l and gas business warmed to Thursday's news that Ithaca Energy has entered into an agreement with Bluewater Energy Services to develop the Athena Field, where Rheochem has a net 5 percent interest.
Also on the upside, Electronic Data Processing advanced 3 pence to 53-1/2 pence as the provider of IT solutions to builders and timber merchants disclosed higher first-half pretax profit and revenue and expressed confidence about the rest of the year.
Still in a firm vein, Lombard Medical hardened 1/2 of a penny to 12-1/2 pence as a clutch of directors snapped up a total of 256,370 ordinary shares all at 14 pence apiece.
A director's share buying in the wake of Thursday's full-year results also lifted Conister Financial 2-1/2 pence to 67-1/2, while Coffeeheaven celebrated the successful placing of 11.5 million new shares at a price 30-1/2 pence with a gain of 1-1/2 pence to 34-1/4 pence.
Tribal Group made headway, adding 5-1/4 pence to 138 as the provider of consultancy, support and delivery services said it continues to expect first-half pretax profits and earnings per share to be significantly ahead of the corresponding period.
