Yes another licensing agreement yet again a stagnant sp. It is rather frustrating a company with no debt and supposedly increasing margins results in little or no reward as measured by the sp. Part of this is the way GMR disseminate news. Surely it is time for a step change.
Mobile-focused slot supplier Gaming Realms has inked a licensing agreement with Japanese video games and arcade firm Taito Corporation.
Under the terms of the alliance agreement, the duo will work together to create a Slingo Space Invaders title, with Gaming Realms utilising Taito’s IP of the 1978 titles, considered to be “one of the most influential video games of all time”.
Craig Falciglia, Director, Business Development of Gaming Realms, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Taito on this exciting new project, combining the timeless appeal of Space Invaders with the unique gameplay of Slingo to create an immersive and engaging gaming experience for all players.”
Gaming Realms’ will launch Slingo Space Invaders through its international operating partners, as well as across its social publishing business.
This latest agreement coincides with numerous other titles that harness the popularity of blockbuster IPs that have received a Slingo interpretation. These include Slingo Deadliest Catch, Slingo Shark Week and Slingo Deal Or No Deal.
Tsuyoshi Nishiwaki, Executive Officer of Taito Corporation, commented: “With Space Invaders celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, we are overjoyed that it still brings fresh experiences to new audiences and gaming formats.
“We feel that Slingo and Space Invaders will make a great partnership, and we are excited to see our iconic pixelated Invader characters manifest in this established platform.”
Agreed. Whilst all the numbers look good this share will languish at 30p until there is some clarification from the company and better comms generally as to what comes next.
I think we will find out next month. Don’t see dividends happening yet, or a takeover, but just a small company growing strongly. The shares will rise as soon as we get direction. Glah.
We don't really know what this is. We're in our third profitable year with a highly visible increasing revenue stream and no debt. The company is highly cash generative. All this is absolutely wonderful.
But we don't know what the 'Companies ongoing commercial objectives' are. Buy-backs, Divis, Takeovers? It would be good to get some clarification. I think the market is awaiting some sort of forward planning?
That would be nice, although who knows. What we do know is this is a company that is building good incremental revenues on marginal cost increases relative to the year on year increasing revenues. Making great inroads into North America, I think it is only a matter of time before the market takes notice. I feel GMR is building very solid foundations.
Think this is about to take off... tomorrow or Friday.
Nice 5k buy
I got one right for a change, debt free is great. I believe this share has a long way to go. Glah
58 new partnerships, debt free, rev and EBITDA ahead of expectations, cost base low. I just can’t see how GMR does not get taken out in the near future. Personally, would love to see it keep going for another two years but I feel a takeover it inevitable.
Should be a good 2023, plenty of room to grow its North American business but i would like to see them making inroads into the South American market slingo would do well there.
Debt free & on the up.
Cheers
Agreed, impressed with the trading update! Can anyone see any down side at this point?
Indeed
What a great rns
Very strong little company formed over the years
I’m expecting an update tomorrow as last year it was Wednesday 26th of January. This year it should be Wednesday 1st of February. So I’ll be on the lookout at 7am tomorrow. Glah
The most recent analyst note has them at £20.8m and £8m ebitda. Assuming the are capitalising costs to the same level in H2 that would imply £3.4m ish off the ebitda for net profit putting them at £4.6m

Hi Taser, yes Interims 8.5 Revenue. Double that to 17 and add a bit and not far off 20? Interims profit 1.3 double that to 2.6 and again add a higher profit level on extra revenue as costs mainly already covered. OK say 4 to 5 Profit?
I'm dreaming on!
From memory wasn’t the revenues from the interims Revenue circa 8m, PBT 1.4.
The prior year didn’t see an uplift in H2 so there doesn’t seem to be anything highlighting a bias to H2 figures unless I am missing something. All I can say is I wish.
Update got to be this week surely! If Revenue is £20m and profit say £5m then I wonder what they'll do with the money. I don't know but I don't think we've got much debt now? Lottery tickets, Dividend, Directors bonuses - the list goes on!
Ontario numbers are very impressive. Looking forward to trading update, hopefully coming ahead of expectations. I thought it might be today.
91 percent rise!

Yeah agreed. It's a strange one to RNS in my opinion. It's interesting as it shows they are making good partnerships with recognizable brands but games are always going to take a long time to develop and developers will have to be moved from other projects or have it added to a backlog.
New Tetris collaboration is great, but such a large disconnect between announcement and product reaching market hard to get too excited. Money Train was announced in April 2022, 9 months later nothing launched.

Tetris is Q4 2023, 9+ months away. Seems long lead time, interested how this compares to others in sector.
