Eric...Thanks for that very fair post. I too feel better now that I've done it, it's been a bit stressful and not chickenfeed after all. Sj's got a feeling next year's going to be our Year in the Sun so I'll blame him if it isn't, he's been pretty lazy as you say, time he started pulling his weight.
Evie eve. x
..
Hi Sooz. That is a very fair post, and I agree, I could have held back on the t word, that wasn't called for, but it's how I felt at the time and unfortunately I happened to be typing. I was frustrated and angry with him and I'm still not too happy about the deal, so I shall apologise for the use of the t word for sure, not my finest moment, but not for how I feel, as a result of the manner in which Kurt has raised this money, not the raising of the money itself.
You do make some good points. The fundraise is immediate strength when we may need it most, especially should the Swedish Government continue to play games. Vardar, I won't go into that overly. We have the hi-tech imaging equipment and it's a good start. Shouldn't waste too much time or funds on needle in a haystack drilling with those more acutely targeted hotspots from the imaging info.
I feel better now that I've pressed the Offer button. I wanted to do it, I had the courage, lol, so now let's see what occurs with all the cash that is raised.
People who gloat at the misfortune of others, now they are rubbish.
Afty eve. X
Thanks Al. Small acorns grow. Lol.
Best of luck Eric and All...it was a bit scary pressing the Go button but it's living alright.
Eric...We'll have to see and you might be right, I'm sure you hope your wrong...the thing about cash is that you need it when you need it and Vardar apart it strengthens out arm against the Swedish Government, if you get my meaning.
Sorry I cheesed you off but we need to be frank I think and you could have held back on the t word. We are in this together and we all want the same thing, or most do...there are one or two posters who want to see us fall flat on our faces so they can gloat.
Good luck to you Eric,
To be fair, he is a bit naughty, but he's an articulate barrel and I like that, nor is he responsible for the sp being where it is.
Well, I've taken up the Offer with ii just now to the tune of £1500, which is what I'd planned to do. I can't afford any more than that, and it wouldn't have made me too comfortable anyway, lol, but as Sooz mentioned the other day with regard to her own holding, I'll be keeping my percentage up a bit from where it otherwise would have been after the dilution, had I done nothing, so it should hopefully help going forward. Time will tell.
Good luck to one and all.
rune1 he doesn’t own a single share here ,together with my late wife’s shares I own just shy of three point five million shares here, I have taken all my allowance in shares and I would like to see a bit of positivity it’s not all bad, good luck ,
Thanks Rune1
Will he ever say anything new though, that's the problem!
Starts around 2:12 :) - It's nice to see Eric and Lars pushing him. Next one is on the 18th isn't it?
I found it here - https://www.svtplay.se/video/27268609/forum/forum-11-dec-08-00-1?start=auto
He didn't say anything new. He agreed that mining is important to sweden, but used the complexity of the case and the covid situation as excuses for no decision. He did seem a bit more nervous and frustrated than usual and can surely feel the pressure now which is good
Those are the facts. Sorry they don't match your narrative.
lbjj your such a barrel of sunshine ,
Lb, yes, but you should focus on the buy price of 3.16p for the Offer. Based on today's sp, as you have done, with a sell at 4p, buying even at 4.5p and not the full 4.7p quoted would equate to a buy sp after the dilution of 3.285p. Which is still above the Offer buy price.
You don't help! Lol.
Sooz, he didn't have to strike the Offer at such a discount, no matter how long it all took or when it was undertaken. "No" is always an option. Otherwise you are then allowing yourself to be placed over a barrel. Plus, he had already raised funds a few short months earlier.
Your comment cheesed me off really, I don't feel it is warranted or fair, when based on the evidence of the actual deal, and I won't be in the minority surely who believes Kurt could and should have done much better this time on our behalf. He has effectively raised a huge amount at a dire sp and is adding hundreds of millions of shares to the total.
But in your eyes it seems he can do nothing wrong, which I find rather unusual. There are many things that he could have done differently and better. Without hindsight.
Opinions opinions.
I wish you well. x
Today you will get 4p for a Beowulf share. When the offer shares are added next week, the 27% dilution takes the sell price down to 2.92p assuming the SP holds at today’s price - it may fall further.
The only people to benefit from this offer will be BEM directors and the Vardar operation. Still, what do I know?
Sooz, you can think that but he's giving too large a discount and he did have over a month when the sp was 6p. Even at a 5p sp the discount to 3.16p is way too heavy.
Now that is my opinion and I stand by it. It isn't harsh at all on Kurt, in my view, only in your view. The reality is that the percentage discount to raise so much money is excessive. Look at how many shares will now be added to the pot and this needn't have been the case. If existing shareholders can't take up the Offer then it's a massive dilution of their existing holdings.
Afty aft. x
It's still a very good discount on the current price and even if it falls the Company has now got the necessary finances for all the on we going. I'm glad I've taken mine anyway.
Thanks Suzy, hopefully Rune1 can translate and give us an overview of what was said.
If I could add to that...these offers can't be done in five minutes so I think Eric was a bit hard on Kurt the other day. Just saying.
Use the link I just posted, then in top left hand corner press WebTV...there is the live debate and you can use it again to get the recorded version, I hope.
Sorry...it's changed from this morning, you'll have missed it but it will be recorded later probably tomorrow.
