Everything you read is pointing in the right direction for Sound even with what we have found to date.
So hopefully in the next couple of weeks we should have another few pieces added to this jigsaw

All

Talking to people in Rabat this has been brewing up for a while.

The fuss about the LNG terminal has upset Taqa. They want to stop it and have right connections.

They run the 2000 MW coal plant at Jorf Lasfar.

https://www.taqamorocco.ma/en/taqa-morocco-glance

The wind and solar plants in Morocco have also met and exceeded expectations. Its a bit like Hinckley Point in UK.

5 years ago it was needed, but now wind and the uK smart grid have rendered it unnecessary.

That or we are the start of Moroccos state owned national gas company with the help of OGIF. Either will do PNE.

I've no idea what SDX have proven up but it just shows how important our initial discovery has been to the countries energy needs, never mind what it could potentially lead to. That's one hell of a saving if the lng project eventually gets shelved. The political importance cant be underestimated either imo, with tendrara hopefully providing energy security for years to come. The powers that be are desperate to be self sufficient and not reliant on Algeria, who they have a fractious relationship with. Someone will snap our hands soon enough. Gla

The LNG terminal is due to cost $4.6bn.

Morocco's annual gas consumption in 2015 was 1.48 bcm. There's 28.2168 bcm in one TCF. Although energy consumption is growing at a rapid rate in the country, its a tiny amount compared to the UK which uses 3 TCF p.a.

Why would they want to spend so much building infrastructure and importing LNG if we hit the jackpot. I wonder if they are waiting to see what we prove up before committing any capital. A few TCF would keep them going for years.

Issue 366 05 April 2018
Rabat has released little information about the impact of gas finds in eastern Morocco, in line with its cautious management of information on the hydrocarbons industry. But reserves in the Sound Energy-operated Tendrara gas field are now deemed sufficient for the government to stop taking gas through the Maghreb-Europe Gas Pipeline (GME) when its contract with Algeria expires in 2020-21. This means Morocco will not need to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) until much later in the next decade, when new combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants are built, officials in Rabat have told African Energy.

It has already been confirmed that the LNG import project has been put back to 2025 or later IIRC, due to our TE5 concession.

I wouldn't bother TelQue are basically agitators against the Moroccan Government and hardly an unbiased opinion?

TelQuel (French: As it is) (slogan: Morocco as it is), is a French-language Moroccan weekly magazine. It is privately owned, and is known for its resolute opposition to Islamist ideology in Morocco.

A google translation of an exerpt from an article in TelQue saying there are concerns/doubts about the LNG project. Any one having access to the full length article?

SP

At this SP level it is about as derisked as is possible for any O & G, especially on AIM! IMHO if company was to be sold next week that we would be worth between 80-100 based on proven gas, deals in place, Seismic, Sidi besides the potential of what we have in rest of Tendrara!! And of course anything extra Luca brings to the table. We should all be happy as Larry knowing this and little delays are nothing in the scale of things! DYOR but really? Now where's my Burger and Beer thanks ;-)

Reading some of the posts about JP makes me wonder why those people are invested. If I felt as they do I would be out ,even at a loss. For sure he is human and makes mistakes but I have absolute faith that he is working to bring the results we all want to see.Constructive criticism should always be welcome, and I have my views on the too tight time lines that he sets himself.Yes patience is needed ,much of what we are waiting for is out of JPs control GSA; and partner approval..I imagine he must get frustrated himself...The prize is coming for those who have the patience...

He also mentioned in front of Brian at an investor event how he was itching to drill but took the advice of his team and went with their plan. I'm as frustrated as anyone with the slippage but I don't believe for one minute they are all sat down at HQ with their feet up trying to eek out a few more months pay. It will be completely immaterial if we have success anyway, likewise, failure hits them in the pockets as well. The drill bit and seismics to a degree define all our futures, including JP's, not 6 months extra salary.

Tim0 got to wait for the GSA like all of us then we will be able to do sums and put some value to our proven reserves. We can all do the simple sums for that. Estimates for what we may have to come are simply that and best left until we prove them up. The value of the company is not just those proven reserves, there is Sidi (plus farm out) to add on, any further consolidation Luca brings, the worth of the Seismic itself to a major etc. So IMHO assets estimations mean little now and any LE will be based on what we bring to the table. Besides it has been done many times over on her as per TcF =? what does it matter at this time plus some people don't seem to want to do any research themselves but want an anonymous BB to give them guidance?

To suggest JP is stringing this out for his own gain is absolute nonsense and not the first time its been suggested. Didn't he impose a pay cut on himself this year?

Spell out our assets to refresh everyone's memory.

On the 06/12/17 James Parsons said 1.0Tcf = £1.50 to share price

So what are our assets estimations today?

Manics as I suggested last night it was obvious the you were deep under water, now you have told us. Sorry you are but you simply need more patience. If you don't believe in the man and company you should simply cut your losses and try elsewhere. We all want the same thing, JP included, but some of us understand the process of what we are trying to achieve. It is O & G exploration, time scales always slide. We are dealing with multi companies and a Government who within it has different departments we have to satisfy before we can progress. But we are progressing, the momentum is building into an unstoppable force.

Oh I think we did understand your point of view, convoluted or not, however it was well over the top and was basically a vitriolic attack on JP, hence why it was removed. In fact truth be told you are lucky you weren't as well. And No I never reported it, I never report or filter as said many times. Oh and of course sarcasm is the lowest form of wit............

If you don't understand my comparison about 2 different CEO's of AIM companies, sorry, can't help you any more with that. If you don't understand AIM you shouldn't be investing in it. Sound is about as good as it gets in this snakepit and Echo started off brilliantly undoubtedly learning a few lessons of both how and how not to do it from here. JP has been on a very steep learning curve himself and has now built himself a deserved formidable reputation as a deal maker in the City. Hence why the 15 million raise was snapped up at very favourable terms to Sound.

Yet today you are still harping on that JP is stringing it out for his own benefit which is simply ludicrous on so many levels. If you are patient I am more than confident you will likely get your money back and more. Will you come back on and issue a public apology to him when this all turns around? As JP said himself you are only as good as your last drill in this game, no matter what you achieved previously, (ahem proven up reserves awaiting GSA that will underline SP I reckon in 50's). Another saying of Hero to Zero, well soon I know at which end of that scale he will be.

Not answering anymore of this subject and you should let it drop, It is lovely day on South Coast. Neighbours got their annual big Barbie and I intend to eat all their food and drink more than my fair share of booze. I will keep an eye out for JP in case he is free loading there as well for you ;-)

Manics: You know maybe JP is telling the truth about delays and there is proof of this. Its taken more time as the team thought it would be better to do extra seismics for the purpose of the drill having more chance of success. Give the team a break.

Yes he is on good money, as any CEO is but Im sure he will worth it during the negotiations of the sale of the company and the decisions he is currently making.

I need to keep the Mrs. happy too but just relax, be patient and you will get your just rewards. Or just p#%s off :).

moroccoknows: I'm invested in the BOD, same as you. You have to be subjective on management. Comparisons with unrelated equities mean nothing. I'm invested in SOU, not AIM -does that make sense?

My apologies to you, this BB and SouthernCross that my posts last night were too convoluted. In simple form:

SouthernCross couldn't appreciate the *suggestion* that there *might* be variance in appetite to change the fundamentals. He, you and I all want the LE and like yesterday, right? We wanna get the car, give the mortgage a kick in the nuts, take the family away. Our aspirations join hundreds of other stories across the investor base.

Now, how hungry would you be if, right now, your SOU investment was paying you an £18,000 (net) dividend, every month, like clockwork? What if that was your primary income, would you be able to compromise that...?

As a single guy, early 20's? "Yeah lets go for glory"! As a family man, with dependents..?

You gotta at least see the angle imo -if nothing else because you're paying for it. The reality is we're still stuck in a never ending 18 months. I'm a gherkin buyer (ain't too proud to admit it). Timelines have slipped here there and everywhere (O&G baby, I get it), though nobody's paying me a dividend on this position to help keep the Mrs. happy.

Good post Ozzie I personally made the decision sometime ago to trust JP and the BOD to do the best for my investment here. So far all I've seen is a company trying to put everything in place to achieve that. Not a 5 minute job but something that takes many things in place before we even get to a drill in the ground. After TE8 they are making sure the next two have the best chance of success they can have before we get there. As far as I am concerned they can take all the time they want if it achieves that. Things are soon to get exciting here.

Well it looks like i missed some spiky banter here today.

SO, that post really made me chuckle, but I suspect that even laying out the numbers like that will not be enough for some to demonstrate what JP stands to gain by getting this home for us all.

The pieces really are all falling into place here. Wont bother listing them all out again, but its there to see for all. The scale of what we have here really does not seem to be understood by some - its huge. Game changing for Morroco, for SOU and for anyone patient enough to let it mature.

And thats the key thing - patience. This is not your average AIM punt, but a serious company which is about to demonsrate what the reward for patience can be. We simply have to make one decison - in, or out.
