"Let’s hope the Russian authorities don’t read this post....."
Really! I mean really! You don't think they've got other more pressing issues to attend to?
TDT
Jaytem, fighting fascism?Ukraine /NATO lol lots
Let’s hope the Russian authorities don’t read this post and sanction the deal. Stupid and ignorant Jaytem, thanks a bunch.
Jaytem, you have no idea what investors here are doing with the money so don't paint everyone here as greedy and selfish.
Unlike the greedy and selfish here, the money I get through amc from fascist Russia will be donated to Ukrainian organisations to buy military drones. Fighting fascism is what right minded people need to do, not line their own greedy pockets.
gazlad, the RNS from 24/08 says this:
The Board proposes that the record date and payment date for the distribution of the post-Completion dividend shall be no later than 90 days following receipt of the consideration payment.
That suggests that as long as you have shares by the record date, you will get the divi. If I buy for a divi, I usually buy at least 3 working days before the ex-div date to allow the records to be updated to show me as a shareholder.
The problem here is they are saying within 90 days of completion with no hint of the record date, so if you leave it too long, you might miss it. So maybe buy sooner than later.
All existing holders will be on the record and entitled to the divi, unless they've got an odd share structure with A and B class shares with different entitlements but that is not likely with a minnow like this.
Yes - it's in the RNS - have a read!
Is there a cut off date to buy shares that qualify for the divi payout? Or is it a case all shares bought up to end game get the 1.8p
Is my maths correct….
$38m after receipt of proceeds
Current exchange rate makes £34m
1,393m shares
= approx value of 2.4p per share
1.8p return to shareholders
Leaving approx £8m (0.6p per share) in the company
The weakening pound helps us significantly….
Looks like an easy win for 15-20% return on current share price… on the basis this goes through.
Now MD has pointed you in the right direction are you happy that AMC will actually receive the $35m or do you still have concerns?
We need a decent RTO to get our teeth into..
Martingw, perhaps many other RNS’s and many historic posts on this and other forums should also catch your eye.I think you may then take on board the vast amount of facts and discussion that’s taken place regarding AMCand it’s sale.
Most now want this finished with once and for all
MD
Hi MD, thanks for your response. I was in this share a long, long time ago. I've kept an eye out for it ever since, just to see if a sale eventually went through or not.
The latest RNS caught my eye, so I was looking to see if there was an opportunity to buy in below the div price and then get quick money back. Hence, what I saw was a reasonable question. I assume I have missed something then that you have seen?
The same applies too EUA when/if that sells and we know who is buying.
Martingw, should you be in this share, have you done any research.Good grief.
MD
How will they get the money out of Russia to pay shareholders seeing as they are barred from the finance system?
Does the buyer have non-Russian bank accounts?
Yes, I think so because no record date has yet been announced. I've bought a few for old times sake and as long as you buy below 1.8p, you can't lose, whatever the SP is after the disposal. The residual value of the share after the transfer is your Brucie Bonus!
Not really taken enough interest in this as I should have. Realised we had been shafted, accepted the loss. But am I right in thinking we will receive a dividend but still hold AMC shares the value of which will depend on what RY does next?
Will all new comers jumping in now get the divi please
I see bigger trades. Today. People seeing the value here and are happy to wait for the sale. I think the divi may be adjusted upward. Due to the strength of the dollar. Gla.
"Following Completion, we will turn our full attention to the future of the Company, where we endeavour to identify and secure another business opportunity to deliver value to shareholders."
I would lie to think this has already started and management have a number of options available to them. To think they will start looking post completion of sale is bonkers but wouldn't surprise me as there is enough in the kitty for wages!
plus the $5m they have in cash, so around 2.55-2.60p in total
At the exchange rate as of now. The sale alone. Is worth 2.25 pence a share.
Shares to buy. Yep spot on. Trick is to buy below 1.8. And collapsing sp. will be because the asset is gone. But with ten million cash. There is plenty of bargain companies out there to be had. I will be very surprised if this don’t go to 2p. In the coming days. I personally am not using a stop on this as shares will be vulnerable. I mean the mms. Could just hold the stock and make a fortune.
So certainly not as cbb posted at 19,29 ?
DK
So basically when the asset is sold the share price will go down to 0.73p as all that will remain is cash in the bank.
The way i see it is 0.73p + 1.8p = 2.53p. If buy anything below 2.53p, you make money
