Griller Article: May 2013 Boss of 3D technology specialist sees a bright, long term growth future "Canaccord’s own discounted cashflow model that calls for 50p" http://www.ddd.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DDD-Shares-30-May-20131.pdf
I agree, based on the contracts in place and the earnings stream that these will provide it seems very cheap at these prices..
Good Article: Samsung Garners 95% of Android Profit, Says Strategy Analytics http://blogs.barrons.com/techtraderdaily/2013/05/15/samsung-garners-95-of-android-profit-says-strategy-analytics/?mod=yahoobarrons Samsung licensed DDD's 3D patents for a reason. I believe those patents will be in most of Samsung's tvs, computers, tablets and smartphones before Christmas, singing to each other..
SP being walked down to 10p.
invested here, I sold a few days back at 23 but as in all shares I`ve invested in I still follow the bb. I`m really not sure why this has tanked because the results were good. I can`t see this as mere market manipulation, there has to be an underlying factor. I`d like to buy back in because I think the fundamentals are sound. Not sure how much lower this can go though. Good luck to all, I hope everyone sees a profit soon. TP
Of investing here.just a quick question to the longtermers.do you think the sp dropping is a result of the directors off loading shares.
I can't make out why the sp gone down so low. Maybe there is a bit of manipulation at play who knows ? , anyway i don't like the way its going so sold my shares here, I think this will drift down to about 10p. if it does i may buy back. GLA hope you will be eventually awarded for your patience
I've been watching DDD and had it on my watchlist for around 5 years now. I have been actively researching the company for the last couple of months, and as it dropped from high 20's to low 20's, I began to get really interested. I only buy into companies on AIM who I believe have the potential to be market-leaders for the foreseeable future. That is exactly what I predict for DDD. They currently sell their technology fairly cheaply to ensure that as many major OEM's as possible use their technology. I believe they will cement their place in the 3D marketplace through a combination of good value and ease of use, meaning majors such as Samsung and LG will start to rely on DDD's tech more and more. As this happens, and the 3D market continues to grow as it is anticipated to, DDD will be able to increase the price of their technology, meaning better bottom line profits. I checked the limits a few minutes ago after the ask dropped to 15p, and Lloyds online were offering a price for up to 150,000 shares, but I could only get a quote to buy a max of 1,500 shares. So if you have the holding you can sell 100 x what you can buy! I grabbed 1,000 and 1,500 shares at 15p, and may look to add further if it goes much lower, or on signs that some demand is returning for the stock and the SP is stabilising. I don't think this is a 50p by xmas stock, despite broker targets etc, but at current prices 50p in the next 2 years or so would still be a very good return, and I believe that is very possible. GLA
yep, although i'm disappointed in the SP at the moment, i do agree with a little patience we will be awarded
The Stock is bad but the future has great potential. Samsung alone could make DDD's investors a lot of money. good article. Samsung Trouncing Apple Gangnam Style http://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2013/04/26/samsung-trouncing-apple-gangnam-style/?partner=yahootix
Thats the same amount i topped up with. Welcome aboard and hope you got alot of . patience :). I'm from london but i did get my username from the battle of hastings, I go there quiet abit during the summer
Been watching these for ages. They seem to be under priced for what looks like an up and coming dynamic company. Saw them drop today and couldn't resist dipping my toe in the water with 5K shares. PS from your user name, are you near Battle E.Sussex?
Which way will it go now, I'm quite surprised its gone this low after the results , i can't find any reason for it myself, But think it will bounce back tomorrow so topped up again and crossed fingers and toes which i know is not the best investment strategy lol
Results did absolutely nothing for this sp. Fed up with waiting any longer. Wish all who remain the very best of luck and endless patience. GL
Any predictions?

Does this ever finish in the blue. Bitterly disappointed in this share,it continues to do nothing. Sorely tempted to swallow my loss and move on. Patience almost at an end after nearly a year.
Yonhap News Agency Reports: "SEOUL, March 18 (Yonhap) -- Worldwide sales of 3D TVs jumped 72 percent last year despite an industry-wide slump in the global TV market, data showed Monday. 3D TV shipments totaled 41.45 million units last year, compared with 24.14 million units in 2011, according to the data by DisplaySearch. The figure marks a nearly 18-fold growth from 2.26 million units in 2010, when the market researcher began compiling the data. On the back of sales growth, the proportion of 3D TVs in the flat-panel TV market almost doubled to 19 percent from 11 percent. By company, Samsung Electronics Co. controlled the market with a 27 percent market share. The company's stake, however, slipped from 31 percent in 2011 and 37 percent in 2010. LG Electronics Inc. emerged as No. 2 with an 18 percent market share, up from 14 percent in 2011 and 6 percent in 2010. Japanese manufacturer Sony Corp. came in third with 7 percent, trailed by Chinese and Japanese manufacturers such as Panasonic Corp. and Changhong Electric Co., according to the data. Meanwhile, the data showed that 3D TVs incorporating LG Display Co.'s film patterned retarder (FPR) panels first surpassed those using Samsung's shutter glasses in the fourth quarter. The market shares of 3D TVs using FPR technology came to 51.6 percent in the fourth quarter, topping the 48.4 percent share of those using shutter glasses. The figures mark a leap for FPR panels, which accounted for 22.4 percent of the market in the first quarter of 2011."
If DDD's technology is part of Samsung's Galaxy S4 announcement today, tomorrow could be the big game changer for DDDs investors. Samsung patent filings detail panorama and 3D camera support 11 March 2013 by Robert Nelson Samsung is going to be unveiling “The Next Galaxy” in the not to distant future and while we have seen plenty of spec related rumors up until this point in time, it seems they are not going to die down before the announcement. Of course, these details are all being mixed in with some official teasers from Samsung. Anyway, the latest Samsung related information is coming by way of a few patent filings. In this case we are referring to a pair of patent filings. The timing would suggest that these could be related to the Galaxy S4. But the again, the timing could also be nothing more than a coincidence. The first filing is dealing with a 3D camera feature and the second is dealing with a panoramic camera feature. Th 3D related patent is thought to mean that the Galaxy S4 could be capable of producing 3D video as well as 3D still images. This patent was published earlier in the month and is showing as being “application software for smart phones.” Well for smartphones as well as for tablets, digital cameras and numerous other devices including portable media players. Basically, this is looking like the 3D will come in after the image or video has been captured (as opposed to having a dual-camera setup that captures 3D while recording). http://androidcommunity.com/samsung-patent-filings-detail-panorama-and-3d-camera-support-20130311/
I guess market forces have to work in the end as good news builds, either it gets taken over, or the share price begins to reflect the true potential.
All the news that emerges about DDD is positive and upbeat yet the sp seems superglued in this bracket. I know this is AIM, I know this is thinly traded but good news sooner or later has to transfer to sp or why are we here?
I am actually surprised Techradar did not pick up that Samsung has a licence deal with DDD with the software to perform this 2D to 3D conversion. It is looking like 2D to 3D conversion will become a standard feature in the Samsung Galaxy devices moving forward if they are lodging a trademark for the feature. I guess watch this space as mobile device integration would be huge for DDD.
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/will-samsung-3d-video-conversion-software-pop-up-in-galaxy-s4-1136772 This could be pretty significant.
