You all live in cloud cuckoo land. And I heard several of them last week in Norfolk.
Colonel, you may well be right but that opportunistic window is narrow. Will OXY join in..? I think highly likely, but an eventual sub 30p t/o isn’t remotely onerous! Very sad but if the mgt don’t snap out of their collective torpor its 9/4 on “Good Night Vienna” it’s been nice to know you... The BOD perhaps anticipating a hostile may well explain the AGM venue change.
CD, are you a ghost writer for Line of Duty?
I shall be attending and my temptation is to forget the niceties afterwards and stick to the realities at every opportunity with lots of question both technical, strategic and performance related. I also look forward to voting although my shares will not have the impact of a mighty institution.
I really hope as many PIs attend as is possible as numbers do speak volumes even if their total equity is still relatively small.
Well said Jaggers, love the boxing analogy. Amerisur perform like an ageing joe Bugner plodding about spoiling and holding, stopping what could be a good show (prospects). Unfortunately he/they too got/get well rewarded for lack lustre effort and earned a good living from those (paying public - PI's) who thought his/their potential would one day erupt in a flurry of aggression/competence!! Never happened. Time this 'bored' get TKO'd (straight Knockout not painful enough!) and someone else 'throw their towel 'in to the ring. Rant over, sorry just soooo frustrated with this share.

Might they be seeking to buy something on the cheap and need the credit line set up?
I’m not sure there will be pools of blood ‘let’ at the AGM but a couple of nasty upper cuts thrown and noses put out of alignment. Rightly so. There may even be a few stinging combinations, which will leave no one in any doubt where delivery and performance levels have been indefensibly inadequate. Given their remuneration the entire mgt can’t feel terribly proud of themselves, they strike me as unspectacular and unenthusiastic. Nothing like enough urgency, energy and drive!
If not removed, I’d expect a few to acknowledge they are now on formal notice. That may be the kick-up-the-ar*e needed. I’m not sure there’s been an irrecoverable loss of trust, but we’re moving uncomfortably (for some) in that direction. That said, a handful of IIs carry a lot of influence and muscle here, and someone may have stuffed a horseshoe into their glove - you never know. Expect the unexpected.
In previous AGM's in Cardiff, investors usually get 15 to 20 mins afterwards to gleam what they can from the board. This year in London, they do not have the excuse that they have to rush off to the city to meet II's, an excuse they have used several times to exit the meetings quickly.
Can any one who has attended previous AGM's tell me whether the BoD spend time after the meeting allowing informal chat?
Who has an opinion about whether it is best to rock the boat with voting and awkward aob questions and forget informal niceties whereapon the BoD may decide to ignore the vocal b******.
Thoughts anyone who is attending.
So can someone tell me who sold these to JW, cos they do not get collected from daily trading?
My mistake: apologies everyone. The notes to the notice for the AGM set the crest and proxy deadlines as 9.30am on the 10th.
Or is the deadline tomorrow? I’ve forgotten.
The fact that this was released at 11am, after the deadline for crest and proxy votes may suggest that Giles Clarke has survived as chairman in the votes received so far. I suspect had he been short of votes, that a rather different RNS would’ve been released.
Just a thought: could be totally wrong (happens rather often, sadly!)
Leas they have never asked for photo ID before and if you didnt bring a letter you would be allowed in but NOT to vote. This has been the norm over the past 10 years in Cardiff but I accept London security issues would mean increased security.
and a weeks notice to get things sorted is commonplace too, let alone good manners!
Come on guys ffs. You even look at a standard obligatory RNS and find criticism. Surely a letter and photo id is commonplace, not forgetting security standards you would expect.
and the AGM is early next tuesday morning making it very difficult for pi's to sort. Suppose these restrictions are lawful?
RNS.
Attendees have to provide a letter and photo ID to attend the AGM.
Making life difficult to be part of this meeting!!!!
Wardle bought a huge chunk at these levels back in November, 'game changing' deals done since. This Company is cheap and very vulnerable to low ball bid.....pull your figures out fellas! The AGM will force the issue.
5 drills planned in the next 5 months, I expect a multi rig announcement.
According to Stockopedia it is trading below book value (17p per share)
OK, yes it’s down but poo is well up and oil will be required for many, many decades to come - we need to learn to use it and burn it in a more green and efficiently ways as frankly alternatives just don’t stack up, VW Audi boss already questioning the econ credibility and environment positives of EVs/battery tech which is likely to stoke a whole new bunch of future environmental issues.
Management need to pull their collective finger out and start promising what they can deliver. It’s not that hard. Just do it! The potential rewards and riches that are there to be unlocked by this company are vast and their cash position and strategic assets remarkably robust.
Unfortunately, the people there do not appear to be fully ‘clutched-in’ so guess what happens next..?
IMO. V likely a battle royal (short and sharp) between owners and management that ends in either a fire-sale or complete mgt clear out. Small wonder London was chosen as the AGM venue!!
2019 will be both a fascinating and important year for AMER. Happy to hold and add as and when I can.
Checked FT data sheet as cannot quite fathom why we this share is not priced more realistically but we appear to be trading at just above tangible book value per share which given the potential in Colombia seems nuts.
But then the markets are not free of manipulation or rational.
