Evening. Asa has a message for you lol. …. atb

Have to agree with lbjj on their politics but one thing is for sure that this downturn is coming quicker than it takes to open a mine. This might be just what is needed to speed up the process because now they have GOT to do something about creating jobs.Their past glory is at long last starting to bite them in the a*se.Hurray! imho.
As time rolls on and the cash burn develops I feel this is inevitable. I fully agree that Kurt has to diversify after recognising Swedish politicians are either useless or green zealots and a switch of emphasis is needed away from this socialist heaven ! They have lived off their past economic success for too long and need a Thatcher style dose of reality in forthcoming years. Grudgingly I have to say lbjj has it right despite doubting his true motives about mining.
Hi Sooz. Yes, I take your point re "forthcoming", but knowing how the Swedes have failed to operate under any reasonable or fair timescale for us, and I have wept at that, lol, I reluctantly took it to mean only sometime in the future. As ever, it just isn't specific enough. Like "soon", it's open to interpretation as to what would qualify as "soon", and the same can be said of "forthcoming". We already know that in our case, it hasn't meant imminent. Lol.
It would be great if the mining conference coukd be highlighted to the good, with some meat behind it, as in, nicely supported by the issuance prior of licences for both Kallak and Laver. What a boost that would be for the industry.
Alas, one can dream.
And I do. x
And there are only 10.12 million people in the whole country.
Decades of unbroken growth and prosperity without effort has spawned a generation of very sloppy and aimless politicians in Sweden who fully expect a superannuated sinecure for life without hindrance by such pesky issues as an economic downturn.
Faced with the prospect of having to actually manage their economy and not just bask in it’s reflected ongoing glory, they are hopelessly lost.
Damberg and Baylan are shining examples of the appalling atrophy and indolence in Swedish politics. The emperor Nero would be proud...
Looks like Swedish polticians are every bit as bad as UK politicians. Seems like granting Kallak might alleviate employment issues in the area:

I hope KB is lining his ducks up..... if no decision is made before the november meeting of the miners is completed.... share holder revolt and sell off time for holders by year end me thinks
GLA
Eric, I' still holding on to "forthcoming", because next year is next year and a bit of a stretch for forthcoming . Will it be before the November Mining Conference, maybe, maybe not..they've certainly got the brass neck. That's just five more little weeks away.
Yes Sooz, readily handing out exploration licences then not following up on those licences with the issuance of next stage permits, well, is nonsensical. Not to mention very badly and falsely representing their supposedly proud traditions. As we hurtle towards November, I find it difficult to see a decision coming from Baylan this year. The questions are, how long does Kurt give him? What will Kurt do to then, if no decision comes, to force the issue?
We surely can't be expected to remain invested without a timescale for the advancement of Kal. It's just ridiculous Sooz.
Early morny morn. x
And why are they continuing to award exploration licences in areas where they wont permit a mine?
Cheers Sooz. Good that.
Of course, the Government has not been asked to decide if the Company's application satisfies the process. It does. The MI confirmed this.
What the Government has been asked to decide is, despite the Company's application satisfying all the requirements of the process, is it their intention to give primacy to Sami rights (real or imagined), and in so doing, ignore their own law, mining process, ANI status and the wider mining industry in Sweden.

Alliance News8 July, 2019 | 3:09PM Email Form (Alliance News) - Beowulf Mining PLC on Monday laid out its three step plan for the Kallak North magnetite iron ore project in Sweden in the event of approval. The Nordic-focused miner has been in a protracted fight to get permission for Kallak. However, if its succeeds, Beowulf's first step will be to complete a scoping study of Kallak within 12 months of being awarded the concession. The study will look into logistics and transport, as well as market opportunities for Kallak. The second step is to form a 'development taskforce' with key partners such as Jokkmokks Kommun to "coordinate the activities of interested parties in Kallak, such that project development of Kallak and the development of Jokkmokk can be fully coordinated". Step three for Beowulf would be to talk further with the Sami reindeer herding communities in Sweden "to listen to their concerns, find solutions together to problems that might exist, working towards reaching mutually beneficial agreements that ensure Sami reindeer herding, livelihoods, and culture are protected, and that Sami communities benefit from the development of a mine at Kallak". The three step plan was detailed by Chief Executive Kurt Budge at the Almedalen Political Week in Sweden, which is a meeting of businesses, government and non-governmental agencies, and those involved in politics. Budge said: "This year, in response to a number of queries, I have been presenting the company's plans should the concession be granted, against the backdrop of iron ore prices reaching five year highs during the last week. From a technical perspective, the completion of a scoping study, and from a societal perspective, the creation of formal partnerships and agreements with Jokkmokks Kommun and Sami reindeer herding communities." He added: "The company has done the work required to be granted a concession. We hope that the government is satisfied that is the case, and that the patience shown by our supporters in Jokkmokk and Norrbotten, and our 62% Swedish and 38% UK long-standing individual shareholdersBeowulf Mining Sets Out Three Step Plan For Kallak Project In Sweden (Alliance News) - Beowulf Mining PLC on Monday laid out its three step plan for the Kallak North ... Apropos of spending money, this is interesting:

Thanks John. Lol. Aye, I hadn't thought of that. The more we spend on Kal, the slimmer the chance of us gaining the licence.
Madness ensues.

Sure, why not. Great to see the view from the people on the ground. Not the tactics driven line, presented by the LKAB chairman some time ago. We all know him in Sweden, as he used to be PM for many years. If he says something, go for the opposite :D

I see your point of view Eric re. an RNS and adding value to te company. On the other hand the Swedes may take the view point that if we are stupid enough to throw more money at Kallak in the present situation who are they to stand in our way. They probably think that the more valuable we can prove Kallak to be, then the more difficult they can make it to issue the licence. Now that is really being negative which is ot really my style but just a thought nevertheless.lol. Enjoy your Sunday.
Fabulous bedtime story...can I post in on here? ;-)
Not a hockey match
“I think it requires some special people. Those who are more production-oriented who want to measure what they have achieved every day cannot do this job. It's too abstract, ”says Pierre Heeroma.
Nighty night All. X
How do you do...and thanks for the information. :-)
You are entitled to that opinion Geo, but I don't feel the latest interview reveals the licence to be in the bag.
Obviously though, I hope you are right.
Best of luck to us all.
Thanks for the info Andy. We should have been officially informed of that I reckon, because securing further drilling permits for Kallak is potentially value adding to our bottom line, further boosting the Company's current position. In my opinion.
Swings and roundabouts with this share, but it's difficult to deal with if we don't know important info like that, more so because Kurt just hasn't told us.
Considering what we've been through. Any ray of light for us from Kurt would be welcome. He should know that as well.
Pi55ed off.
Hi Suzy
In brief, the article states Beo applies for more exploration drilling. 50 drillholes. 15-18 000 drill meters. It's the area south of current exploration. Just adjacent to Parkijaur lake. Drilling May-Nov in order not to disturb Sami reindeer herding.
I don't think Beowulf Mining would be spending money on more exploration unless they believed that the licence award was imminent. That RNS on 4th October advising of a CEO interview was a message telling long term holders that the licence is in the bag and therefore don't sell your shares.
I expect the news to be on a Friday between now and 22 November.
