to yesterday's gain. Very low volume today but all trades on or above the bid. Some timely news tomorrow should move us to the next trading range.
leas - no i know it wasn't a side swipe but was a good insight on the mans capabilities in my view.
My comment this morning was not a 'side swipe' at SC's ability to do the job. In fact quite the opposite. The guy seems to be rather good at turning around a company's fortune and move on to something new. I am very confident with developments here and expect more of the same thing. Not so sure how the format goes for applying for a telecoms licence in the US, but recent Director buys reflects their confidence in their own ability to get things done.
Looking good for SNTY. Price finished at high of the day - no pullback so thats bullish. We look to be close to breakout. Volume decent today. Also worth noting that 20 day EMA topped the 50 day EMA for the first time since the big gap down in Aug earlier this month. Any strong charties confirm that this is a bullish switch?
Actually guys I think I agree with you both. Good points. It could be that SC will decide to hand over the reins once SNTY reach the point where they decide to go for a major 'land grab' ie.major expansion. Or someone will take SNTY out but I think that unlikely. You're also right about Seeman inthemony he's likely to want to be too hands on in the business and how it is being run from a visionary and product point of view. Don't forget MS also has a sizeable stake in the business 13.38%. Just my thoughts. None of this negative for SNTY, there are capable hands on the tiller at this juncture and thats the main thing. I've got confidence in these guys.
This is an interesting point - SC looks like a turnaround guy and not so much a long-term manager who can grow this thing over the long haul. No real experience in running larger firms. If this really is headed to a 50 or 100+ million market cap, I have to wonder if he is the kind of guy to step aside to let a proper CEO take over who can manage a potentially global company. Seeman looks to be more of a tech vision guy, not really the person to manage a larger firm for the long run.
Was lookng this morning without much luck. However, with no upfront fee and long contracts, I suspect there are not many. if their services deliver then signing up new clients should not be a problem as expenditure is virtually zero and the ability to walk away is good incentive too. The company seems to be gathering momentum and as Dibs has already pointed out the MC valuation is ridiculous when you see the potential.
any detailed sense of competition in the US?
My thoughts also. However, having recently looked at SC's CV from the company's own website I would guess that the company would not be able to realise full shareholder value. Or private shareholders. Today's annoncement adds to the potential and marketing companies will not be ignoring that.
Oh you're damn right its not been absorbed! SNTY have a huge market opened up to them now - ten times bigger than previously. But, as always, this still remains relatively under the radar. It's currently valued at less than £10m MC and when you consider how many dodgy oil explorers (for example) have bigger valuations it's laughable it should be so ignored but as the revenue growth becomes more and more apparent that will start to change. I see no problem this getting to £100m valuation within 5 years which would represent just short of a ten bagger if you are prepared to hold long term.
I think the news is not fully absorbed yet. The news of the telecoms licence is huge for the company. If they establish a foot hold in sales in the US then I think clients will be knocking on their doors, rather than SNTY having to promote themselves. Good movement in the sp today on the back of small buys, seems like every time there is good news investors wanting to buy have quite a big spread to consider.
That seems to be their plan for now, to invest as little as possible in the US and let their integration partners do the selling. Appears reasonable to me. If the product is good enough (which we know it is) then, as you say, it sells itself with the endorsement of the UK partner community.
US CRM typically 10 times that of the UK. Bodes well going into 2014. Looks like the service will sell itself. :-}
No spare funds at the moment, but will keep an eye on it.
Simon Cleaver Interview already on BRR Media: 'Huge step forward"
Still time to get in. Have a look at the fundamentals of this company. No doubt many many positive RNS's to come as the business grows and revenue starts to flow. Not to mention their business model avoiding large upfront fees for new clients. Great news.
Well done guys, nice rns....
:D
nice tick up. Charts look primed for the next leg up
I always get my hopes up when I see the rns light flashing, but it's nice to have them exceeded for once. I imagine this is the kind of news that will catch the attention of a few IIs. Agree with you Dibs sensible and low risk strategy. Perhaps the main risk is it may speed up the efforts of US competitors and my erode our first mover advantage. We'll see, but it's a similar sales model that has worked in the UK: let our partners worry about marketing the product and we do the tech. It's difficult to see what we could add by being in the US physically anyway, apart from maybe better tech support.
Exciting RNS today which underlines the huge potential for growing the business. I do not think growth in The USA is priced in so plenty of potential for appreciation of the share price.
Simon Cleaver : "an enormous and very exciting opportunity for Synety" :D Very much transformational announcement typically underplayed by management.
Good news indeed! Now SNTY can begin to penetrate the much larger US market that is now available to them. I guess their dilemma now illustrated by SC's 'cautious' comment is on two fronts: 1. How to manage this new market. They currently have no permanent physical US presence and will run from the UK for now (from a sales, technical etc perspective). 2. Considering how many UK companies have ultimately failed in the US. So they tread safely for now with existing integration partners and see how things unfold - sounds low risk and potentially good return to me. no BIG investment for the time being. All in all, sensible strategy.
It certainly is. Salesforce has a MC of £34bn to give an idea of it's size. We haven't even scratched the surface yet….
