One sided report but think we all got played like a fiddle. Lucky escape on strato did post a few replies to you on here last week but they were taken down they don't seem to like people going of subject.
That article says Oxus agreed by contract not to claim for sunk costs ,why would it do that and then spend years with a protracted international arbitration? Everyone was under the impression that the Initital investment is the min they should have got back... That's the first snippets re the outcome of this case (albeit not from oxs side) so I'm surprised there's not been much discussion on any forums.... Without the official report its Confusing as to what's go on here..
10 Apr 2016 Result of meeting of creditors This document is being processed and will be available in 5 days. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/04056219/filing-history BW
Cheers Schofers... sounds about right to me.. I left just under 20% of my original stake in, but if I;d have known that sunk costs were part of the contractual agreements and could be lost, I'd have fully bailed. What about Strat hey?! Bet you're glad you skipped that one!
I think I will treat that article as 'tosh' put out by the Uzbeks to one of their mates in Latvia.......nothing new there in my opinion.
....as we wait and wait and.....w a i t.....I have often wondered what became of Vladlenin. He obviously had a better understanding of Uzbekistan, than most of us and I guess a hefty investment too.It seems extraordinary he just completely disappeared, just like RS, without comment or opinion. Was Vlad just a 'nom de plume' for Richard Shead - stranger things have happened......
Fair enough, I still can't see it, as I say, must be a glitch somewhere?
The original one about still able to see 60p? I can still see it there matey
Onions post appears to have disappeared, must be a glitch because I don't remember it being offensive.
Onion... I like your style!! Not your views on women... but style, I like!! :) Let's hope so. GLA
Probably just wishful thinking on Onion's behalf, right bud? Bless 'im. As far as I'm aware, nothing has been announced regarding an appeal from BDO. Anyone know any different? Nothing on other forums either....
Has an appeal been announced then ?
we could still be on for around 60 pence per share
Thank you guys for that, ill pop back in a few months when you most likely can't even post in here no longer. haha!
Considering the lack of transparency it's not just the people involved with the company that have been affected... Until told otherwise ,shareholders only hope they are able find the funds to launch an appeal.
Pretty sure that the arbitration panel did throw out the counterclaim by the Uzbeks. I do hope that Mr Shead is doing ok, this must have taken quite a toll on him. Considering that we had a split panel decision, I really find the lack of transparency unacceptable. I don't expect anything from administrator, and suspect our litigation funder will just want to recover their costs. But would be delighted to be proved wrong. With gross mis-carriage of justice heaped on Rurelec and then Oxus, I would be investing on the basis of a court decision again.
Just check the BDO website for first time in ages fully expecting to see oxs had already gone to the wall so was extremely surprised to see they are still here ! Hopefully this is a a good sign as surely OXS would already be finished if there was no hope. This length of time makes me wonder if we are planning to appeal ?
C'mon Admins, we need to know whether to finally consign this to the dustbin or continue to hold out faint hopes of at least some payout. Throw us a bone please....
Supposedly there was a creditors meeting at the end of the month where they were deciding what to do. The administrators had said that a decision on whether they were going to appeal was still to be taken. We have no news on what either side has decided. The administrators job is supposedly to salvage what they can and if possible get a company back to being a going concern. If there is no appeal, I believe there is no company. They may not even be able to keep the $10M they have been awarded as there is still a case outstanding with the Uzbeks - for around $10M. Still waiting on news or closure.
Exactly Fraz ! so why have you bothered ?!;o) Schofield - why don't you join advfn y'lazy Taffster and send me a PM, then I can stalk you properly. :o)
After they lost the arbitration I gave up following... Can anyone update me? Havent they gone into administration and the company essentially ceases to exist? Or am I mistaken, I just can't see why people are still posting comments on here
Still lurking in the shadows I did say I wanted to get in sub 4p and they are offering 3.67 TB which seems a good entry point but whenever you get a sudden slide its best to back off until it finds its new level just in case there is something nasty in the woodshed What now Petty got your eye on anything else? and has anybody found anything out about yesterdays meeting? wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend
for your very recent comments, I guess we all want to know why it went so badly wrong and is there anything that can be salvaged although I agree with most that we are totally screwed and can kiss OXS good bye. So if i don't post on here again then GOOD LUCK to you all with your future investments
The only twist you're going to get out of this is a tight tweak to the top of the knackers. And talking of twists...what twists? 80% chance they were going to get a lowball offer or lose - and they did. Put into Admin, predictable. Only people to get anything from this : Funders. Predictable. PIs screwed: Predictable. Can't see any twists to be honest. Call me a cynic.
