Fingers crossed for a positive IMS tomorrow morning, once over the 70p mark I am hoping it will charge ahead to 80p plus
is there a statement due tomorrow???
Wouldn't it be great if SDY were to announce on Thursday that they have received a takeover offer. They won't.... or will they?
I think a Big buyer is in the background buying all shares that are being sold ?
You are absolutely right Jrigsby, they all do it. Spent 30+ years in this industry, and it's all about having the right fleet at the right time. Lighting towers are used (in numbers) on major projects like the Olympics and motorway projects. With something like a 4 - 6 year fleet life and no doubt a substantial downturn in demand for them they need to turn these assets into something more hireable. No big deal. IMO, if you are looking for a quick killing, this is the wrong share, but if you want 15 to 25% share growth for the next, say, three years, hold on and you will get your reward.
your friend has just dropped a boo boo, he should have held onto them?
A Plant sold a number recently too. Could be just getting rid of old kit, I have done some research and they all do it. Hewden Plant have a big sale at the end of the month. Think there is a case of misinterpretation here, or ex employees with sour grapes!
Not invested in here, so please don't accuse me of being a deramper. I have a friend who works for Speedy, and he has just sold all his holding as he thinks bad news is on the horizon. Speedy have just sold 100 lighting towers, and his view is "why are they selling lighting towers when it's coming to the time of year when they are highly utilised by contractors?." Just though I would post this, make of it what you like.....
cards here. Lots of buying over the last few days. Watch this space!!!!
Why has there been 2 noteable departures then?
Sells as flagged I think
another.....
like a bug hefty buy......
30X30M, We all know exactly who you are, your an ex Speedy employee, why don't you concentrate on finding another job? Your comments speak as if you are still an employee of Speedy but I have it on good information that you left well before May this year.
Interesting comment 30x30M what are you saying ?
I take that as a no then........
Does anybody know when the next set of results are due and any ideas on what they may be like.
30x30m... you are obvioulsy a bitter employee. im sure you happy to take your wages each month though. if you have nothing positive to say. dont say nothing at all.
over a million each!
I feel that Speedy will receive a bid for a takeover. Iam sure someone has persuaded a major shareholder to sell. Perhaps we will see an RNS shortly telling us who the II is that have sold ;-) Do not panic with these millions of shares sold as sp has not been affected as we can see. Keep invested guys!!!
Looks like we have left a few passengers behind today !
The train is about to leave
Bought in 2 minutes, something's cooking, hoping for a big rise any day
Over the past 3 weeks or so this sp has been held back for a reason. Millions of shares bought today including 2 x large buys of a million shares. Take over speculation has raised it's head again, This time I feel it could be a serious attempt. But who? Possibly a large hedge fund? The coming days will be very interesting to say the least. Give me a £1.00 a share and that Aston Martin will be mine GLA
