Idi Amin? Jomo Kenyatta??
apparently Kenya have admitted to having an unnamed African leader in hospital.
Guess if you will.
If the Tanzanian president is in Kenya, that will leave a vacuum. Does the president have ultimate sign off on these matters? i.e. give permission for people to go and work in Tanzania through covid. If he does that would explain the RNS, the reason being he can't sign anything off and if the Tanzanian authorities don't want people to know (which seems to the case according to the media) then that would explain the silence in the Edenville RNS.
JohnZ did you get the placebo ?
February 24, 2021
After months of downplaying the disease, Tanzania has finally acknowledged the presence of Covid-19 in the country, and introduced new measures to prevent its spread.
The sudden deaths of several high-profile politicians, believed to be as a result of Covid-19, fueled worries that the country was in the grips of a second wave. These included the vice president of semi-autonomous Zanzibar, Seif Sharif Hamad, chief secretary John Kijazi, and the former Bank of Tanzania Governor, professor Benno Ndulu.

Yes a “Tanzania Update”
Sadly not everybody reads what’s on the page?.. ...
Two of the easiest things to do on these boards is to criticise and state the obvious. Most genuine investors understand fully the issues that Edenville are facing, while a minority only seek to make inaccurate and misleading statements to darken the situation with negativity for negativities sake and death spiral comments, which to-date have all been proven wrong, and everybody knows they are wrong,.... even they know they are wrong!
Can't argue with that GW
"The only thing not reported to the best of my knowledge is the reason for the delay in the proposed handover to the new contractor"
But that handover is pretty fundamental to us as a business.
All the below is from the last two RNS’s
The only thing not reported to the best of my knowledge is the reason for the delay in the proposed handover to the new contractor. There is an abundance of information not being discussed e.g.
“The Company continues to work with its strategic partner Infrastructure and Logistics Tanzania Ltd ("ILTL") regarding the proposed handover of operations at Rukwa and will provide shareholders with a further update as soon as a formal handover date has been agreed. In the interim period, the Company continues to satisfy existing contracts and is pursuing additional contracts with both existing and potential customers. In addition, the Company has received new East African enquiries regarding power generation capacity and is continuing discussions with the Tanzanian Government regarding a future power plant development at Rukwa”
“Following settlement of the Placing (outlined below) the Company will have sufficient capital to meet its outstanding obligations to Lind. The Company's cash position is expected to be further strengthened by increased production and sales of washed coal from its flagship Rukwa mine in Tanzania during the course of 2021”
“Oversubscribed £900,000 Placing”
“Whilst 2020 was a challenging year for Edenville as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we can now look forward to 2021 with renewed optimism. Rukwa is a producing mine with a sizeable JORC compliant resource of 143Mt and recent upgrades to the processing plant have now boosted capacity to 12,500t per month of washed coal”
“The three agreements (Coal Mining Agreement, Loan Agreement and Sales & Marketing Agreement) signed with our strategic partner during the course of 2020 remain in place and we expect to finally see the benefits of their implementation this year, starting with the handover of Rukwa under the Coal Mining Agreement next month."
Its obvious that the company is going nowhere fast.
Its been this way for a decade now.
News has been minimal and can only conclude there is nothing to report....If thats the case then why is this?
I'm more interested in what happens when Magufuli realises it will take more than a penny in the Meter to get a spark from Rufiji and he has to find a way of engaging the coal men without losing face, I'm assuming of course that he will recover from C 19, if not we could be in a different ball game.
The current situation would explain the last RNS and the lack of completion of the handover.
As aerial said it was a Tanzania update!
Clearly you don’t understand the meaning of the word truth!
I'll give it one more go aerial.
Previous RNSs stated the reason for the delay, the last update on hand over didn't mention a reason. We need the truth as to why handover didn't happen in February. It's not the difference between truth and untruth, but the difference between truth and no information.
I hope you can understand that.
What a hypocrite you are!
Amusing to watch the resident hypocrite at work, who previously stated ardently that he only believes what’s written in an RNS, and doesn’t believe “chittle chattle” discussed at an AGM even though recorded in the minutes, and now dissecting the last RNS as untrue!
If you are looking to get to the bottom of something without information then that is the reason for discussion, if you say you are pushing for the truth then you clearly believe there is an untruth!
If you only believes in what is officially stated in an RNS (using the previous logic) everything else must be chittle chattle! So why are you here at all?
Well done aerial for showing everyone you either don't read what I posted or again randomly interpreting my post. Which bit are you not getting when I say "I don't believe anyone is saying they are not telling the truth"
You are making yourself look silly. Please don't be silly all the time, have a day off from being silly today and give us all a break.
Today sausage doesn’t believe anyone is saying they are not telling the truth?
Not anybody sausage, only you!
It would be Nairobi's hospital, not Dar es due to the lack of protective equipment and support for TZ medical staff, so much for his belief in his own rhetoric.
Bigeye you know full well all political parties tell nothing but the truth :-)
You mean like the tories?
I don't believe anyone is saying they are not telling the truth, more that they are just not telling us at all. As someone mentioned, previous RNS have included the reason for the delay and a revised timescale. the last operational update did not include revised timescales or a reason why handover did not occur in February.
If covid is as rife as we are led to believe by the media in Tanzania then I just can't see anyone wishing to send their people to Tanzania at the moment. However we need to be told this by Edenville, why the delay, why has it taken over 6 months?
If Edenville won't tell us, then people will fill in the blanks themselves and that is never good for the market.
Alistair, you need to publicly state why the handover continues to be delayed or the share price is only heading one way.
Sub 30p on Friday if they remain silent.
