groups of directors able to achieve this feat, those blessed with second sight and those gifted with the knowledge that your company is going to be liquidated during the option exercise period. The SOU directors fall into the second category.

Pontcanna - the whole point about TBB event was to keep the share price propped-up. There was no other reason for it to be honest. I don't buy for one moment that they wanted to engage with a load of disgruntle, angry old men hurling abuse at them and drinking their booze. What they achieved there could have been done via a webinar or conference call and it would have saved a load of money too. The body language was telling. They are frightened....scared that should Te-10 not come in then it's pretty much light's out when you take into consideration the huge debt that we are carrying that people keep forgetting about and not to say that our NOMAD could jump ship if the proverbial hits the fan, which was what happened recently over at FRR and MYSQ. The latter costing me 6 grand. JJ looked very pensive and spent most of the time gurning. JP looked startled throughout and petrified by what BM was saying at the start of the talks and BM tried to put on a brave face but as my brother commented, spent a lot of the time nervously shaking. It's finger in the air stuff, guys and gals despite what was said. Either it's doom or boom. I have given my share price predictions on more than one occasion and only time will tell as to which course we will take.

On the Balls Bros video BM says Schlumberger has no CT rig available ‘anywhere in the whole world’. So they’re using Smape - which is a privately owned Italian CT operator and probably the biggest CT operator in Southern Europe. Smape has bags of experience and do all ENI’s CT work.

As you say, its very cost effective, safe approach because running into and pulling out of the hole is a continuous operation with no pipe connections. Also, CT with the right equipment, can work on a ‘live’ well, with no need to kill the well between downhole operations and avoids damaging the formation with kill fluid.

Smape also has a nitrogen service to lift the well fluids and coax it into a gentle clean-up which is quite important in tight, stimulated reservoirs.

I’m sure ddboy and others know more about it.
