very subdued, but looking more towards the downside, huge cash burn, pathetic sativex sales, everything hangs on the success of epidiolex
ftse looks to be trying to break 6100, def in bearish mode, could scupper a pop a bit, and would def make a drop worse...but we will have to wait until after 2:00 to really see which way its gonna go. GL!
Ha ha snap freddie !
my guess is 1:00pm
G'day King, any idea what time results maybe released ? Will they wait for the yanks I wonder ?
What time are they out ?
drop or pop, pop and drop, or drop and pop! its gonna be one of those, place your bets ;)
Yep interesting development. I see its use being strictly controlled by pharmacies and prescriptions as a good thing too.
wowzer! even less sales of sativex there now. so if we stay in the EU, does it set any sort of precedent that would help the UK fight for MM?

:) yep nerves of steel, or too stoned to care ;)
Thanks was wondering if the results are already priced in , sounds like it could go either way , nerves of steel needed lol
we caught up today, they went up yesterday while we were closed, now they are back to our PP, I think the markets are (amongst other things) starting to price in a brexit vote for us leaving the EU due to polls saying we will, add to that the fact it almost always drops prior to earnings as it is doing at the mo.. the £/$ exchange rate is all over the place at the mo, it could of pushed us solidly into the 440's, but the volatile rates kept us out...just. $80 is looking like resistance now, could of course change in a beat, but my guess is lower tomorrow / thursday A.M, then it all hangs on earnings or other news if there is any on thursday P.M. ultimately the data should send us way higher again when it is released, unless I'm totally wrong and success has already been priced in, just cant see it though.
Does it not usually catch up pretty quickly there cannot always be a days lag , dow will recover later hopefully , then we will be square lol
depends which side of the pond you are looking at, we haven't moved much since friday cos we were closed monday, but nasdaq is 4% down and just tracking the bio index. FTSE could break down again tomorrow and head for 6100, just in time for us to drop lower before earnings ;)
Today looking at the carnage of the dow and nasdaq !
Yes indeed a good marketeer, getting noticed anyway . . . ;)
Well I've been involved in both organics and conventional growing. I would say that certainly in the UK and Europe conventional growers are being forced to grow almost without pesticides anyway, as the availability of pesticides gets slowly reduced. Of course in organics you can still use pesticides as long as they are organically produced, and some of these are really nasty. True organic growers don't believe in growing out of the soil and from what I have seen a lot of the US growing models are based on growing in bags etc. Also true organic growers don't believe in hydroponics either. Anything grown out of the soil and in an enclosed system will, to a degree, be hydroponic. So CEO Arsenault is using 'organic' to help differentiate his product as a good marketing tool but I would question if his company is truly organic. Ultimately it will be about proving that a cannabis crop is free of pesticide residues, just like you have to do with food crops. You can do this very effectively without being organic. It's just harder to market!!
Yeah I like CEO Arsenault, certainly has realized the potential. He may be a winner moving forward imo . . .The organic slant very much appeals, as you mentioned before it is a foodstuff too. . .
The US cannabis industry obliviously is very nervous about GW. Its a threat to them. If GW is a success then the FDA may well not want to legalise cannabis. GW are offering a product that the US cannabis industry does not / cannot provide i.e a FDA approved pharmaceutical drug. I'm sure some parents will want to use Charlotte's Web - it will be cheaper and seen to be more 'wholesome' as it doesn't come from big pharma. But it isn't a pharmaceutical drug - its doesn't ;t have the same regulations to follow and isn't as tightly controlled. I think GW will quickly move into clinical trials of medical issues that Drs will not want to use unregulated and uncontrolled cannabis products for. I think there is a room for both GW and medicinal 'herbal cannabis'. But lets face it, the US cannabis industry isn't really interested in medicinal cannabis. Its helped them get legalisation but the ultimate goal appears to be recreational cannabis. The profits these guys are making is eye watering. It doesn't cost a lot to grow cannabis and the prices they are charging are just insane. The ironic things is the cannabis industry hates GW because its 'big pharma' but the US cannabis industry is making 'big pharma' profits and some. And when you listen to guys like Denis Arsenault, CEO of OrganiGram he wants to be big business. He very much see's the potential. The other thing is if the FDA does ever allow cannabis to be moved across States a lot of these high end facilities will go bust as production moves to warmer climates such as Florida where you could grow all year round with considerably less inputs. So I find the whole US cannabis industry fascinating. There are going to be some big winners and some big losers in the US.

Here it's 01.2 mbps ! Only . . . . BT/Plusnet monopoly . No other providers available ! ****ed !
"I do not know any in this population who are getting success that will switch (to Epidiolex), even if it is paid for," Jackson said. "I would not switch if you paid me, (either). Not in a million years." there is a huge discrepancy between what parents of patients want, and what many investors want and seem to believe, there are no joe's dirt shops supplying epilepsy patients, that is a total fallacy, the entourage effect is a known mechanism, and many children are benefiting from it, the fact that GW scored a hit (just) with dravet results does not address that problem with epidiolex. (single molecule drug)
150 mbps ;) virgin media with regard to the post you posted...yep we have been through all that before here, and they are entitled to their belief..
