probably fell with ftse ( and housebuilders ) hopefully bounce back tomorrow fingers crossed but you never know i only bought in here last week
why the drop,anybody?
Good news as new supplier to Gatwick airport. Construction/housebuilding looking postive. Edge up shortly.
What is really going on at the grass roots?? Mass exodus from Speedy Lifting to GAP Lifting, exodus of the Survey people in East London to A-Plant, no one specialist left in the power division and the same with Pumps. All the Area Managers cut from the business, suddenley depot managers that cannot make decisions for themselves as that is what the Area Managers did all now looking to their Regional Directors for guidance on day to day issues. Regional Directors now snowed under. National contracts in place and cannot backup the service, should i add any more on stop here??? Must admit though i am glad about the share price, well done Speedy........ Lets hope all this restructuring every 2 seconds pays off hey............ Good luck to all those great people left still working at Speedy! May 2014 be a double bubble year for everyone in the hire sector, and for goodness sake lets get the hire rates up, especially non operated plant boys, ROI on telehandlers is awful
maybe- i respect your opinion mate, but i would sooner see steady, solid progress than big surges, which encourage volatility in the s.p.-----however ,i would love to see 70p next week!!!!
end of week or early next week? still time yet
mate---- your next observation is...? ----------stop guessing!
Rail not really significant market for Speedy. SP just a reaction to mediocre spring trading as is about the norm for this industry. Will pick up later in year subject to continued upturn in economy IMO. Good, solid, well run company now.
doubts about high speed rail construction is putting dampeners on SDY.
Call me selfish but I hope prices stay like this til late next week when I get mi Divi from HHR so I can buy another 10K here ... then let it soar :-)
Think this will hit 70p by the end of week or early next week? imo.
it's gonna get interesting then youth,------if you're right.!!
a year ago their vans were idle in the yard now buzzing about
Well said. but it depends on who you know? That all i will say so if you invest dyor.
you been saying the same thing since oct 2012,"hold on,news to come"would you care to divulge if you have some insider knowledge as not to mislead others into buying in here. don`t get me wrong I am heavily invested in here and have seen a heavy loss turn into a nice profit, having worked for this company for 15 years I still have many good friends still on the payroll and get to find out most things with whats going on and don`t know of any pending announcements. as I said before I am invested here and definitely will not be selling for a good few years as I know what the share price can get to,i remember going back a few years when it reached £14 a share at one point I know this sort of price won`t be reached again because of the share issue a few years ago but do believe when the economy finally turns there is huge potential here. this is my opinion only but just saying to anyone thinking of investing here always dyor and not take anyones word on whats coming. good luck all holders.
all hold tight very good news just around the corner?
>>>What the team have done at Speedy has been truly remarkable.<<< Agreed, 88888. I wasn't a fan of Corcoran as he and his 'team' landed SDY in such a huge pile of doo. However, they've changed, learnt a lot (it seems) and this time round it should be real hay rather than the bubble and debt explosion that saw them touch 358p. Debt's down and City comments show that the management is regaining some trust. Corcoran snaffled up his free options this month for a nice £0.5m bonus and McGrath held onto most of his freebies. Good for them. It may be a little early for hay making but increasing faith, more contracts and a positive BoD make this a 'weak buy' vote for me. Happy with my holding for now.
What the team have done at Speedy has been truly remarkable. This coupled with the positive news from the construction industry and investment in the infrastructure only enhances the prospects even further. Brokers forecasts ranges from between 55p -75p for the coming 12 months. If Speedy can win another big contract or two from the Middle East maybe 80p - 85p possibly by March/April of next year. A tough task, however, not insurmountable. Still feel that 63p/64p will be achieved. It came very close last week. Unfortunately, the weak sold which slowed the momentum. Perhaps this week will be different? Congratulations to Andy Murray or should it now be Sir Andy Murray, on a remarkable British win. A truly inspirational game.
Yep - think we'll go on to consolidate low 60s over the next couple of weeks. A year high of 60.5p was fantastic on Friday. WIll be holding for the long term. Come'on team speedy!!! By the way 88888 - where do you see us being at the end of the year??
some big buys coming through. Providing the market stays strong this week could touch around 63/64p this week. All looking good.
beauty is holding strong. Lots more to come. Hold tight for the ride!!!! Gla.
