MTB- no doubt. The AVN is like saying " we have gone so far- why give up now?" especially we are now ready to fire off anytime soon. But ultimately, is there enough demand of service? i am not convinced at all.
Banks are not the issue - the debt is all in the hands of HFs and asset managers. The question is whether the shareholders (of which the same asset managers are the largest) are prepared to throw more in. I still think it's more likely they do (as said below), although they could opt to put it into insolvency now whilst they have all their money in debt rather than half switched into equity. There was something about that RNS which felt a bit like blackmail - give us the money, or else!!
IMO, now that the AVN have got the satellite in orbit. They should have a stronger voice in demanding for more support from the banks. As a bank, you would want to see if the business model is still sound and profitable. Not sure for now.
...picking up a few shares if you like a punt. If the extra issue gets done (and I'd say there's a 65% chance it does), stock should bounce back to 10p or so. However, no-one should be under any illusions that there is still a reasonable chance I doesn't, in which case zero pence would be my best forecast of value. So probability weighted price of 6.5p. Below 6p, I could be tempted, but not above. Each to his own of course.
Nope I bought more too figure this is just adverse reaction and agree with all after looking its not new news...
well, it looks like you're the only one that has atm
08:02 - 10/04 Buy 66154 7.54p 4,988.01
Its always a gamble but will get some more in am for sure. Can't see this going pop. Just too many investors in up to their necks.
Think you are right. Will be topping up tomorrow 😊
im assuming pending contracts cant be inc in results until there actually ongoing. Im wondering if this is a legal obligation to notify the public of money needed when in fact theres money waiting in the backround? Why launch Hylas 4 if theres no profit in the pipeline?
Could be going bust nice graphics on rocket launch by the way. It might clash with the tesla roadster. Gla you'll need it your all easily fooled....
Why do certain posters have a fixation with following the fat lady around and hoping that she sings? LOL
...owe the bank 10,000, the bank owns you, owe the bank 20m, you own the bank. Looks to me like AVN is now holding the shareholders (largely the old bond holders) to ransom. Come up with another wad of cash, or risk losing all of the money you've continually poured into us over the years. Ironically, the D4E might be helpful to PI's in insolvency. Debt holders get first dibs, then equity. As a great slew of the debt is about to transition to equity, it might be a case of better to get 7.5% of something than 100% of nowt!
LOL
The market is never wrong and if it is on the odd occasion it can remain so for longer than your patience or piggy bank can hold out. Its a Zombie company that wont survive in its current form. It has too much debt and no way of paying it back despite the financial engineering going on with bond holders or whatever other BS you think is coming from Africa or wherever else. . PI's are toast on this. The markets reaction today is as plain can be. The fat lady is about to sing
Will this open offer be fully subscribed at 38.5 million shares. The directors are having less than a million between them. What happens if it isnt fully subscribed ? Who here is going to buy more at 11.3p ?
Agreed I don't recall information before today suggesting they need 90m to keep the lights on post restructure. Not sure if this is a game to get current lenders to cough up otherwise they get nothing. Never sure in these situations who will actually come out on top. Always feels like those with the most invested get to walk away with a company that has no baggage at the cost of the small PIs. Logic says its time to duck out given what appears to be new info
Aha Why would directors participate in part or in full in the offer at 11.225 pence? I rest my case.
The reaction makes no sense at all. Herd instinct to panic! This morning's RNS says that Avanti also initiated an open offer to raise up to GBP4.3 million through the issue of shares at the price of 11.225 pence per share. This is equivalent to the per share price being offered to those holding the 2023 notes. I would expect that 11.225 pence is good enough for the Bondholders so it should be the floor instead of the crazy prices currently prevailing. It is certainly an opportunity to top up.
i was a shareholder here last year and sold out . Will admit was annoyed with your chat at the time . But have to say u was right
Agreed Mathsman, though I like your way of putting it: "$50 million small change"! :)) Why have all the old posts suddenly disappeared?
Well, I do not understand the reaction, this was known surely? Anyway just topped up another 12500 shares, risk is very high, so it the reward. This is my bet that the customers will appear by June in nick of time and that 40m will turn up. As has been said they would not have signed up if not expecting success, OR,OR, of course some kind of corporate action. I would expect to see a recovery before 16:30 today. Of course I am easily wrong, but the successful launch and with every hope of swift deployment (seems well on way from latest reports, just the panels to open now) suggest otherwise. If the SP gets tp around 4.5p a further top up will be done. GL to all the small investors.
Well now they are talking of trouble meeting debts AFTER the restructuring. I think that is new news.
First time I can recall that they have actually talked about putting the Company into insolvency. Red or black folks, take your pick.
You forgot to mention the di-lithium crystal capability!
