Oh, dear, someone couldn't have turkey on Christmas day. The year before Mr J complained it as well. Not enough turkeys it seems. Mr J paid for the turkeys on a non-UK rate for someone else to have it.
You don't need to have any relationship within the company you work for. If you have any relationship with someone in the same company, you will have more troubles and may have to work for other companies instead. For a well paid job, again you don't need to have any relationship within the company you work for, you only need to be qualified.
Construction workers are almost paid seasonally and hourly. Engineers have to work fulltime and get pay annually. It is not that difficult to find these jobs, all depend on your intention to work or not. All in all, you should be well qualified first, and should be able to communicate in professional language.
Family-run business never go well, in my opinion.
There is a strange person in the red house. He is talkative in an American accent, but seems lonely lately. He must have been betrayed, beaten and broken. Look at what sort of people surrounding him, the answer is clear. He need some serious help indeed.
The rumour is the gang in the red house has successfully sold a man-made diamond ring to a blur bloke from the US. The sneaky sale men have tried every effort to achieve this. We keep our best diamond to ourselves, it is a common sense. If it were a real good diamond, why not kept for themselves?
From their writing, you can know what sort of person they are. There must be reasons why they keep following, mentioning and reacting. Money talks.
Interesting report - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60213084
Nationwide building society said prices rose by 11.2% year-on-year and by 0.8% between December and January.
This is the highest January rise since 2005.
In my opinion BKG price is very tempting at these levels and SP should be back towards the pre-pandemic highs of 54xx. Dividend is OK here too.
Ya, ya....the methylophaga murata have diamond studded toenails
We might look up sometimes, but would be more worry about getting poo dropping from above. Think of who gives you a pair of wings.
The greeks are flying high over rurikid's playground
Giant guys use their cars to spy big boys' playing cards. Money men use technology to spy vulnerable victims' playing cards. Greedy guys use their PC viruses to spy small shrimps over the pond.
The people living in the red house share their barbed wires between neighbours, very typical in one communist country.
We don't share bared wires, hedges or fences between neighbours in the UK.
I really don't like builders, almost all of them. I always get a slightly headache when I have to deal with them. Anyone can become a builder. Unfortunately, I always have builders as clients and neighbours.
My builder neighbours like to spy on my family, intrude my garden and do some damages. They borrowed many times my foil for free to cover his turkeys and chickens when did roasted dinners. One Bob, the builder even spent a million pounds on another grandad builder's outdated newspaper with a baby girl in a bathroom pictures.
I don't want to spend a lot time to reply to personal insults on this BB, hope this is the last time. The gang can delete my posts as quickly as has been happening, so it is really wasting my time to write anything on this chatting board anymore.

''6. Share Consolidation
It is expected that, as a result of the decrease in the value of the Company's net assets due to the Return of Cash, there would, without a consolidation of the Company's ordinary share capital, be a corresponding decrease in the market price of the Ordinary Shares'' etc etc
https://www.berkeleygroup.co.uk/media/pdf/m/8/23179_Berkeley_NoM_Circular.pdf
How can you erode a payment to shareholders.
Returns to shareholders have nothing to do with a consolidation.
A consolidation is just a cosmetic exercise.
If X amount per share is being returned to shareholders then normally the share price would fall by X amount.
The BOD for whatever reason wanted to counteract this drop in share price by reducing the number of shares in the market, and thereby attempting to keep the share price at a similar level to what it was before Mondays XD day.
Hi longtimeinvestor
Doesn't the consolidation erode the 371 p divi to some extent?

''Yes that's right but don't forget the 8% haircut that accompanies it.''
Whats new? - any asset return to shareholders is an asset leaving the business which will be reflected in the market cap, the same reason why most other companies market cap would fall on XD day.
Yes that's right but don't forget the 8% haircut that accompanies it.
I don't think I am any better off after these changes but I guess they were meant to ne neutral but with the subsequent falls today and yesterday I am not up anywhere near as much as before. Falls may have happened anyway but seems a lot of shenanigans for no gain; though IMHOO and am happy to be put right if I have failed to pick up on anything.
