The man is a fool. Fracking in this country is 110% safe. He should concern himself with countries such as China or India when it comes to the impact of energy policy on climate change. Britain should pay less regard to the shrill ill informed wailing of minority pressure groups through dubious media outlets such as the Guardian.

He really does believe in a perfect world! Play IMAGINE
What….
Papers former UN CHIEF warns UK against fracking?
Ah wrong board sorry although IGAS and EDR do share a lot of prospects together.
Hard to guess, I hope with tomorrow planning Committee meeting if North Kelsey is approved that could take us to 4p and then if we get a positive outcome on North Sea and uk land permissions becoming easier along with fracking too then it's anyones goes but I would think at least 8p. Then there is also the CPR due from UJO about Wressel which could be worth 2p. All in all if everything goes well in the next few weeks we could be sat at 10 - 15p but it's all a big IF.
Any bets on where the share price will open at if they are granted government shale approval this week
Oh yes I forgot item 9:
9. Scrap the "traffic light" system. This was set at such a stupidly low level it was constantly triggered, causing palpitations amongst the eco worriers, and ultimately causing fracking to be shut down. The trigger alert should only occur if 2.0 on the Richter scale is hit 3 times in 24 hours.
i hope you peeps will be wearing your g suits,at 8am.lol.
Companies like IGAS and Cuadrilla have suffered heavy losses trying to kick start the fracking industry. They need some serious political commitment, and legal and financial support if they are to throw more money at this. For example, the following needs to happen:
1. Licenses need to be reinstated and extended
2. Government, police and legal support against activists, vandalism and obstruction. Think about significant exclusion zones, injunctions, banning named individuals.
3. Fast track planning applications direct to govt dept.
4. Ban landowners (such as NT and C of E) from refusing to allow fracking on their land. "Right to frack" as a national imperative.
5. Companies should have the option of surrendering their accumulated tax losses for an immediate cash payment at the current rate of Corporation Tax. That would be conditional on companies re-activating sites or starting new drilling.
6. Tax holiday for 10 years starting from initial commercial flow of gas.
7. Reinstate awards for local communities after a year's flow of commercial gas.
8. Support/fund research into efficient, improved fracking.
Phew, can't think of any more at the mo. Suggestions welcome.
Used to have quite a few shares in this a long time ago, not invested at the moment but I can see this going up quite a lot tomorrow, well done to all the holders.
It is estimated that if the site was fully developed, it could create ten wells producing between 60billion and 80billion cubic feet of shale gas in total.
Just read this on the Lloyds board too.
Word is getting out there.....

I bought iGas prob 10 years ago at the £1 mark. After a rise to around £1.30 they dropped dramatically and were so low, like 3-5p they were adjusted to about £18 a share and holdings reduced accordingly. In theory no loss/no gain.
This might be where the £18 valuation occurred. Never the less they remained very low over the years after the demonstrations over shale.
I have now averaged down to about 48P and hope to recover all of my losses and more. once they reach that which I think might be in the next month. At that time I will decide if it remains as a long term investment, assuming that 12 years isn't classed as long term already!
I am just catching up on this forum.
Given a lot of posters were not here at the time of Goldman's £18, note that it was based on the SHALE GAS IF it were to be allowed ie fracking etc. Goldman stated THEN [3 July 2013] that "co's shale gas resource now model c 1 5 TRILLION CU FT RECOVERABLE based on the co's mean vol of c 1 0 2 Trillion cu ft."
"A/c we acknowledge shale is at an early stage in the UK, the re-rating potential for Igas in the event of SUCCESS could be material [almost 1700% on our estimate.]

Call up this title to read and check.

The opposition to SHALE GAS FRACKING put an end to all that, history shows.
Hence, I was quoting history in case some old-timers are here from that time.
The Ukraine situation has forced another re-think of SHALE GAS FRACKING but from current reports, one notes there is still divided views among Ministers. NEXT WEEK, THE GOVT'S NEW ENERGY STRATEGY WILL TELL US WHAT THE DECISION/S ARE OR NOT?
£18 was a long time ago by Goldman. I recall that IGas sold some licences to Ineos.
The Proactive Investors article a few days ago mentioned iGas's current licences.
In case you thought it was a scam, here's a confirmation of Randall Mill's "Hydrino" physics theory: https://tinyurl.com/INVERSEHYDROGENQUANTUMSTATES
£18 a share seems a bit ambitious!! I think they should reach 40p or even 50p by the end of next month, if the conflict in the Ukraine continues, as the UK government will in have to look at ways of ensuring that the UK gas supply continues. According to the Financial Times "The 2 analysts offering 12 month price targets for IGAS Energy PLC have a median target of 50p, with a high estimate of 65p and a low estimate of 35p. The median estimate (50p) represents a 100% increase from the price of 24.90."
It would be nice if someone got the UK govt to take a look at this device .
I want one to replace my combi-boiler and my electricity provider...
"The 3000-5000K SunCell® plasma emits radiation at a power density of 4.6 to 35 MW/m2, corresponding to an extraordinary 150 kW to 1.14 MW, respectively, transmitted through an 8-inch diameter window. With light recycling, the transmitted radiation incident a CPV DRA can be converted from optical to electrical power at over 50% efficiency enabling extraordinary performance, logistics, low capital cost, and projected electricity costs of less than $0.001/kWh. 95k shares available on the order book. Pending.
New to this and bought in at an average of 24p now. Could the upside really be £18 plus per share as I’ve read? That would be going on a multiple of 72 on my initial investment.
Year high: 37.50p , FYI.
350% surge expected in this. Not selling.
Good result on other mainland gas driller this morning. Doors should be opening again soooon. Come on IGAS lets have an intention of approach RNS
