Careful starvest after this morning's rise you are in danger of losing your well earned reputation of being sluggish.
Has my comment set the share price off. Up 2p.lol
Which GGP insider is likely to know Greatland better than Callum Baxter - who happens to run Starvest? He's the Chief Technical Officer of Greatland. There's a reason he hasn't sold much of his position, wouldn't you think? He will know the true value of GGP and when he wants to close the 50% NAV gap he will do so, most likely at significantly higher levels than here. All investors have to do is ride on his coat tails.
I’ve been topping up this morning. A very exciting opportunity here imo if , as I do, you think GGP has a lot more legs left .
Would anyone like to buy 82 million shares in Ggp at 50% discount? We must be ripe for takeover.
SVE now at 41p NAV per share v a 20p share price... as I keep saying, GGP only come out with good news and plenty more to come. DYOR
Looking forward to a GGP RNS on Monday morning after this:

If (when?) GGP rises, there might be the chance to buy here before it catches up.
It's more than a guesstimate, it's bang on 37p per share NAV. Nearly all (90%) of the portfolio is in a very liquid stock (GGP). As I keep saying, you are getting a liquid asset in GGP, that's just breaking out to the upside after a consolidation, that only comes out with good RNS time after time (and several more to come in near term) ---- at half price if you buy SVE instead of GGP. If you own it you just tuck it away and when the liquidity event comes (sale of GGP from portfolio) you will see this arbitrage close very rapidly.
Value of the top 5 holdings:
GGP @ 24.25p = £19.88m (this alone is 34.5p/share)
AAU @ 5.0p = £875k
ORCP @ 0.55p = £120k
ALBA @ 0.4p = £106k
CORA @ 7.0p = £86k
my Guesstimate of total portfolio value is £21.3m or 37.0p/share
How do you mean? Discount narrowing slightly to around 45%. Still way too high. Fair value is nearer 30p. AIMO.
apart from the SP. GLA
Good advice Shaf l have payed as little as 3.3% spread if cash is returned great but l will be very happy to receive divi payments as it’s possible 3 invested companies will hopefully paying in 2/3 years And as ln perching 1 SVE share we receive the value for 1and a half GGB shares so thinking looking to the future it’s possibly a great dive paying stock .and the now large SVE Discount will then soon disappear so possible win win.
Patience required with this one. Topping up when spread narrows or when bigger sells go through. Confident this will come good and return cash to shareholders.
Many thanks JiMiH that’s very helpful. Undoubtedly the spread is off-putting but unfortunately not unusual for Companies of this size. Even with the spread it’s still a massive discount.
Unfortunately so did the spread.
They state on their website they would distribute up to half of the realised profits.
It looks like the discount to NAV is widening here with the GGP price moving up recently and SVE down. I’ve been topping up both. I hold about 30p’s worth SVE for every £1 of GGP I hold based on current values and I do think eventually we are going to see a significant narrowing of the discount here. SVE has been a great investment for me so far and I’m seeing it as a long term hold. It will be interesting to see what the board do when they do start to unwind out of GGP eventually , whether there will be a monster dividend , some new purchases or a bit of both. Short term widening of the discount just makes it more attractive to me for further top ups.
NAV/share of the SVE portfolio is approx 35p/share with AAU ay 5.1p to sell and GGP 22.75p. Still able to get a 45%+ discount on buys.
I have a few plans in action over the coming days but yes i shall be getting some of this and spreading the word as soon as financially able and done some research.
Thank you so much.
Its funny how things land in your lap once in a while
82m mate, double their mcap and the ceo is GGP geologist. Long term play this as if anyone knows when to sell their GGP shares for maximum value is callum baxterour geologist, and this is his vehicle! well done for finding it At 50% under valued we need to go up 100% just to match our NAV, then any increase in GGP above that. 3 years and this share will be tripple where it is. Mark my words
Take a look at company info on ggp website. Showing still as 82m share. Current bid of 24p in ggp alone gives value of nearly 19.7m
Does SVE own part of GGP ?
What sort of percentage do they have ?
I only found this share today
If they had sold the sp would now be well north of 30p, so I reckon not.
Do we know if sve is still holding ggp or sold when price went to 27ish a few weeks ago?
Latest drilling results at Havieron just got better. I think Ggp should fly tomorrow and hopefully take Sve with it.
They seem rather excited over at the GGP thread tonight. Is our discount going to get bigger?
