**With regards your flamboyant report of a meeting held in the FI, the important details has not been proven, either way as yet, so I can't yet judge how accurate it was.**
We will see....IMHO
Market-Dealer, good evening to you too.
I have long thought, and posted that SL sanction will most likely happen.
Navitas have put their money where their mouth is, and demonstrated a pleasingly focused commitment to Sea Lion, even at $60bbl.
With regards your flamboyant report of a meeting held in the FI, the important details has not been proven,
either way as yet, so I can't yet judge how accurate it was.
However, most investors can agree that the meeting in the FI was positive , and Navitas, whilst inherently secretive, are also incredibly capable. I'm relaxed about my 500k.
SpaceHoppa? Good Evening,
Everything been said in my original post will happen
Cos they were the words of the top man.......IMHO
Just relax, have a lovely evening...Good night, cheers
Can't see the need for an RNS either, it's just meetings after all and mostly some else's meeting. As for the government, it's not really their project to push so can't see them doing too much more. Presumably they have meetings all the time.
FIG has a facebook page if you want to follow their press releases, to be honest most of them are largely mundane drivel about tin can collections or pharmacy closing times. I also get the pleasure of reading them three times as they also post them on the FI community pages.
Neilus - from memory RAB were selling as the first FOGL drill was taking place. As others noted, they are making a profit and might also be rebalancing their portfolio etc.
All very positive, I posted earlier this week that without news the latest, quicker, rise in RKH was all hot air (no disrespect to contributors here but we’ve seen it all before) but with the tone of this press release will, I believe, inspire some confidence. This share has been on a hair trigger for years. Will it take an FID for it to start to go up in a meaningful way? Maybe. Or will a smaller event, like a fairly innocuous, but positive, press release do it…or something in between?
As another thought, I can also see folks being hesitant to buy. Yep, fully get that…but to sell…what kind of trading theory would bring someone to sell…now?
Fecm, it's probably just officialdom corporate speak. We all know FI population, and FiG in general, are supportive to get the oil industry established, as long as the usual environmental safeguards are in place
The important points are words like
'Our team presented the significant progress made...., towards Sea Lion’s Final Investment Decision.'
Music to investors ears :)
Does the mention of "joint work streams" suggest that the eventual FIG sign off will be very quick and probably a mere formality - subject to Navitas going ahead ?
SH, I agree, most of the press release was very encouraging indeed. I just get a little frustrated when I hear things along the lines of 'discussions are on-going' (how many times have we been there). Citizen does make a good point though about not wanting to stir things up too soon, which I hadn't considered.
Thanks for the link CitizenTZ, very interesting.
Fecm, I think in general, the report was very encouraging. Especially from Gideon Tadmor as per below.
FIG also said
''Chief Executive, Andy Keeling said “The ENTUSIASM and can-do approach of the Navitas Team is very evident, having face to face meetings has been invaluable. (And as we all know anyway) Their COMMITTMENT to Sea Lion and to working closely with FIG has been very demonstrable and we look forward to developing this further''
The chances of Sea Lion being sanctioned is almost certain, it's more a question of when, not if.
'Chairman of Navitas Petroleum, Gideon Tadmor commented: "Our team presented the significant progress made, built on predecessor’s high quality work, towards Sea Lion’s Final Investment Decision. FIG’s collaborative approach and support will enable us to accelerate the development of Sea Lion to the highest practicable technical and environmental standards. Sea Lion is a win-win opportunity'
May mean no real need for an RNS, other than to point out the press release. No point in providing the Argentines with free pointers on how to cause trouble.
At least until you're basically informing them of a fait accompli.
That's the way to do it I'd say if you're really intending to go past the finish line.
People whining about not being told the gossip might have to get used to it, bail out or get a hobby.
@ojogger
Not sure what your problem is but for me, and many others no doubt, it took about 45 seconds to find the press release. From what you say it's just you that shouldn't be holding any of these!
See the FIG Facebook page, simplest way of doing these things I guess
https://m.facebook.com/100064291495689/
"We support the development of Sea Lion in principle, subject to required formal approvals, and remain keen and committed to continuing discussions with the team on how this project could develop."
To me, the language used by the Legislative Assembly doesn't come accross as if they are in any hurry. Thankfully, everyone else sounded more positive.
ojogger - There wasn't really anything price moving in it, just the usual "intent" etc etc. A LOI wont even move this much, money on the table will. Back to under 10p soon enough.
My post has covered what has been said on the 1st of March
At 4 20pm at * C C*....There were 3 meetings on the island (The article mentioned only 2),
FIG, CC and at A*** House (where all the oil companies has offices there).
Won't bother next time....IMHO
Cos you havevan egg on face you started to attack Garb,
Shame on you....IMHO
Just for clarity I wasn’t laughing at Jocko
I was laughing at the comment before about wasn’t that what MD posted
Hope that makes it clear
Texting social media is so open to interpretation

And it's Match 2023, by the way.
I cannot believe that there hasn't been any announcements. I would advise anyone thinking of buying based on a so called press release that we cannot see., and furthermore, not even reported in the Falklands, should think twice.
I wouldn’t take it personally jocko, I guess most shareholders have learned to treat everything they read on bulletin boards with a pinch of salt until officially confirmed - once bitten and all that.
Market Trader (Garbled) also has a long history on these boards of posting nonsense so people are bound to question it even when he might end up saying something truthful. Like I said at the time I was prepared to believe the content of what he wrote but he wasn’t there so it was second hand info at best. That’s why it was treated with caution by some.
Anyway it looks like it was a positive trip and good to get some official comments, all of which sound promising. No word on an MOU yet although that may come later.
Now let’s see the latest FDP from Navitas and get funding sorted so the whole project can be considered for FID.
So probably something in the Penguin News this week, if they choose to consider it big news (most press releases make it tbh).
Fundamentally MT said the same thing (with a few remarks not in the press release), I also said prior to the meetings that they would be in the FI and gave the names of the people coming. I don't speak for MT, but I was personally quite offended that some on here would choose to call me a liar especially when it was clear that those saying so had no idea at all. I'm really not sure what proof people expect when information is proved, they've clearly never been to the FI or understand how it works over there.
Can't see this press release says all that much except they were there and there still seems to be a general desire to do the project all round. I see there being a bit of positivity for a fair few FI shares, I see FIH seem to be on the rise also
Thanks Jock for sharing, good to get some facts. It all sounds very positive and feels they are making strides forward. No mention for a timescale, but then we can expect that to come later, hopefully sooner rather than later. I love this bit,
“The enthusiasm and can-do approach of the Navitas Team is very evident, having face to face meetings has been invaluable. Their commitment to Sea Lion and to working closely with FIG has been very demonstrable and we look forward to developing this further, through joint workstreams over the coming months.”
Over the coming months, sounds like they are taking the bull by the horns. All we need now is Arbitration news saying that they have ruled in favour of RKH and lawyers with regards the stay.

Is this not what m/t stated happened last week LOL

Great find Jocko many thanks!
