I don't mind a debate or an opinion from other posters, but these apparently have a lot of experience in the plant hire trade. The stupid comments that they come out with makes me think that they are either thick or have an axe to grind!!! Regardless of what any of you say, speedy are moving in the rite direction. They have made a few mistakes overseas, but are well placed for the future and this years figures will prove this!!!
I rarely agree with you Noley but on this occasion I do...they would need to sell a lot of tool hire eqpt to raise 5/6 million these figures are nonsense and if the 30 or 40 containers of kit in the Middle East are going to raise the other 14m they haven't got plant in them that's for sure.
Nice start to the day hope we can keep it up{:-))
5 or 6 million raised through sale of old equipment at that sale is stupid talk. Or do you agree with him? With all your experience in the plant hire game
Good morning all{:-))
FFS Noelypoley change the record - everyone who doesn't agree with you aren't always a 'bitter' ex employee With you being a paving contractor maybe..... just maybe, some of these posters are commenting from better experience than your good self and are involved in the hire industry directly
Think he is just bitter or a bit thick. 5 or 6 million pounds from that auction of surplus/ end of life equipment. Wow, that must be some serious amount of equipment. I am on the mailing list for that auction and it mainly comprises of saws, wackers, breakers etc etc. Bp is just an eejit.
I did used to work there and this is standard practise not a panic in any way. Bit of a bizarre comment.
agree with noely speedy do this every year get rid of the crap thats made their money and buy new
Good morning all{:-))
5 or 6 million in the next sale, now I know your talking rubbish. They just getting rid of surplus equipment and staff!!! Have you been on that list? Sound very bitter. Bit more work to be done at speedy and they will be well placed for the future.
20million this year that's raised through end of year fire sales. The one in the link should Raise in the region of 5-6 million and the rest will be made through the sale of the 35-40 containers currently being prepared in the Middle East .... How much longer can the business continue operating the way it does??? #onborrowedtime
They have these sales through out the year, not just towards the end of the year and have done for years? There figures have been improving for the last 5 years, coming from a 70 million pound loss to hopefully a 20 million pound profit this year. So they are moving in the rite direction. They might have made a few mistakes overseas a long the way, but they are improving all the time regardless of what you say.
Unless you've worked for them you wouldn't understand!! every year it's the same old tosh , no capex from November onwards and constantly being forced into making high value & utilised products for auction with the instruction from Directors of the business that funds need to be raised quick/before year end..... Is cooking the books a word for the City??!!
Why is it a fire sale rather than just selling surplus or end of line equipment? They have loads of these sales through out the year?
And so the fire sale begins.........http://www.tsauction.co.uk/auctions/plant-equipment/
Could be a nice finish to the day{:-))
Good morning all speedy investers {:-))
Good morning all speedy investers {:-))
Hi guys I'm in a similar position. Just sold out of QPP after a good run and nice profit but gone bearish on them now. Really like the look of Speedy but not sure how much upside. Do you think they may reach £1 ?
New investor here. Just bought couple of grand. Would have bought more but unfortunately most of my money is lost (paper loss atm) in QPP.
Will we be testing 80p this week{:-))
