I only have around 180 shares which I've slowly built up over the last 3 years but this stock hasn't performed including dividends...the results at first glance look good but I've found this doesn't seem to translate into higher SP's and it's been the same with ABF..both however are on buyback programs so hope that ULVR doesn't defy logic and drop today
not bad at all....
lets see what the RNS brings....???
For once I don't have a problem with Unilever selling its products in Russia. It's not like they're manufacturing weapons grade plutonium. The Russian people don't want this war. I know several personally (and a couple of Belarussians), who are against the war, as are their families at home. Why deprive them?
At the end of the day, if Putin fancies a Magnum & there are none in his local shop he'll just send the tanks into Latvia to pick one up.
Still looking forward to further board changes in the coming months (Bye bye Graeme, don't be blue).
Selling products in Russia since it invaded Ukraine
So the new CEO is announced as Hein Schumacher & the SP jumps 1.25% in the day :) TBH - they could have appointed Mickey Mouse or Coco the Clown & the price would have been up - just anyone other than Jope = positive reaction.
Lets all hope that his first decision is to take the spineless oaf of a Finance Director out into the carpark & pelt him with rotten fruit. Eh Graeme ? Writing on the wall for you mate.
just tried out the Vegetarian Butcher burgers and what an amazing treat. They do the job just nicely. Also bought Dove shampoo and soap as they are kind to my face and hair
I paid £20k last friday at £40.75 not £41.75
very confident on my holdings which aim to be long term as the price of products rises, the profits and earnings will also rise. Most consumers probably would not switch from Dove soap as the quality of the cheaper competitors arent so good.
I criticised you for putting up prices over 10% in October. Latest example - they have imposed big price rises at the checkout, hiking the price of Hellmann’s mayonnaise by 42 per cent from £1.75 to £2.49
Now ffs

Tipped in the Telegraph Questor column today (for what it's worth).
Na, cannot agree with Humpty.
there is very strong brand loyalty amongst consumers
often branded products are better value than inferior watered down Supermarket savers versions and the savvy consumer knows that
also consumer does not make a connection between saving a few pence at the supermarket in order to afford big spend vacations
so, as the brokers are suggesting, Unilever is gonna keep climbing IMO
What are getting hit are the Poundland shops - I observe their footfall is down as stay at home single mums no longer able to buy treats from there
Really? You’d rather stick with Hellman’s than have a holiday or download a movie for the family? Interesting priorities, and not those that will be shared be many. People trading down in their droves. I’m a holder, but volumes are gonna go down, with price rises the only hope in the short term - but that is not good for longer term prospects and getting new long term consumers on board.
Just dropped into this board. Unfortunately I bought into these in 2019 when they were 4615p. I've had some nice dividends but sit at a loss if I was to sell. Thankfully my exposure is small. Looking at broker forecasts it could go higher leaving me in profit. I might even average down to bring me in profit sooner but as it sits in my dealing account rather than my ISA there isn't any real advantage to a large captial gain. Long term (>5 years) I expect capital growth but I think brand loyalty will be tested across all sectors. GLA. TT
Expecting consumers to stay loyal to their favourite supermarket brands while limiting spend on vacations and home entertainment. Looking forward to a surge in Dividend
more price rises from Unilever, expect lower volumes
£40 is nothing stellar. ULVR need to get volumes back on track, that's a mammoth task, as many shoppers are now wandering in Aldi's aisles.
Back to £40 after that update.
Shell PLC is shafting their costumers more
Hiking prices over 10% to shaft customers will bite you in the a***. Customers now boycotting your products.
Superb set of results in the current climate.
Volumes decline quarter after quarter. I wonder when we will see a volume growth again.
Good results overall though
it’s going to be ugly. . . look at supermarkets atm.. empty
Tomorrow
And so they should. The real question is why they need to virtue signal in the first place. It’s ice cream not wmds.
