Think we have to now wait until the 11th for more interesting info.
Thinking of increasing my holding in Premier as I am confident that the company will continue to do well for quite some time moving forward. Just shying away from pulling the trigger fearing a surprise pullback in price .
Give me strength.........
Going to be announced ? Better get some Kiplings and noodles panic bought
Think its waiting for the 11th and 19th. Profits are getting better by the day though, so can only be good news. Someone we will see what we see soon. Is it because of where we were this time last year, rather than this years potential ?
It does what I expect......been here so long, I am used to it’s perverse behaviour
Today says it all with pfd, plenty of good news coming out about more foods sales etc etc, today ft up about 150 points and you guessed it pfd is down again.
PFD never does what you expect.
Aldi to buy £3.5bn more food from British farms and suppliers
Budget supermarket Aldi has announced plans to increase the amount of food and drink it buys from British suppliers by £3.5bn a year within the next five years.
Extract from the press today
SUPERMARKETS have toasted a record-breaking festive season, fuelled by tightened pandemic restrictions that shuttered “non-essential” shops, as well as pubs and restaurants.
Shoppers spent £12bn on food and drink in December, the biggest month of grocery sales ever, according to estimates from Kantar, which measures how supermarket chains perform every month.
Spreading closures of pubs and restaurants kept the tills ringing as celebrations were confined to homes.
PFD stands out in the Defensive food area. Make no mistake this is a National Lockdown as highest Tier areas for most. Yet CoVid-19 vaccines are not 100% effective or proven over a longer time period. Stay at home safety theme embedded in our minds for 2021. Home cooking, sweet treats & home baking themes set to grow even more. Big positives for PFD, higher profits & food defensive high quality in demand brands. So 2021 should be catch up further on PE valuations & much much higher share price coming. Happy New Year 2021 !
Bought more today, just had to after more tier 4s
Agree with you on opening and strengthening new access routes to EU, reducing our dependence on French ports. Harwich and Portsmouth/Southampton, Hull too.
Just goes to show we must be making many more products here in the UK and exporting them, we have just seen how France can act and will act if they don't get their own way in years to come.Let's also open up more ports and bridges to northern France / Belgium.
Jed, I'm sure you've been in PFD long enough to see that once again today we're being mugged by the chosen ones.
I know that would happen it's down to 103 again, should have sold at 106 today. sod's law again.
Come on sp it's about time we hit £1.15, we all know that pfd goes up on day and down again the next so will a number of investors sell at £1.06 and try to buy back in at 98p. but then again sod's law says it will not now fall to 98p buy carry on to £1.15-£1.20.Who knows what to do?
Slow start but moving in the right direction now,. 200 who knows With pfd anything can happen but ecstatic with my 2020 profit on pfd but still earning on my modest holding now.
Thought the recent agreement would have helped today's open??
Yes Lucky been holding since 2011 this has been a very good year regarding
SP hoping next year will be even better. My target price 2pounds i believe is
achievable with this BOD. GLA.
if a long term PFD investor you should already have had a prosperous year but I wish all old & new PFD holders a very prosperous 2021. Mind you with all the ducks in a row for next year I think it would be very hard not to make money on the stock market .
Not guaranteed when you get to my age.....please can we make it next year just in case ?
Happy and prosperous new year to everyone on here.
To everyone and a very prosperous PFD new year. 3cardbrag you’re spot on
well if not next year there’s always the year after.
Wishing a happy Christmas and prosperous new year to all holders. This time next year we'll all be millionaires.
Rich62: I agree that 120p is within reach and 120p-130p near term is reasonable given the PFD turnaround story. On a PFD/Sector re-rating and the potential of a Takeover Bid will see shares shoot higher still IMO. Lots to like here. Maybe announcement of the re-start to Dividends & timetable for this will fire up the shares as will a strategic fit acquisition. Merry Xmas to All.
Looks like we are pushing back over 100p - good to see.
Holding here expecting 120p on 19th Jan when Q3 results are out.
A combination of lockdown + Xmas shopping should see continued strong sales growth IMO.
Finally feels that PFD have turned corner - hoping that strong results will see more debt repaid and share re-rated,
Good luck all holders and have a very merry Christmas!
Rich
Yes we need to grow by buying more good products but we need products to fill the summer months that's where we are falling short, and I guess the bod's must know that.
