MAY the force be with you.
It looks like a few more weeks on this downward trend, remember 'sell in May and Go Away, Don't come back until St Ledgers Day'. May half to wait until H2 for upturn.
I share your frustration, Choppy and Roth1. I think Colonel Drake’s excellent posts over the last couple of days explain what’s going on with the share price. I’m hoping sentiment changes on positive news. We’ll all have to be patient that’s for sure.
The AGM may have a flavour of old Eurotunnel shareholder meetings, given the current mood.
very strange trading -
suspect some bad news in the post.. i'm afraid i'm just so cynical here. hoped to be proved wrong and that all this apparent potential is unlocked
Can't fathom this stock. Today every other oil stock is down on week oil price. We have nearly two million more sales than buys and end up! The other day it was the complete reverse. Something is going on behind the scenes.
Sounds like you are arguing both ways on SBB.
AMER are and having been sitting on cash. Allegedly the next two to three years of drills are covered. With the OBA and our OTC arm then they can tickle PIs feet.
So much for JW 'city' investor your - they are dumping!
here's hoping the AGM raises SBB/DIV chatter.
The BOD has to make the red army bearable.
Possible that 3rd party oil is being trialled along the OBA. NP stated that they were waiting for the final sign off before trials commence.
my point exactly, this lot ae not in control (of anything) it seems!
also, one the biggest oil company in the world (Shell) have reduced the investment in O&G exploration significantly and now have aims of being the largest electricity provider in the world within 10 or so years! If that's not a massive shift from fossil to green energy I can't explain what is. So it could be the case WB has not done his quantitive risk analysis as tight as he thought, things are changing fast in the enegry investment world, he has been wrong many times before, whilst still a FAB investor! :)
the simplist way to get a revaluation is deliver bopd and solid operating cashflows. If AMER grows production to 10,000bopd which is eminently possible in 2019, then SP will re-rate. Two notes of caution, GTE is also down and the oil sector is unloved, secondly ONGC call the shots in CPO5 and they appear more interested in exploration rather than maximising production.
buffest also said "if at first, you don’t succeed, move on to a new strategy" I think the strategy here is failing quite badly which calls for a change of directors and direction...i.e. start the drills and forget everything else, make use of current assets. Eh.....they have enough, do they even know what to do with them, I'd argue not!
Looking forward to buying at JW price.
How does one buy such a lump of shares. Does anyone know who the seller was?
F1game, many people know and follow Warren Buffet, and his backing of Oxys bid for andarko. I don't think he would agree with you that it's not cool to invest in oil.
1. massive investment by II...in other word confidence in the BOD, Management and strategy....so far...missing
2. massive oil find and or the drill all the planned wells and all are successful...what's the chances of that given past performance? This piece of sh*te bugs my investment life, jsut like PMO did!!! No happiness, ever, it seems from these useles fecks. :) rant over....enjoy and GLA.
are going to continue to be out of favour and more so in the coming months and years, its simply not cool to invest in carbon when you are a big business....you only need look at shell to see how they are shifting their position form carbon to 'clean' energy.
Thanks for this, PP; and for comments earlier today.
CD - a lot of the holdings are likely aggregates of private investors and showing up as a single holding due to CREST holding rules and (lack of) transparency. Examples include Hargreaves Landsdown and iii which act as PI brokers with shares held. Banco Santander is one of the biggest ‘high street’ and retail banks in South America, so could well be some local holdings being bought through the bank.
I’m asking what you’re asking, Colonel! :-)

Any ideas on why we seem to never see such reports, anyone? Surely some thresholds are being crossed over the 3% de minimis?
thanks CD!
I’ve been surprised at the lack of RNSs in respect of significant holdings and thresholds as well, Colonel.
A mystery to me...
Mwahahahaaaaa! Brilliant, thank you.
