Should be worth a fair bit more these days

Now own 10,000 shares as I am cautiously optimistic that gas prices will see the sp clear 30p before Christmas.
PMG next. Nat gas strong. Platypus update
Interesting, a dire day on the markets, red as far as one can see with just a few gainers yet PMG came out of it in reasonable order. If nothing else the shorters are not on our backs yet.
A few more shares taking my total to a very modest 5,000 on hopes of a cold winter, better gas prices and the outside chance of more North Sea Consolidation.
Much appreciated for pointing that out Robs.. and I did indeed need to upgrade my understandings here.. ( and that Arden note will help plenty thanks.. but I've only glanced thru it so far )
But as this gas is their only form or revenue at this time - I think ? - obviously the have a very big bank balance independently too - and instead of Ardens lowly 3.8m gbp rev estimate for 2020, a strong gas price thru all the second half of year may get that up towards 4.5m gbp even ?..so that's something, and would see forecast Gas Opex level loss come down meaningfully from 1.1m gbp at least )
Altogether, the other reasons for holding here are interesting to me too.. but unlikely i'll add more around this time either now..
The NL gas is really a minor distraction here, just providing a few pennies to keep the lights on. It is worth only a couple of pence per share. The true value is, and has been, nearly all in Perth GPA, with a little more from Platypus.
The recentish Arden note has a decent analysis and graph on page 2 here:

I try to research, though I admit my knowledge here falls short of some of the frequent contributors. I have been honest and said that I am here because of the terrific ride I had with Dana. As you say gas price has not been supportive of TCs efforts with Parkmead, but my view (for the little it is worth) is that fossil fuel prices are stupidly depressed at present due to the combination of fall off in demand due to Covid (which wont last) and green issues (here to stay but will not replace fossil fuels anytime soon). So the current PMG SP will, I hope, soon be regarded as a historic low. I do always get worried when a company has a powerful figurehead, and hope the rest of the BOD are strong.
good luck to us both johnpwh..
(price of gas awfulness has been a bigger nightmare than price of oil awfulness in the last 6 years I'd offer.. and that explains a lot about the awfulness of this s/p in the last 6 years imho.. but price of gas has nearly doubled in the last 6 months and this s/p has gone down again in that time.. and that's why i believe this can rally well easily/quickly... but DYOR and be LUCKY )
Massive spread on this
I'm lucky (I think!) NTM, I only just got back in having dabbled a bit over the years, so my average is 27 ish. Fingers, toes and anything else I can think of crossed!
I don't know what to think here. After an initial flurry in 2010 there was a gradual decline in SP until 2016 followed by a flatline until now. Was Dana under TC a fluke, just a product of market conditions? All I know is that I am pleased not to have held here for 10 years! When I first read about the renewables I was sceptical, I can see the majors needing to diversify but not so sure about minnows who should be able to succeed within the fossil fuel energy environment which will still (imp) be important 30 years from now, But now, with potentially support from Government green policies (and Nicola Sturgeon in particular) I'm coming round to the idea.
should have added that not only has this not rallied in recent months but it has actually declined, which, as I said last week, given how low it already was, is a nonsense imho.. waking up now hopefully/maybe.. but, again, at under 35p here versus gas price rally is farcical imho..
crawling before walking before running is more his norm here I'd offer..
At least gas prices have continued to tick up nicely for months now.. albeit form awfully low levels in March /April .. I use Henry Hub futures as a benchmark - I understand it's US but Europe has a bunch of national? benchmarks I think and so HH is as good as you get for a global proxy - and that's at around a two year high now..
gas price/revenues remains the key bottom line driver here and in this relative strength at approaching $3 per mmbtu I'm surprised this s/p has not rallied decently in recent months ??!!
I'll add a bit more again here soon i expect
Ruuun Forest....ruuun! ... Looking forward to being only shrimp boat in town.

TC got plenty of assets.....walking before running is his norm !
Sonofthebull
Thanks for the information
About time TC gave some good news, woeful investment so far
Could be Friday 13th - gulp.
Mid November
Any indication as to when there will the announcement
keep buying MTM looks like sliding again!
altogether this is a compelling squared buy at these latest levels imho.. and I've started topping up and am open to continuing doing so up to 35p .. under 35p here is a nonsense and, even with a generally bearish cap on, I could still easily make a case here now for 50p plus.. all imho
Surprised Parkmead didn't react to the PMs announcement about wind farms, which implied help in their development?
I didn’t realise Cal Gas are wholly owned by Berkshire Hathaway. We are due update on recommence of Platypus. Future seems bright for natgas and helps to have big names behind a project like Platypus. Exciting times ahead. Although incredibly frustrating at the moment PMG will come good very soon. What an opportunity at this price! Can’t believe it’s so quiet. That will change. Buy now and buy big. Now is the time to buy a big stake and hold for upturn.
Private Equity companies are here to stay keeping the basin open.
Tom knows what GPA can bring to Parkmead
We need rid of this Covid -19 Government mentality
Then Parkmead will rise !
