....and it shows that IGAS has repaid another £2m of debt in the last 5 months (£8.1m as at 29 July 2022, £6.1m as at 31 Dec 2022).....impressive
It certainly is a positive…… shows strong faith in the Company’s prospects so perhaps the share price can move back up to where it should be….
I look at this debt facility increase from 6.1 to 14 million as a real positive as it’s based on assets etc unless I have it completely wrong
Builder12: Wrt a total ban, yes it's on new builds at the moment,
but this authoritarian "consocialist" government has a history of moving the goalposts,
so don't be too surprised if they decide to worsen the situation,
by extending the ban to new installs in old properties,
and even to old boilers in old properties.

PV=nRT can involved with this, with gaseous refrigerants like CO2.
Otherwise, Van de Waals forces and molecule size must be accounted for, and a different equation is used.
https://entalpiaeurope.eu/en/what-refrigerants-are-used-in-heat-pumps/
"Refrigerants in heat pumps
While there are currently heat pumps operating with various working media in the market, several of these may be considered the most popular. Those commonly used in household solutions surely include hydrofluorocarbons, also referred to as fluorinated greenhouse gases. These include:
R410A – a near azeotropic blend of R32 (50%) and R125 (50%);
R134a – so-called tetrafluoroethane;
R407C – a noncombustible, zeotropic blend of R32 (23%), R125 (25%) and R134A. Apart from the above, the following agents are becoming ever more popular:
R32 – i.e. difluoromethane, popular, among others, in air-conditioners;
R1234ze – trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene, featuring a low GWP value;
There are also natural agents, which are attracting more and more interest. R290, that is propane, as well as R744, that is carbon dioxide (CO2), are among those worth mentioning."

- This might be VERY useful for the Igas and GTEnergy partnership !!
To me "STAY IN CASH" means "HOLD" and wait for news, which is what I'm saying.

Miles5 can leavethis forum or carry on wasting precious comment space with no useful info whatsoever.
I am recommending a hold right now rather than buy, b/c investors should wait for some real news about the company before making any rash decisions.
Positive news from Bayotech is available for those who want some more info aboiut partner companies, for instance. Also, government officials have had meetings with key members of Igas about geothermal district heating systems, and it's installment at UK hospitals and large UK govt buildings.
Tbh, in the past I have heavily talked down this stock so that I could buy in, but I and others made some recommendations to Igas and they are turning their company around, with liabilities becoming assets, which will upturn the balance sheet for those looking at fundamentals. Also, new customers are signing contacts with Igas.
Short term traders can go talk it down and short it all they want, but it doesn't change what assets will be on the balance sheet. At some point, they'll get squeezed and pay a heavy price.
True, I meant "condense" not "compress". Although, there are compressors on heat pumps b/c they are just glorified refrigerators in reverse. The compressor is for the refrigerant. This heating option isn't good for most UK homes. Running costs will be too high b/c insultation is not perfect and homes need to be breathable.
And we've all learned by now that pasajerodeltoro hypes this stock with so much irrelevant detail whilst rushing people with imminent promises of 25-30p lmao... Strong close today, 18p coming.
P.S. Air source heat pumps don't compress outside air.
It's not a total ban on new gas/oil fired boilers after 2025; the ban is only for newly built properties.
Only issue is that the hydogen boiler industry are trying to push them into people's homes.
I disagree with this because of the increased chance of exploding houses, but I do advocate for fuel cells installed OUTSIDE HOMES that would provide independent power to run ELECTRIC HEATING SYSTEMS.

LinkedIn article from Bayotech https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7024161734701580288
"The Biden-Harris Administration has announced its intent to issue $750m to accelerate clean hydrogen technologies. Through the US Department of Energy (DOE), the funding from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will reduce the cost and accelerate the widespread use of clean hydrogen."
ps. I made a claim about asthma triggers FROM EXPERIENCE.
What REALLY trigger asthma? DUST DUST DUST (& MOULD) !!!
Of course, these are really issues with ALL water-based convecting heating systems..
Better off with RADIATIVE HEATING SYSTEMS!
This can still be done with water-based plumbing, or you could even directly heat some air and circulate that through an isolated pipe that just gives off the radiative heat to the surroundings.
The cheapest install option is to use ELECTRIC RADIATIVE HEATING, but bills will be higher, hence the need for a domestic electric power generator of some type.
Well, I guess that all bases are covered. With the new gas boiler ban coming up in 2025, people won't have many viable options to heat their homes. Solar is one, but only if you live quite far down south. My guess is that air heat pumps that just compress outside cold air will soon be exposed as a giant fraudulent scheme supported by tory MPs with investments in the UK's national grid and so on. However, some heat pump systems are more viable like the systems in Norway that use waste heat from INSIDE LARGE STRUCTURES (200+ people), recycle via heat-exchangers , but STILL occasionally use backup GAS-heating systems.
Heating oil will obviously be banned and so will wood burners b/c of particles that are supposed to trigger asthma, etc - but don't actually do that in reality. So, after eliminating all of the current & main tory suggested options, that only leaves geothermal and hydrogen.
I suggest that geothermal be used on a district/community level & hydrogen for individual homes that are away from sharable heat sources, but to supply fuel cells that power electrical heating systems instead of a water-based systems run on heat.
The new Department of Energy is, according to the Telegraph, charged with
“securing more home grown energy that is clean and affordable. Sunak said this was “mission-critical” for his government, charging Shapps with “securing more home grown energy that is clean and affordable, as fast as possible”.
Can’t be bad for Igas.
How many accounts is that up to now? 10? 20? Keep going lol
This aged well. 18p coming.
Sure thing boys, I wasn't the one screaming that things will move fast in the next couple of weeks trololol... then revise to sell at 25 lmao or others getting way over themselves shouting 28!!! Then 30!!!
18p here we come.
Plonker
For all the hype, this stock continues to disappoint. With oil prices falling, the worst is really yet to come.
They talked of "The Blob in the Pacific" in the years leading up to the Tonga (super) eruption.
https://www.science.org/content/article/ocean-heat-waves-pacific-s-deadly-blob-could-become-new-normal
https://wiki2.org/en/The_Blob_(Pacific_Ocean)
Another type of blob. I wonder if they are related somehow?
https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/environment/a39431488/mysterious-blobs-in-earths-mantle/
"Two massive blob-like structures deep in Earth’s mantle are revealing a bigger picture about geological phenomena like volcanoes and plate tectonics. One blob lies deep beneath the African continent, and the other is on the opposite side of the planet, beneath the Pacific Ocean."
Strange that "P-a-k-i" got censored in "****stan".
Is it now ****** to refer to the name of this country?
UK snow: Exact dates polar vortex could strike which threatens major snowfall and ice - Mirror Online https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/uk-snow-exact-dates-polar-29095724
- I can't find the link to do with fossil fuel-loving ICE vehicles but there is a recommendation being put out there to fully top up to put less strain on fuel filtration systems and because in the cold weather expected soon E10 petrol and will freeze in the tank (diesel will also, but for different reasons). E10 petrol also corrodes plastic/rubber components and creates moisture that corrodes metal via rusting reactions.
So, if people take their advice, the demand for oil will increase during the cold period
we are about to experience, which maybe why brent oil is still in the 70s/80s.
The expectation over the next few years is more of the same.
I've seen it suggested that 2022 heat waves around the world
were caused by suddenglobal warm due to th eruption of the Tonga volcano in the Pacific,
which released millions of tonnes of steam into the (normally dry) stratosphere.
India and ****stanwere first to experience the resulting heat waves,
then Europe, UK, Midwestern United States and Southeastern United States , and China ,
as you'd expect for a cloud of water vapour gradually falling to ground level.
Looks like China was last because it was closest to the eruption,
so the cloud was dispersed and out of range to have any effect over a number of passes,
until mid-June when the cloud was entering the troposphere.
So, seems that none of those 2022 heat waves were really man-made,
but they were made by nature, due to one very powerful volcano.
Unless another volcano like that goes off and creates another heatwave,
I expect 2023 & 2024 to get colder and colder due to Earth-orbit-induced Milankovitch cycles.
