It was going to 3 quid the other day.
Good to see the mighty Glencoe get back In her stride,
Glen seems to be in limbo about where to list any new venture ,not sure how that will effect existing share holders,
Obviously there can't be any loss of monies, but makes ya think.?
In and out again 392 on Monday, out Wednesday 421 but I have a sneaky feeling these may just keep going and I will regret selling. But I cant do this if I worry about what happens when I sell.
I will hold commods long term in a spray and pay type 'natural resources' fund but in the meantime I am trading and trying to make 20/30% before then wait for the 'readjustment' of equities across the board.
Glencore has been a delight the past few months. Volatile and no stamp.
Yep looking good again, i can see this getting to £4.50 and above fairly quickly!! gla
Aff, took a quick look at T212 earlier.
They mention banking protection for the usual £85k, then in the next breath mention QFF (or similar) funds, which they say are not protected at all, which is what they buy with investors cash to provide the 5.2% interest. Although obviously they say they pick 'safe' ones.
Note theres also 0.7% 'paying in charge' too, although no trading fees as such, so for something like a fund/share trading type account where a few trades are dine those costs probably run close to neutral, but for a buy/hold investor there would be some math to be done.
That 5.2% though, and paid daily, is superb.
Affmead I see
Thx
At least they split it with you,as other companies can do it and keep the payments for it without you knowing.
Just agree to loan your shares and they show you the shares that are being shorted and interest being paid per shares .
Money just then appears in your account daily .
Affmead
How does it work? We lend shares from your portfolio to reputable borrowers and receive interest in exchange. We split all interest equally with you. Share lending is fully automatic and will never cause delays when selling.

Yes the app is great and i normally place my llimit orders. Loan your shares explain not sure i get tjat
Hi Eviking .Best all round app ,I am saving £10 every time I buy or sell ,so between myself and wife’s Isa we will be saving a small fortune.
Also the fact that if you have money sitting the 5.2 interest rate whist waiting for a share you fancy is brilliant.
And also the fact you can get paid for agreeing to loan your shares ,instead of the share dealing company getting it all .
One regret is I did not find it earlier .
Recommend it big time
Interesting article on the zinc market and Peru. Might be of interest given Gelncore's 34% stake in Antamina that's mentioned, as well as the discussion of smelters.

More than £10 billion departs London Stock Exchange in a week as crisis deepens
I wonder if Glencore will UK and join US

Thx Daytrader. The downside is watching the share price rising after you sell but the secret is knowing the target ie beat savings and inflation and minimising risk in such uncertain times. If I get wound up with further gains that’s when I end up watching prices fall back again and haven’t moved forward. Effectively (but not entirely) I am in cash…but swing trading to add a few percentage points.
The wars are interesting….too many people looking under the hood of Ukraine and the financial advantages for the few, so worth kicking things off in the Middle East too, they are always reliable enough to keep troubles and uncertainty going and the West are normally onboard with any BBC messages. Ie easier target for the masses to be distracted with.
Evi,
A good point, although as im maxed out with this years isa's im not sure i can open it yet even if unfunded. Obviously can open a non-isa one though. A question for you guys. Do Trading212 have a UK banking license, and so funds protected, or not?
Have to be careful with things like 'Resolute' as if they fold i believe you are not so well protected. Just wondering of Trading212, being essentially an app, has that protection.
Not on Advfn buddy, bit extreme on there for my 'ears' - bad enough on here sometimes lol
