Next week - Post completion and receipt of the $35m, AMC will have $38m of cash worth 2.35p per share. So a 40%+ upside for the cash alone, with no geopolitical risk expected next week. The shell left behind may also have some value. As each day ticks buy I am tempted to take a gamble.
Well, today is November 1st.
Will we receive some of our money in November 2025 or in 2022?
As always RY manages to inject some grey into what could be black and white!
‘What the hell were computers invented for’
In Stock Market terms, that’s taking money off Joe Public.
A lot of work behind the scenes.Good grief how many shares are traded on lse on a daily basis.
What the hell were computers invented for.

They are stated in the RNS.but it is puzzling why we have to wait so long (up to 90 days) to be paid. There must be a reason why the company would sit on the money for so long and the RNS hasn’t stated that which leaves cynical posters to think it’s a ploy to get voted back in at the AGM. Perhaps I’m being astonishingly naïve but I’d like to believe there’s a better reason than that. Anyways, roll on next week, let’s hope this gets completed and the money is received by the company and we can all breath a sigh of relief
I’d rather the dividend declared be paid asap thereafter bearing in mind the source of funds.
I wonder if the wedge arrives, they will decide to pay out before the AGM or after.
My bet is after, that way we are less likely to vote them off the board as a parting kick up the Harris.

Monthly interest on $ 35 m - why rush to payout us sh ?
Payment to AMC, all being well, but… isn’t the divi to be paid sometime over the following 3 Months. Never any rush here.
"The parties have discussed and agree that completion is scheduled around 1 November 2022 ("Completion") with the one time payment of US$35 million scheduled five days post Completion"
Tuesday it is then..
Who cares what the ask is.The biggest ask is will the deal be sealed and will the money arrive????

The proceeds of the sale are in dollars therefore forex rate plays a part.
It will not influence the special divi of 1.8p but it will influence what’s left in the company. Weak pound is better for shareholders
"kissed" = "missed" !!!!
Are you suggesting the dividend may be more than 1.8p depending on the exchange rate?
That's NOT what the RNS specifies. It states they intend to pay 1.8p; no mention of $ exchange rates.
If the exchange rate is unfavourable then I would expect them to revise down the divi. If it is favourable, and knowing AMC, I don't believe they'll pay any more. I reckon they'll simply keep the extra cash in the shell company pending any merger/acquisition.
Have I kissed something somewhere about the possibility of it being more than 1.8p?
This is all assuming that deal doesn't flounder over the next few days!
There have been a tonne of "should be" and "will be" statements with this share.
2 things
1) this is a binary bet - if sale falls through then this will be near worthless
2) the upside is more than 0.2p. The USD/GBP fx rate movement alone has added a fair bit to the GBP value, so upside is more than 0.5p or 30%+
Although we were unfortunate with this being based in Russia, I agree that the BoD have been poor - so would strongly prefer a 2nd payout and then sell the company as a shell (with tax losses to utilise) to maximise returns (minimise my losses!) and in 2023.
Not if they don’t sell the mine. As things stand there would be no other buyer. I’m confident it will complete though as the Russian buyer is getting an absolute bargain, just one third of the price being touted before the outbreak of Russia entering Ukraine
Surely topping up at 1.6 leaves enough of a margin when considering the residual value of the company above and beyond the dividend payment?
Let’s hope we complete, that remains an uncertainty and without the money in the bank ……
Is this now a permanent fixed price or does someone need to kick AMC’s server ?
You're at least a week premature - the dates were in the RNS:-
"The parties have discussed and agree that completion is scheduled around 1 November 2022 ("Completion") with the one time payment of US$35 million scheduled five days post Completion."
First one, this week telling us all signed and agreed and second, maybe next week confirming funds...
Corcel used to be Regency Mines one of Andrew Bell's dogs. Bell pushed Mambare, a nickel laterite deposit, for years. No takers. If you thought access at KM was difficult wait to you see where Mambare is located.

Apologies. Wrong thread!
