Hotdog1 Look what happened to the PTSB share price since they made a public share offer over two years ago..the share price HAS MORE than halved in the meantime!! I didn't partake in that gamble as I am still nursing losses i that bank but will continue to hold. I can see the same happening to AIB albeit to a lesser extent. The reverse split reduces drastically the number of BOI shares on the market by 30-1 and should go some way to reducing day trading but at about €6.50/7 a pop, will investors risk having a punt at these levels?? The SP could stagnate/oscillate at between €5 and €7 euro for years to come. My average is 49 cent on this dog which is approx. a 50% loss. And I certainly would not touch AIB with a barge pole....the share price will tank just like Eircom did and PTSB and BOI after the last public share offer.
Why do you not use the filter provided - it blocks out nuisance postings - quite easy to use - even I could make it work, it is now a pleasure to be on this site even though we are not going up like the Stock Market YET.
Caughr with your pants down cooking! Now stop spoofing and go to bed; it's past your bed time!!! Spend more time on maths tomorrow at school. I recommend you also get a bit of a grind. Going thru life it useful to be able to do basic calculations.
Who said anything about capital gain? I was talking about your boast of 1000 stg dividend in lloyds and how much you hold in lloyds and boi
It was a dividend payment not a capital gain arising out an increase in the share price.. Do you know the difference? Me thinks you don't have many shares...
Agreed.
I was a shareholder @18 and never sold don't knock capital losses
For good or bad,my believe less Shares less manipulation This is not trying to be clever but it makes sense Free Market should give us a near true price or where we should be at this time G L A
I remember when it was all going mad buying shares in BOI (not my current holding) at bloody 7€ ! I'll have capital lossses for ever
Why don't we all disclose our holdings? No because we have more class than that. Was it 50c a share 1000 stg 2000 shares @70 140000 stg and the same in boi well done cat well done. Seems like it was only last week . you had it all under the mattress hahaha
Surely folks we are nearing the end game here. I can't prove it but I agree with mr Gee that this share is manipulated to a perverse degree and the sooner we are out of penny price land the better re a share split
I have to a first approximation the same amount invested in Lloys and Bkir. Today I got 1k GBP dividend from lloyds and so far diddly squat from BKIR. Bloody headache this share.
I have been saying about this manipulation for years now, no hair left on my head to pull out! It's very frustrating and presumably criminal, the pattern is there so the parties should be identifiable and I suspect there is more than one guilty party. Is there any regulator at all?
hi I purchased 41000 bkir shares in 2009 with this 30 for 1 would say keep them of sell at the highest price before change date. thanks wizard-of-nos
Consistent deletion of trades, mostly sale trades every day. Always significant size, some up to a day later. I have been around the block in many markets and have not come across this process before. Error yes, manipulation no. It takes two to tango, so yes the manipulator is pulling the trigger but there has to be a broker/trader/bank that is prepared to cancel the trade at the same price. The intention has to be clear to both parties because the consistency is there, day in day out. This points clearly to a suppression of price by parties to be defined. Anyone understand something else on this? Maybe a word into the ISE would be merited!
Someone or thing is taking the Mick ere and havin a laugh at our expense
.. this just in today at BOI investor news.. the new stock approval at the High Court is scheduled for june 23 of next month.. the reverse stock split could be scheduled for June. in this news is blackrock trading notifications.. they have filed numerous filings showing buys and sells.. they currently have 5% threshold as of may 11. they actually increased ownership..new stock filing by BOI.. 30 shares become 1 share.. at todays price of 0.245 the new shares would be about 7.35 each .. https://investorrelations.bankofireland.com//wp-content/assets/Notification-to-Creditors-11.05.2017.pdf
Most times it hurts to be long Time investor but if you trading this Share right now it has to be difficult call G L A
I think we can expect to see 23 today, judging by the start, down 15% in one week! The endgame must be near!
.. this is not fresh off the press .. but it mentions the restructure of stock and a dividend for next mid year https://www.irishtimes.com/business/financial-services/bank-of-ireland-gets-green-light-for-corporate-restructuring-1.3064818?mode=amp
Of course the government don't own BOI they only own a percentage - it's the Bank of England that is owned by the UK government. With growth being directed from the EU. Apart from that the politicians do have an input as when Mary Harney insisted that Anglo Irish be sold when the Australians were running it like an English bank and playing with the interest that they charged their customers "whilst they were supporting them" as my bank never tired of telling me all about how they were supporting my business when in fact it was the other way around.
Thank god he doesn't play chess
begins with the government owning BOI - appointing and approving the board of Directors - the responsibility for maintaining growth or discipline within the economy, normally assisted by an interest rate policy - in the days when we had interest rates. Politicians will also be responsible OR SOME OF THEM, when it comes to addressing the border issue and how the loyalists are going to be financed. Anyone who believes that this will NOT directly affect the economy in the Republic and the governments need to finance the increased level of benefits that will be needed by our separated brethren or we will never hear the end of how their "human rights" have been affected. No wonder I play golf. Good luck all....
https://www.irishtimes.com/business/financial-services/bank-of-ireland-to-continue-uk-operations-despite-brexit-1.3081009?mode=amp Hotdog agree with you that hard border with be an unmitigated disaster and your other points. Bornintheusa, peace and politics are inextricably linked; even the dogs in the street know that.
