Europe’s Gas Traders Start Tapping Storage as Cold Snap Arrives
Consecutive net withdrawals occur first time since April
European natural gas traders have started taking fuel out of the region’s record inventories as colder weather settles in, drawing from its buffer against winter supply shocks.
Consecutive net withdrawals took place for the first time since April this week, data from Gas Infrastructure Europe show, and may accelerate as parts of Europe face below-normal temperatures over the weekend.
looney probably currently up to his armpit’s in cow ****.
thats what happens when you stand behind a cash cow,in real life!
Auchincloss is not an accountant. His background is tax.
Get this sold to a serious competitor - with a BoD who are in their positions because they know the business.
Hopefully you are taking the p*ss, C156?
Just because he couldn't help himself!!! The board no better, they had warnings about Looney, yet no plan.
Accountant running the company, what a joke. They should all be kicked out. The gravy train to be stopped!
It's damaging the company and importantly not helping the share price.
Not sure what small shareholders can do apart from writing to the investor services???
I wonder what Looney is up to. Could be the next Exxon/Chevron CEO, then put in a cheeky bid for BP. It hasn't been the same without him, I kinda miss the old rogue.
I’ve added here.
Lot of oilies are down.
Look at Petrofac, all time low. There is opportunity there
Morning all
Very quite Friday.
Oil at the bottom of the range OPEC seem to be defending.
We are now 2 month into our new CEO search, so there should be a list by now.
So that’s 2 reasons next direction for sp could be up.
Have managed to not buy so far, but is sp drops to £4.50, will probably top up
Onward and Upwards
Comons, I agree. The Saudi's need the income to fund the country, new cities, football etc.
They have been very clear, speculators/shorters will be punished. I am sure they play the market behind the scenes also: double win!!

Good morning all
I think you missed the funny side to that comment, look again
I'm at BUY for BP
Brave move !!
I wouldn't be surprised if the Saudis cut production after what they have said.
I think the thee should be ye
It's a real blast from the past
It's Yorkies that were famous for their short arms and deep pockets lol
Although as a young kid, I still remember to this day that advert of the little old scotsman, as he said 'Aye, yee wouldneee be having a sale now, would thee'
I’m sure we always buy a bit more on ex div day.
I assume it’s a volume thing, but part of me thinks buy extra the day before instead and save a few 5.5 p( maybe that’s just the Scottish upbringing).
BP p.l.c. (the "Company") announces that on 9 November 2023 it has purchased, in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Company, a total of 4,428,252 of its ordinary shares of $0.25 each ("Shares") on the London Stock Exchange and Cboe (UK) as part of the buyback programme announced on 31 October 2023 (the "Programme") and as detailed below:
Added 25% increase in my lth portfolio ar 4.75. Good vLue at that level.
All this buying has taken it back up
Maybe a few will leave the register tomorrow but it's a good showing
Just taken another 1000 at £4-74 and that's me done for now
10k holding and a happy Christmas to come, God willing.
Not sure myself yet about where this will be in a few weeks. I'm still sitting on the side lines after selling on euphoria last week.
On the bright side i can but quite a bit more shares with the capital at todays price:)
It's always a waiting game unless you get extremely lucky within a day or so
Keeping averages lower with income has made this share one of the best held
Working capital well placed in my book
A Brave move ;0)
It got there in the end, fully back in now,gla
