3card....Let the Boss do his job PLEASE!
Being a bit of an old dinosaur I don't do Facebook or Twitter. But I wondered if any of you do, is it worth someone dropping a tweet to greta thunberg setting out the green credentials of our proposal against dirty technology and dirty imports to gauge her opinion as to whether or not she would be in favour of kallak.
I suspect her instinct would say no but weighed up against the alternatives, perhaps she could be swayed. Just imagine what an impact that would have for our cause.
Toppy, you are right about the frustration, but we've become accustomed to it, so I guess it doesn't seem as bad, even though we continue to be treated disgustingly by the Swedish Government. Something with Kal must happen now that the application has been moved along though, and the Government officially outed by the KU as being inept in dealing with our case.
Only my thoughts.
Sooz, daft talk, hmmm, whatever gets us through this wait is good I reckon.
:-)
Eric those are the kindest words youve said to me lol
BEM has been my biggest frustration anyone with a lot of eggs in this basket must be very frustrated.
I'd better stick to nighty night in future...the suit doesn't like daft talk. It's no wonder we're daft though is it. Lol.
TPS, I don't think anyone was mocking crypto, more that you were slating BEM as being a joke, and we picked up on that. Our situation of this continual waiting is farcical, but the Company itself isn't a joke.
Great if you've made some money. Well done. The other stuff you mention is just talk between friends. No need to stir up ill feeling because things happen to have worked out for you.
Have a good day.
Crypto is brilliant when you are in profit TSP but when central banks express concern and may even wish to destabilise it there is a serious risk of a bubble bursting and your exit roads blocked. Enjoy it while you can but take great care, atb.
Suzy & Eric I said few days ago crypto and some here mocked that.
Afty aft and all that blurb kind of sounds dafty daft now!
I said yesterday better to buy crypto lol
ARB made more in one day than I've lost in BEM this last year
Crazy
A joke even!
KB will always be able to raise funds, but it becomes a death spiral for existing shareholders (There are always finance options). It’s do or die this year in my opinion. Yes, the other projects have value, and yes, the institutional investors no doubt see the value in those projects too, and no doubt the value of those projects has yet to be realised in the SP. But for me it’s Kallak or bust, likewise for most other private investors. After a UNESCO, it’s difficult to see Where the Swedish Government can take this without making a decision (Ive no doubt there will be further twists). If it’s not decisive, I see no other option than the legal route. I’ve made more money on a crypto miner than an actual miner ffs!
Pocko, yes, we need an outcome on the concession this year, in my view, or it's doubtful Kurt will be able to raise funds again on such a scale without the price set being more abysmal than the 3.16p. We have to trust that he will not completely turn his focus on to the other projects, that Kallak remains the primary concern. How long he gives the Government before he takes steps to protect our investment only he knows. We could do with knowing how long UNESCO is likely to take. All up in the air again, but we do at least know that our application has been moved along, thanks largely to the KU. I feel we need to be patient for a couple of months more. Eighth candle time, then we should really be given some answers. Kurt does have to manage our expectations.
Only a few thoughts.
Probably not treetop... The Swedish national debt is minuscule compared to other western economies. It has a small trade surplus, and a balanced economy, with a AAA credit rating, unlike the UK (AA) for example. It’s also known as ‘living with ones means’. It’s under no pressure to do anything, evidenced by the last 8-years...
Its getting desperate for the company... Yes, we have cash banked, but it’s been earmarked for various projects. When the cash starts to burn, and if the exploitation doesn’t materialise, will further fundraising wash with investors? That scenario is 12-months away, but if the outlook doesn’t change, it will happen. The financial damage to the company and its shareholders is incalculable. We were projected to start mining by 2020.
An interesting approach,if other regions follow this approach the swedish central treasury will have to find projects that yield tax revenues !
Jokkmokk's social committee gives up - does not want to save ten million kronor
PUBLISHED TODAY 17:39
Jokkmokk's social committee has made a very unusual decision: Not to present savings in the budget of ten million kronor.
- It is very difficult to cope with it. Now a collective approach is required, says vice chairman Susanne Almqvist (V).
Jokkmokk municipality continues to shrink and according to Statistics Sweden, the municipality will lose another 4,500 inhabitants by 2030. Therefore, large savings are expected in the committees' budgets.
"The municipal board can save" The
Social Welfare Board must save ten million kronor and that means structural changes, ie that operations are closed down.
- We have made the decision to transfer the business priorities in the budget to the municipal board because we believe that it is very difficult to come to a conclusion on how we should save ten million kronor on our operations. Now a united approach is required in the municipality, says the committee's vice chairman Susanne Almqvist (V).
"Large centralisations"
Municipal councilor Robert Bernhardsson (S) is surprised by the committee's decision and he believes that the committee has abdicated if it does not take its responsibility for the economy.
- I've never seen anything like it. You have to work more constructively than that in a committee. I know that they have been working for several months with savings of between seven and ten million kronor, but those proposals have not been considered, he says.
He believes that there will be a time of large annual savings if no more jobs are established in the municipality, such as after a mine opening in Kallak.
- It means big grips. We probably need to centralize a lot of operations to reduce costs, says Bernhardsson.
He believes, among other things, that there may be fewer units in both elderly care and school.
A couple of largish sells this morning...such impatience, but still a good profit on the placing price.
Now what are we going to give up for Lent? Bickering for one..I'm going to try my best to be 'nice' for a change. This wait is stressful I know, never mind, we're in good company, some sterling people on here. and we've got the muscles for it. We can have a few laughs, while we wait.
Yes. I think a longer aft is important for feeling uppy. Lol.
I have been as up and down in spirits with this as anyone else who happens to have been invested here for a decade or more, and I don't mind negative comments at all. I've served up plenty of my own, but It's how they are put across that matters TSP. The gravity of the wording. To say that Kurt has been negligent is wholly inaccurate and misleading, in my opinion, and yes, I took exception to that. There is always room for improvement from a CEO, but in our case, Kurt has been the polar opposite of negligent. I've been through this before, but as the time does tick, he is being careful, while the Swedish Government digs itself a large hole. After all, he is acting on our behalf with the aim of doing business in Sweden. He has and continues to do everything to ensure that this happens, and our position in Sweden does not become untenable, which would be the case with persistently aggressive responses to Minister Baylan's inert display and those before him. We do not want to scupper the opportunity of being involved in the development of a world class project.
That's why, for example, our shareholders should be steering clear of posting unsavoury comments on Baylan's Twitter account.
These are my opinions TSP. I feel you've been quite irresponsible with some of your comments at times. Long-term holders here are investors in the Company and especially its Kallak project, belt and braces, and we must surely look at the finer elements in play if we can, and act accordingly.
Have a good evening.
Take a look in the mirror Amayakat and repeat - respect is earned
It wasn't misleading TSP...everyone except you knew exactly what he meant.
Suzy I know what ive said thought and done for years fact is id love to know what you think ive missed. My concern is this has clearly developed into a charade. KB has clearly shown his true colours to me on more than one occasion recently when I politely asked him to clarify that wording which WAS misleading.
He has a duty to inform investors what things are going on.
TSP Your funniest post was ...you're spoiling this for me. Remember it? ;-)
