I emailed Linda to tell her we were all very frustrated and was there anything she could say. She replied : Good to hear from you as always. Let me reassure that we are working hard on the optimisation of the FS and will announce the results in due course. At the same time we are continuing to explore the development and sale strategies available to us. I am sorry that we have not been in a position to update the market earlier and that we continue to test our shareholders' patience with what must seem to be a frustratingly slow lack of progress. Kind regards Linda Naylor Finance Director Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited ------------------------------------------------ I had asked her about DFS sign-off and any specifics she could give on the hold-up but she has by-passed that. However, sounds positive with 'optimisation' of the project and I never mentioned 'development and sale strategies' but she did.
People locking in losses before year end?
it will soon be 5 years since my initial investment here... not a lot has really happened apart from the decline in the SP. I really hope we can expect some news soon. Surely the Chinese regulator must have signed off the DFS by now.... this company needs a CLEAR strategy to generate some value for shareholders - if we have offers for the project then shareholders should be told. I will make an effort to attend the AGM later this year - I am fed up of waiting and being told we have a "world class asset"
what?
are the commercial side of the co still alive
9124344 It's been a joke for over a year now
It's becoming a joke now.
Are the chinese ever going to offer a deal.
Quite a few sells and the bid and ask holding fairly well. is this an order being filled like we saw last week?
9124344, I'm sure we all share your frustration at the snail's pace of the development of this company. I first invested 6 years ago at 49p and have seen the sp drift away or plummet since then. Like you, my average is now around 9p and I hold 100,000 shares. I have kept patience with Chaarat for two fundamental reasons; firstly, the company has licenses for developing a genuinely huge, world class resource-now proven- that will be relatively cheap tp mine. Second, the majority of shares are held by institutions or board members who paid a far higher price per share for them than you and I have. CGH is not a miner so unlike mining companies who regularly update markets on production etc, the company has far fewer reasons to issue RNS's . Add to that the fact that we have heavy Chinese interest and we have the 'swimming through treacle' scenario we are faced with today and every day. I believe that the publication of the DFS is a very significant milestone and I also believe news re a jv (most likely) or buyer will follow once this has been signed off. Having waited for 6 years up to this point, I am not going to bale out now, however frustrating the wait may be. The hard work has been averaging down from 49p for me.... so I will continue to wait and back my hunch and the company's fundamentals. Good luck.
Chin up chaps. It could all change very quickly.
The company is too slow in updating the market. It is so frustrating for the shareholders. Surely there is something in pipeline a JV or a full sale. My average now is 8.9p with a holding of 80,000. I just don't know what to do? Hold or just sell the job lot. Dek bigs up the asset but in just over 4 years there is still no positive news to date. The share price has been on a downward trend!! Just need some positive news.
this share has been a disaster to date
Hi there.. Lets hope that the start of Spring in the 'K' will see a thaw here and things start to warm up somewhat.
Alligin - good theory of 1000 shares a day except it's a leap year ! A new week - hopefully not another one for Dekel and co to disappoint us.
Many of us have been waiting for 4 years plus for Dekel and Chaarat to deliver some value to shareholders - What news can we expect from Chaarat in the coming months - We are still waiting for the final DFS (which the Chinese regulator has approved) Release of the above might lead to an offer for the project from the Chinese. We supposedly have a suitor who having done due diligence is "raising funds" - will this come to anything Does Chaarat need to raise funds in the short term? I hope the BoD can finally deliver some value for shareholders - I plan on attending the AGM this year as it worries me that we have no plan B - we might have a world class asset here with billions of $ of gold in the ground however without funding it's worth zilch.
I also reckon the large trade was a buy- someone purchasing a thousand shares for every day in the year?! A definite sign of confidence and good luck to them.
Definitely a buy. I could only sell 100000 for 6.28p yesterday and 6.47p just now. Can't see a sell of nearly 3x that amount going through at 6.9p
are we sure its a buy? Seems to be a seller just under the 7p price - hence the overhang and inability to surpass the 7p level until this has cleared...
That will explain all the sells around 6.8p with no drop in price. Let's hope it's all up from here.
It wasn't me ! But that is a good trade - presumably a Buy?
I hope this is good sign. Pretty gauling to think that this buyer is getting in now at these silly prices whilst others here have had their money tied up in the stock for YEARS and entered at much higher price. Seems pretty darn unfair!!! Investing is all down to timing?
But are things about to become more interesting? 365k BUY just gone through….. Thats big for this stock and bigger than anything we've seen for some time. Now I've just tried a dummy buy and anything over 50k's worth and I'm paying way over the quoted ask at something around 7.14 So its not going to take much more demand to move this above 7p. Lets see what happens...
I need to lower my average a little more currently 10.5p - and I wanted to see how much stock is available sub 7p
Nice one for buying but I'm not sure boredom is the best trading tactic I've heard - lol. Did you predict we'd get sign-off for the DFS this year? Maybe a tad optimistic.
