3card, lol. Bozzer, no, he's in a class all on his own.
And from what I remember reading, the Sami arent tax payers so they don't vote in Sweden..........Is that correct Suzy, Xeno ?
Evening.. “Many, many more months of waiting for perhaps nothing more to happen.” Perhaps, but that wouldn’t be in the Government’s interest.. Assuming Lofven, the EU, globalist stooge will be ‘appointed’ by the same ilk, he’ll need a minister with innovation to get them out of the mining mess made by Baylan.. The Baylan/UNESCO’s ambiguous nonsense has made the chances of any decision being challenged from somewhere, more likely if the minister doesn’t now kick axse where it is needed imo.. After 8+ years, then any legal challenge made, in the run – up to the election would be nuts.. Whoever becomes minister needs to deliver the Kallak decision pronto, as stated.. This is now well out of shape, any worse, and its more political cost – now unaffordable in the coming months when ‘the people’ consider where to cast their vote.. Lofven, needs a minister who at least knows which way the camera is pointing! lolol ………… Imo only atb…………….
Sounds like Baylan is right up there with Bozzer in your estimation Eric. lol
3CB
He's more like a waxwork that has seen better days, on the list of those to be melted down.
Baylan is like Schroedinger's cat and his excuses are both alive/dead & there/not there at the same time. Put nothing past him ??
Optimistically, perhaps if the same lot gets in again then that could actually be good, because they've already exhausted all avenues for delaying a decision on our application.
Optimistically.
When the PM (candidate) Stefan Lofven announces his new Government on Friday...the decision will be 'forthcoming.' ;-)
Ha ha ha. Well, one thing for sure, whatever happens, nothing will happen for BEM. Many, many more months of waiting for perhaps nothing more to happen.

"The country needs a Government with the ability to act" Stefan Lofven
Lets just hope the vote fails and we get to an election sooner.
nick I'm in my eighties and thinking of changing my name to no hope, ha ha ha
nick, this is starting to become my expectation. It will obviously happen, but not with people like this is in govt.
Absolutely.. do you remember the 2015's when we were glued to the 1 penny range... I filled up somewhat then. But it took years to bounce back. Sometime in 2025 we might see this back. I'll just hold on until I either lose it all or one day have the lovely news that the government are not led by cretins. Maybe my children will benefit after I'm gone (I'm in my 40s)
This isn't the first time this has happened....it's got deja vu written all over it.
Xeno79,
This is just pretend politics.
Pretend to be dissatisfied with a sitting PM to give the impression that MPs are determined to find a better way. They are not. All they want is to keep busy retaining their cushy jobs.
To retain a PM who has been given a vote of no confidence in the process of reconstituting a new politically effective alliance demonstrates just how self serving these clowns are.
For over 8 years they have pretended to engage with the company's application to mine at Kallak. I reality they have zero engagement with the application, endlessly recycling bland statements and concocting illusory obstacles.
Apart from being masters of pretence, the swedes are also very skilled at denial, particularly the massive criminal and social destabilisation of the once placid country by unfettered immigration.
Sweden is a basket case and will ultimately be indulging in the same inept behaviours as the country goes down the pan completely.
I think even if this comes good now, LTH's will be cautious of future investments in a company trying to operate in Sweden. Which is a shame, I hear it is a lovely place.
I’ve held for 10 years in the hope /expectation common sense would prevail however I have now concluded
- Swedish politics/politicians has no integrity
- they are the epitome of self serving
- no one holds them to account
I will sadly exit this share as soon as I can brave the losses/lost opportunity cost. I hold no Ill will to kurt.
Sorry to sound like a broken record..............But they are now having another vote for a guy who lost a vote of no confidence...WOW. You would think they would at least roll out a new leader to pretend something has changed.
Thanks Xeno, whilst I like your optimism, I’m not sure any new investors will be buying from the UK...Sweden is looking like a very poor place to invest considering the political position and the complete lack of transparency for any form of procedure. I can see money going into Africa again as it’s easier to manage!
The fact that nothing will change here until November means another year at best and even the long term investors are going to be out by then. It’s sad that there’s no desire to progress this in Sweden, I’m guessing Kurt will look to Finland and Kosovo but nothing new to come there so I can see this retracing below 2p...and unlikely to climb up again. Why would Sweden go against UNESCO now that they’re involved? Very sad...
...good luck to you, I hope Sweden has companies that want to actually grow!
Not only is baylan still the overseer for the mining decisions he has two jobs now.
The social demokrats kicked out its mininsters of the countryside to replace a goverment figure that has been on sickleave for a year or two for drunk driveing.
https://www.gp.se/nyheter/sverige/landsbygdsministern-avg%C3%A5r-f%C3%B6r-att-r%C3%A4dda-l%C3%B6fven-1.50382572
Another problem that the left and green party have done is to put almost 500 gasoline stations out of businiess on the countryside so jennie did an awesomw job being the minister for the countryside before baylan.
https://www.aftonbladet.se/minekonomi/a/QmQEyQ/500-bensinmackar-kan-forsvinna-en-katastrof
The social demokrats are power hungry beyond words and do everything possible to stay in power. they fear elections because their numbers are dwindling. its a horrible situation for busniess people but i still feel hopeful for the future.
Hopefully they wont be able to form a goverment on wendsday or if they do i hope we get a new righ wing one during novemeber when the budget proposals fail for the leftwing.
And one last thought on why the stock price have fallen some points below. When the news came out that unesco rapport has come a lot of people thought it was positive when they did not mention anything about removing the world heritage status but the news turned sour when it was clear to most that is neither a yes or no against a mine. The tradeing volume went almost over 20 million swedish crows wich means some day traders have their daytradeing money stuck on a higher price then now. some are selling off to try to win back the money on other stocks while waiting for good news on beowulf. In short there is massive intresst for beowulf but they need to get that green light for investors to stay and buy in again. There is no doubt in my mind atleast that the ATH will be broken once the permits clear, hopefully this social goverment will give the green light for future votes or from the rightwing one in the fall/winter.
Have a nice evening all.
I’m amazed this stayed north of 4p for this long. I’m not sure what will arrest further dips or perhaps, what will take it back.
With the state of flux over power, can Sweden make decisions? I’m guessing housing and rent is going to take priority...BEM just doesn’t get any breaks...
Is Baylan still the minister who oversees mining decisions?
Sorry, I’ve tuned out for some time and not sure where we are! Gone are the days when you couldn’t afford to not touch base daily! I slid the graph to 10 yrs and we were coming down from the 70p mark...upper 20s back then...oh for even the sniff of double figures!!!
The reason i think ulf did not gamble at the voteing meeting is that he does not want to win because of someone pressing the wrong button or missinging the voteing. He wants to form at stable goverment where the parties will get most of their demands meet and with good margins. For example he gave the center party an amazing deal where they would get pretty much everything they wanted but they declined it because they wont be associated with sverige demokraterna.
Now the Center party tries to get a simmular deal through with their left colluuges but the green party (miljö partiet) has said no. The green party belive if the beach regulations are removed ( not to build anything 300 meters from water) then various species will go extinct.. just lol. I think the center party members are mad at the party leader annie lööf because she turned down such a good offer and could have had a good deal to say in a right wing goverment, now they are acting as support wheels for this leftwing mess.
The point about the commuinst is that for a very, very long time the social demokrats have been looked at as the party for workers and for the middle class where the motto in short has been prosperity for all with free healthcare , school , no difrence between rich and poor etc but for the last few years a lot of people feel that the social demokrats are bowing to big corps and have turn down the little man. This is why the voteing power has diluted in the social demokrat party and has gone to the communist vänstern party. The vänster party have become big winners with their delusions on fixed rent controls.
This rent control proposal has been tried a millions times to lure people to vote for them beliving they are doing good but instead are doing the reverse. People think by putting a max ceiling on rent then that would fix housing problems. They dont understand that putting these limitations will destroy the market of building any new buildings. For example lets say i want to start a new resturant and the goverment says i can only charge a maxiumum of 1 pound per plate. doesnt matter what i cook or how much i can only charge 1 pound. What kind of resturant would u think it would be to eat there? there would not be any incentive to create a good dish it would only be scraps just like the buildings. You would create nothing but ghettos. People cry that apartments are expensinsive today in sweden but they are looking at the apartments that are in the centrum of the 3 biggest citys in sweden. They should instead try to buy apartemnts that outside of the city with 1/10 of the cost but no people of course want to buy a 160kvm apartment in the middle of stockholm next to the king and only pay 20k£
The voteing will take place this wendsday yes thats correct. Its still unsure how it will work out. The savage rouge politican Aminah has said she could cut down löven if her demans are not met.
