I wonder how the request for a review will proceed?
John, we've been here for a decade now, and we've still not got even a loose timescale yet for the fruition of any one of our projects. Lol.
Looks like CSP’s map of future mining in Sweden, with Kallak being mined in 2030 is pretty much on course at this rate.Still these shares could pay for my grandchildren’s care home costs yet.lol.
I don't feel that there's any pressure on Mr Baylan at all. He is fully aware, particularly via Kurt's correspondence, that our application has been circulating for six and a half years. We shareholders also know that priority was supposedly given to our case (though Kurt didn't say by whom) some six months ago and counting, and if we officially were told that, then Baylan must know. The problem we are dealing with, I feel, is simply the deep-rooted disgraceful habit within the Government of severe eggshell treading, resulting in nobody getting upset, or at least not for too long, because when something upsetty applecarty even mildly occurs, which vaguely ruffles anyone, it is stopped immediately, with reversion back to acute inertia mode, which of course brings a sigh of huge relief and smiles all round once again. Lol. So that's what happens, what we are dealing with. The Swedish Government coalition is effectively a safe, inert gas, and must remain so. Any hint of volatility dealt with promptly at source, (yes, fast, shock) before the thing has time to form an alternative state and explode into unmanageable carnage.
It's about time we took the fight to them then and gave Baylan a deadline of our own. Meddle with this inertia from the outside. Lol.
All in my humble. Some of it in jest.

Interesting article posted on Avanza
well...except the opposition parties would support the decision in Parliament - don't need the green's support. I appreciate it's not a Parliamentary decision but...
I don't know if this has already been posted but I've found this report on sustainable mining with particular focus on human rights and Indigenous Sami rights
https://www.sei.org/publications/swedish-mining-sustainable-futures/
You may recall, as I predicted. It was always going to be this way in the public domain of Parliament - his only other options were to admit incompetence or to announce the result of our application.
You may also recall that the other limb of my prediction was that Baylan would be shouting at his minions behind closed doors to get this sorted out and not put him in such an embarrassing position again.
The question was never going to be answered, but that was not the point. It has increased the pressure on the govt, especially so if it gets extensively picked up in the news media.
The Green Party have him by the short and curlies, I suspect
so much for prioritising.
he has done absolutely nothing in 10 months. I doubt he has even looked at the application or designated any staff to it's progress. utterly shameless.
Minister for enterprise and innovation. he is a stranger to both concepts.
The Swedish economy is at the beginning of an historic downturn and he is petrified of a few reindeer herders.
Pathetic. you had better hope Finland and Kosovo come good and soon. Kallak will see no mine for a very long time, in my opinion.
Tintin...As you say, we couldn't really expect him to say anything else... but it does put the pressure on.
Will they take it lying down?
basically no comment - no surprise - but at least the embarrassing delay has been highlighted - Baylan appears to have no shame.
Frozen by fear could be more apt explanation
Food for thought...."...without compromising legal certainty."
And the answer is....not forthcoming:
"Answer to question 2019/20: 102 by Linus Sköld (S) The
mining projects in Kallak and Laver
Linus Sköld has asked me when it is to be expected that decisions in the cases on Kallak and Laver, respectively.
The cases concerning the applied processing licenses for the areas Kallak K no 1 in Jokkmokk municipality and Laver K nr 1 in Älvsbyn municipality contain extensive documentation with several complex legal issues, for example, balances according to the Environmental Code between several different national interests. This obviously affects the processing time.
However, the starting point for the government's handling is always that it should be done quickly, efficiently and without compromising legal certainty. At this stage, I cannot comment on when the cases are sufficiently prepared so that decisions can be made."

Ibrahim Baylan
Thanks to Nalfaren (Avanza)
Question being asked at 12pm (11am here) - anything other than yeah yeah whatever from Baylan could produce a spark to the SP. well, in Sweden anyway....
Nah. A snappy monologue then a quick exit. Lol.
Joking.
:-)
I'm not sure the opposition is organised enough. We largely have Tories vs Labour plus a few 'pilot fish'. Sweden on the other hand has The Social Democrats and Green Party vs Moderate party, sweden democrats, centre party, left party, christian democrats and liberals.
I'm sure there's a common saying about drinking at a brewery and organisational skills that would be appropriate
I wonder if the opposition will have a chance to respond?
He won't give anything useful away Sooz and will somehow dodge all responsibility for his part played in the reality of there being wholly detrimental effects felt in many communities, as a direct consequence of untimely ministerial decisions.
Something like that.
In my opinion. Lol.
He's a politician so I wouldn't expect anything of substance

Thanks RonnyG (Avanza)
So, what will Mr Baylan have to say tomorrow....12pm I think. How forthcoming will he be?
Double bubble
