This companies never cease to amaze me.....
Ha ha ! Yessss! Better than expected ! Top up time !!!
I havn’t read the full rrns as im busy but jumping to conclusion if Avanti has pending contracts ready for Hylas 4,could these arrive just in time?
Take your point Cassius, however, to me it seems unlikely that the bond holders who have converted several hundred millions of dollars into equity would not oblige with the $50m small change need to keep the company solvent past june 30th if only to secure their own investments. They would have been fully aware of this situation before agreeing to the conversion.
Rumour out that our new satellite will be used to identify gold bearing asteroids, and other rare elements which can then be captured in outer space and used to pay the bond holders
Well I havent sold , so I hope that you are tight Qd. The market obviously does not agree with you though. The section of the RNS that I highlighted below surely means that they are still struggling to cope with ongoing debt.
whos the moron now = 35% down - I think those that exited just after RNS are now extremely pleased a) Either they can now buy back in - getting 35% more shares (or) b) Toast to a well timed exit that saved them 35% of what they got back
Cassius as I see it this is why the bondholders accepted the restructure/haircut. Agree very much with oldpabear and GCCRa: this is what we were told was coming. For me, it is a time to hold my nerve. Being in this share has always been risky, this is the mopping up just as OPB said.
Well the below, taken from the RNS does not encourage me to buy - Furthermore, if the Restructuring completes but the Company is unable to raise Additional Funds of at least US$50 million and secure US$40 million infrequently recurring revenue in pipeline by 30 June 2018 then based on the projected cash flows of the Group, the Company will, within the 3 months following 30 June 2018, be highly likely to be unable to pay its creditors, as and when they fall due for payment.
Surely this presents a storming BUY opportunity....!!
Astonishing reaction. NONE of this is news ! Just proves that most PI shareholders are Epsilon Minus Semi Morons.
Yep, dont think that you will be on your own in your thoughts or actions, Visainn. Good Luck
Well - i tried holding to recover - but have finally bitten the 70% down button and sold Rather get 30% of an investment and feel bad for a while than feel worse thinking I could have got 30 % back and lost it all. Looking very glum here indeed Hope I am wrong for the holders GLTA
Gents, All this information (except the open offer) was in the documentation presented to Bond holders last month. It was all in the public domain. In essence this is the mopping up of the restructure.
I thought the restructuring had been agreed and we were sorted for the foreseeable. Now just after the Satellite is launched we are getting news that we may be bust by summer. The sequence of news is strange to say the least.
Bit spooked by this one, what’s the general feeling is it a tactical play to reduce the cost of issuing to the bond holders - or is there a genuine concern this is going to be belly up by summer?
Oh dear WO - Quote: 'Look at other Satellite operators, very few have SPs that high.' Still thinking that comparing share prices is relevant, regardless of how many shares are in issue, the level of debt, quality of customer base, size of revenues etc etc etc. Assume your IQ is around the current share price...?
Dear Chippy. I will go away but before I do, I notice the RNS today has the cheek to inform those stupid enough to be long this share that not only is it totally screwed as a company ( lack of clinet confidence that AVN will be a going concern ) but they invite any morons already holding stock to buy some more in the open offer. You couldn't make it up!
Yes, the big risk period is behind us now. Simple guiding into position followed by testing, commissioining, and then customer connexions to follow. Great to see a British Company succeeed in this sphere.
I believe the satellite is doing very well, already having a perigee of 5000 km and a good inclination, still couple of more days until reaching the in-orbit testing slot. Well done AVN and Orbital! Dear SS as your opinion is strong sell, have you taken your own advice? Do so and go away please.
Dear font of all knowledge. What does expentant mean ? p.s. stop giving people advice about what to do with their holdings. You do not have a clue what you are talking about and some vulnerable folks on here might think you do. Regards Trolls derampers and general idiots
Qd22 . . . I reiterate most of the replies - but please take only a passing interest in the 'Bid and Ask' prices, they are only a GUIDE [see below] and, where you should be looking is at 'Trade price' ! Trade prices are the real prices achieved by the real buyer or seller, and you will see they are much closer together, thus a narrower 'spread'. As has been said the dealer offers a buy price - don't take it if YOU feel it's too high [or low, when selling] wait an hour, or longer, a day, judge the market and try again until it's appropriate for you. If buying try watching the LSE trading log here for a big sale which might allow your dealer to offer you a more favourable price, and the alternative if selling. But 'we' all have our own way of trading! If you are in deep and have the confidence and the 's, you can buy on the rise to reduce your per share costs, as I dare say the ex Bond holders should be contemplating. I was able to do it the other way round. Often as the day progresses it can sometimes even appear there is opportunity for a 'day trader' to make a profit, albeit it tiny, and dependent on whether the deals have been accurately described, as some marginal buys may have been described as sales!! To explain and it's fairly basic, the Buy and Ask guide prices 'dictate' the upper and lower prices between which deals/ trades can be made. A 'buy' trade is where the price agreed is MORE than half the difference between the 'guide' Bid and Ask, and a 'sale' when it is LESS than half. There are occasions where 'Bid and Ask' prices are changing by the minute and it is these times perhaps when 'wrong' descriptions are likely to occur.
I dont think that the sp is going anywhere at the moment. Seller(s) are offloading at every opportunity. Any rise will be sold into at the moment. That could be for a variety of reasons but the obvious one is they want out. My concern is that it is the new equity being sold. I know I will get shot down for saying that because it hasnt officially been issued yet but Ive seen some strange things on this market over the years. If it is, we could be stuck around here for months (years ) and yes I am a holder.
THANKS guys. Really appreciated.
