also, i thought the financial announcement was going to be end of month, 28th. is it now 18th?
For Immediate Release 3 March 2009 ALLIANCE PHARMA PLC ("Alliance Pharma" or "the Company") MVM partner appointed to Alliance Pharma Board Alliance Pharma plc (AIM: APH), the speciality pharmaceutical company, is pleased to announce that Thomas Theodore Casdagli, a partner of MVM Life Science Partners LLP ("MVM"), has today been appointed to the Board of the Company. On 27 February 2009 MVM acquired a 9.3% shareholding in Alliance Pharma. The relationship with MVM going forward will include the potential for MVM to lead equity fundraisings for any future product acquisitions undertaken by Alliance Pharma.
I have been sat on these for a while now, Hopefully this is the up turn and onwards. A nice steady climb until the 18th.
Unusual volume going through today
RNS 2/3. See RAB sold 2.4m shares on 17th Feb leaving them with 15418399. Still think MVM purchase came from RAB and that they have now sold their holding.
Yes maybe you are right but the only reason I suggested RAB was their shareholding in the Co was 17818399 and the sell was 15018399 seems a strange amount.
Maybe the source of the shares is from John Dawnson himself. He is willing to sell to guarantee future funding and expansion. I cannot see RAB or Nigel Wray selling for 4p when the company has so many prospects !
where did the remaining 15 million shares go ? Hmmmm
Looks to me as though the 15m 'sell' on friday was actually MVM buying the 15m that they have now acquired. presumably bought from RAB hence no movement in sp. Like the looks of this share for the medium term.
From Friday are still unaccounted for, wonder who got them
They will have resaerched company for potential prior to this investment, expecially as they invest purely in this kind of company
MVM acquires 9.3% shareholding and to join Board Alliance Pharma plc (AIM: APH), the speciality pharmaceutical company, is pleased to announce that MVM Life Science Partners LLP ("MVM"), the specialist healthcare investor with more than $500 million under management, has acquired a 9.3% shareholding in the Company. Hev you an thoughts on what might be going on with this share, with the 30 million trade on Friday, looks like 15mill are RAB
SP stayed put dont know where the shares went yet
I don't get the fact that so many shares (almost 30 Mil in total, or am I missing something?) were sold or changed ownership and the SP didn't budge ? If Goldshield were the recipients of these shares then the sp would of shot up ? Confused :/
There has been a bit more interest in Alliance Pharma, down 0.25p to 4.375p, than usual in recent weeks and traders yesterday pointed to speculation that Goldshield, down 1p to 236p, is taking a look at the provider of niche prescription drugs to pharmacies. Last week Nigel Wray, the share tipster turned merchant banker, raised his stake.
Doing a bit of searching at the moment, it was obviously agreed sale as SP did not move, thinking maybe Goldshield
i havent a clue. Should it be the case we should find out monday i guess... Whats your thoughts?
Why would we have a co-ordinated sale of RAB Holdings which looks likely plus another large holder
http://ir.alliancepharma.co.uk/alliancepharma/shareholderinfo/majorshareholders.jsp RAB Special Situations 17,818,399 10.99 % Mr Nigel Wray 12,169,995 7.51 % one sell was 15,018,399. 2.9ish short of rab one sell was 15000000 2.9ish more than wrays i think that (on the basis of number similarity) rab have dumped and possibly nigel wray on the basis of what the two holdings add up to. purely a guess based on holding size compared with trades and guesswork.
say 18%
roughly
would that be 18%??
was rumoured Possible agreed purchase of shares Any thoughts?
on here 30 million shares sold and no shift in SP
