I'm sure you'll be a lot happier in the next two months, and way happier at Christmas. AFC Energy has a lot planned for this year. From the AGM presentation:
Outlook
ā¢ Focus is on delivery!
ā¢ Delivery of first 30kW H-Power Generators to Speedy Hydrogen Solutions
ā¢ Delivery of first 45kVA H-Power Generator to Acciona
ā¢ First TAMGO commercial orders for Middle East market
ā¢ Delivery of 200kW ABB S+ Series H-Power Generator
ā¢ Announcement of supply chain and manufacturing partners
ā¢ Ammonia cracker validation and operation
ā¢ Announcement of Ammonia Cracker development and deployment partners
Clearer explanation of the Ā£27 million pipeline/orders/ potential orders.
You really didnāt need to waste a trip to the agm to work out that itās not a Ā£27m order book
Thanks for the AGM feedback, always appreciated!
Thanks for that BF, much appreciated.
So after attending today and having had time to reflect I still remain positive but feel that timelines are likely to be extended. The cracker technology appears great and can be a fantastic solution for many industries energy needs but that depends on how long before places like Neom come on line producing cheap ammonia ( or North America)
A few of the things that I am most pleased to hear about regarded the layout of production facilities at Dunsford, this will help iron out production issues and will provide a blueprint for the future mass manufacturing by an external company.
My other big takeaways from today are:
1) How severely constrained the electricity grid is, companies requiring 5mw or more are signing contracts for connections years in the future
2) A major tier 1 construction company failed to win a government contract worth Ā£100 million despite having the lowest cost bid. The reason they were unsuccessful was because they had no plans in place for decarbonisation. Recently they sent a large delegation to visit AFC.
3) clearer explanation of the Ā£27 million pipeline/orders/ potential orders.
Good luck to all holders
You what guys I havenāt a clue who to believe on here, Iām not the brain of Britain I know but Iāve been involved with AFC for 13-14 years now and too heavily invested to sell so Iāve taken the decision to stay until Iām basically in the dirt and the family get whatever this company will ever provide ā¦.. hopefully
Until then Stockcheque I will stick with your undoubted enthusiasm
Tennents,
All the basher wants to do is what bashers always do, spread doubt and fear.
It does not want answers to questions, all it wants is to put the doubt and fear into investors minds. If questions then get answered, the basher will then spend hours thinking up some other pointless irrelevant question that it knows most investors won't be able to answer, thus putting the doubt and fear back in the minds of investors.
More BS.
Ten
Ahhā¦blessā¦you just keep believing, and Iām sure it will all come good for you in the endā¦.my view is that youāll probably get more joy out of a Christmas cracker, but thatās just my view, you donāt have to acknowledge or agree with me,ā¦..
Says the person who stated that āloads of good stuff is said off recordā
What a load of BS.
Well then we can expect a massive uplift in the SP yay! I sincerely hope your optimisim yields results. But... weve heard this story of breakthroughs and advances and positive wording many times before and then N O T H I N G.
I see from the presentation that the 200kW will be finished soon, with just some of the final wiring being done?
And the new designs look good for 10kW, 20kW, 30kW, 40kW and 50kW.
Lots of images in the presentation, giving a really good insight into what's in the AFC hangar.
The bullet points at the end show AFC are ON IT, and we will see LOADS of news this year, much also IMMINENT according to other AGM feedback elsewhere.
The ii's and sell side analysts will be blown away when they visit AFC Energy HQ in twelve trading days time!!
Well at least the remuneration commitee has signed off all the payouts for non performance! Phew what a relief.
No news then. Nobody sane was expecting any at an AGM

Your question - āIs the ammonia cracker actually a thing yet, or simply a proof of conceptā?
Your assertion ā it is not actually a thing yet
My repudiation of your assertion
The AFC website video (not a picture) headed First Ever āInternational-UK ā Ammonia Cracking Demonstration. Hence it is a real thing.
RNS 23 March 2023 states the lab work and āproof of conceptā took two years and was finished year ago. Hence it has been a real thing for a considerable time.
The following organsations have engaged with eh project and are taking ti forwards in a num,ber of developments
- The UK National Physical Laboratory (NPL)
- the trading arm of large European energy company
- a major marine engine manufacturer
- specialist injectors and control valve maker
- two shipping companies
- University of Nottingham - as independent evaluators
- UK government ā as funders.
Hence - a range credible organisations have verified it as a real thing.
Therefore your assertion is well evidenced as fallacious ā it is a real thing.
Your ānewā question - āwhere is the test data evidencing successful (technical and commercial) operationā
Your ānewā assertion - that it does not work/deliver to (a yet unpublished) specification
I spent a long time in the engineering industry and know that test data on new processes and pre-production models is tightly held until deemed ready for use in marketing/sales/contract bidding in ways that do not compromise IP or technical/commercial competitive advantage.
In other words we will get it when they are ready to publish it. If that upsets you and makes you want to shout and stamp your feet on here. That is fine ā knock yourself out..
Have a good day

Are you really taking this quote about the value of the cracker as absolute gospel without any corroboration?
Does anyone have a link to afc generators on speedyhire? Other than an article from 2023 I cannot find anything? thx
Didn't you use to post as 4444, Kathleen12?
Its still stock coming from somewhere ...ie sold by mm
stock broker for 40 years
O: Ordinary Trade - A standard trade made through the Market Makers and dealt at normal settlement date.
https://www.stockopedia.com/learn/our-data/london-stock-exchange-quotes-463298
"Designated market makers will maintain within their inventory quantities of shares for the securities they are assigned. Quotes offered by the DMM are on par with what floor brokers offer, and the DMM is obligated to quote at the national best bid or offer for a percentage of the time."
You are the one that needs to learn not me LOL!!!
All of the trades are 'O' trades, so they are stock BOUGHT FROM MM'S, not bought from other sellers on SETS, the stock comes out of the MM's inventory.
Back to school for you LOL!!!
Makes no difference to me, as their short is not big enough to affect the price since things really got going with Speedy delivery and the Ammonia Cracker being worth much more than the current market cap.
With the Capital Markets Event coming very soon, Helikon could find the lender calls in the loaned stock. Their short is at a price of around 12p so down 6.7p right now, and they stand to lose a lot more if the ii's and sell side analysts get the stock moving quickly after the event, which is the whole point of the event.
The last time the price was at 12p was last November but left that range on 15 November when AFC announced "Launch of Speedy Hydrogen Solutions & First Orders". Price shot up again on 4 December when AFC announced "World First Ammonia Cracking Pilot". I think we'll see a similar effect after the Capital Markets Day, possibly even after the AGM if investors find themselves feeling bullish from what they have seen (likely a Speedy Hire Generator, maybe the refuelling truck too) and heard.
The price is in a one year uptrend. Helikon are no longer having any effect on the price.
