their previous promising talks hasn't proved correct, they simply don't care about shareholders, I doubt what price will be if they say Fortuna is not going ahded, or announces news very late in the year
The last update said finance discussions are still ongoing , but not secured , so with their track record they could still say no deal , hence the sp trading at historic lows , one of the worst companies in this sector for creating shareholder value .
We are now heading into March and still no sign of this deal being tied up! I'm sure they said back in Nov that the funding talks where at an advanced stage?
MP150 , they are unlikely to purchase shares , their track record is appalling , they instigated a share buyback some time ago when the price was around 1.50 , 25 million investment now valued close to 8.5 million , very astute !!
Not sure what worry's me more, Someone makes a takeover bid at a stupidly low price or even at this bargain bucket price nobody is interested!!!
To little to late This means nothing till approved Can not see directors purchasing shares Company is clutching at straws
This shows the location of Blocks 10 and 12; https://thefundmanager.co.uk/uk-listed-stocks/ophir-energy-plc/
Very brave All end in tears
Brave man to short from here, common sense kicking in this morning....
Are we at the bottom or is there more to come? If you are thinking of shorting this at such a low price you need to be careful.
It may well be a buying opportunity But the volume is up 2-3 times it's 3 year average Something going on and with ophir it tends to work out badly
Been here before Loyalty gets you 00000000 Every day another nail Dont leave it to late imho
Why no......"we know of no reason for the drop in SP" RNS? Are we set up for a low ball takeover?
I hate to disappoint you but you'd better hope Fortuna isn't dead in the water. No guarantee Shell will take our remaining stake and it will be at least 10 years before you see any gas if they go ahead with a land based plant.
I would expect the sp to rise once we have confirmation that Fortuna is dead in the water , they can then concentrate on Tanzania , Shell will soon be moving forward on that little gem.
if the deal is off and it is leaked then, we are set up to loose here, whatever happens it won't bring the money back that we loose
What the fark have they done with salamanders assets Joke
It's a disgrace if the deal is off and this has leaked out Management should be ashamed if this is the case
Me too Apa And yes think you are right about them We see by friday
At the moment I have no choice apart from waiting, in massive loss on this shares, but I have doubts on this company's honesty, worst case they will take all money and liquidate like carillion
30 - 40p At best No way back Seen it all before
Well its blatantly obvious that they don't care about shareholders, never did, useless bunch.
I would say this shares are going to be somewhere between 30-40p, if fortuna news is not released, something is fishy there, as they can see share is going down and no move from company, so either they are prepared for it or don't care about SH.
I would be the first to admit this is a dog of a share, having been stuck here with big losses for years.[averaging down made it worse!] However given the price of oil, the assets, and still some money in the bank this recent sell off seems over done .May find support at 52 week low of 53.20.Could be worth a punt or further average down from here.GLA
Flick the switch off
