sods law, i'm at work so couldn't listen, can anyone give a brief on the key points? thx
cbd, is the mechanism that modulates THC fully understood doc? and can you confirm that approx 10% of cbd is converted to THC in the gut?
good points, and tbh i think the fda will have a battle on to get their way, if cannabis is legal in some states how can they stop the sale of cbd anyway? there is no mention of CW / RoC on their list, and i imagine there would be an outcry supported by senators booker / gillibrand etc if they try to ban the sale of CW. what if CW works better than epidiolex for some? could scupper the FDA's agenda a bit..
thanks for the tip DRichi. At present only into Bio (MM) . Original post mentions suggestions re cannabis if I remember correctly !
Given that GWP and other regulators have been emphasising that CBD is non-psychoactive, it would be difficult for the UK authorities to turn around and say that it is psychoactive after all. And given that CBD is a naturally-occurring compound in all hemp food products, it would be hard to see how they could stop its production and use here in the UK. The police, customs and judiciary will have enough problems trying to police the ludicrously bad Psychoactive Substance Act (2016) as it is, without trying to add to their difficulties by trying to include an acknowledged non-psychoactive substance within that definition. Hemp products aren't banned in the UK in the same way they are in many US states. That might give GWP some protection in the US but not here and in much of the rest of the world.
Thank you
11:00am
Im busy drivin at mo so cant look it up ?
good stuff, will look into them, cheers. regarding that drop rumor...it was mentioned on cnbc a few days ago, bit weird tbh, and if true would prove market manipulation, will it happen? i have no idea, stay tuned...
You looking for suggestions of other shares to invest in? I don't know about Tilray or Aphria. Only other share I'm in is PPC, which is an Oil E&P Company. Trading between 7p-8p atm. Brokers quote it as having a core NAV of 20p which it should go back to by end of the year, and then has lots of drills in 2017 to turn it into a multi-bagger from there (if drills successful of course). Happy to chat about more on the PPC board if you wish.
Ok last from me. Tilray and then Aphria . . . .both canadian producers, been watching these two a while, what d'yer think ? anyone . . . .i'm sure someone else besides Bob has a suggestion or two . .c'mon don't be shy ! Ps. What's with this mkt drop at 2pm then ?
Onwards & upwards.... (hopefully).... GLA!
closed just shy of 500 on nasdaq, and the pound is dropping, which will help if we continue the push up.. so we broke through our 200dma resistance, next is nasdaq's 200DMA at 510p ish, looking good, hope they inspire positivity tomorrow!!
the FDA agenda... "the analyst states a high likelihood of FDA approval for Epidiolex, as the company is taking the necessary measures of “development through the proper legislative framework” which “supports the agency’s efforts to curtail unregulated medical marijuana use.” https://tipranks.whotrades.com/blog/43177786634?utm_source=maxsocial&frpp_id=clAaplFbLnkdPost&utm_term=clAaplFbLnkdPost&utm_content=post
hard to say...if they mention early fda approval then that would be like a rocket, and i reckon we could see 600 easy. if they dont, and they also fail to beat earnings estimates............who knows
Can we expect any news to get us back over a fiver ?
ta very much!
From the FT, "The LSE paused continuous trading of stocks for two minutes at noon and inserted a period in which investors could enter, modify and delete orders, but no automated execution took place. The auction period is being introduced in an attempt to attract more trading from institutional investors, which are reluctant to place the large blocks of shares they hold on a public stock market, because it could move prices against them."
I received an email from my Broker a few days ago saying that the LSE are going into auction at midday everyday for 2 minutes for certain stocks, so will be unable to Trade for that time. I deleted the email so can't really remember, but was only for certain types of Securities.
well, i'm bullish, but the bombs might scupper a push..we will soon see ;)
Not sure to be honest. The 5.72 doesn't read quite right. Re: 5.1, "Going above this resistance would positively bias short terms and even press upwards the mid-long term scenario." Broker does give Resistance Level 1 at 5.1 and Resistance Level 2 at 6.97. Still all the arrows on the MM, EMM, Bollinger 95, Indicators point upwards, so although not understanding all the finer details, do take that to be a good sign....
why?
does he mean 4.72 resistance, which is the 200 dma (4.73), then needs to break 5.10?
from my Broker; "The short term rebound goes above the resistance level at 5.72, it would be necessary to go above 5.1 to slightly improve. Technical Comment: Outperform"
it's not really a surprise, but it is a bit odd when you can buy yogurt containing sterols to help reduce cholesterol for example( many others of course), it is the claims they make that will land them in trouble. regulatory and governing bodies on the surface claim to protect the public, but they also have another purpose....to protect the industry, otherwise why pay the fees? all to be expected, i wonder if they will use the NPS bill to stop sales of CBD in the UK...that would be fun ;)
