AST bid for AMC- well its possible but it looks v speculative as they want AMC board approval and they havent even had a written response to their 11/22 so its looks hostile and yet they need AMC support. Im guessing its a No but lets see-https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/AST/intention-to-bid-for-amur-minerals-corporation/15981715
This is going to get some legs on it now i would imagine
4.19p paid. Somebody is keen. Looking better here.
Your correct Millario, i seem to recall from whe this all kicked off teh legal team appointed are on a no win no fee basis. Lawyers dont offer to work for free often so would imagine they are reasonably confident in a payday.
Although I remain sceptical, part of Me thinks that the lawyers would not be getting involved on a 'no win no fee' basis (hopefully I'm correct that is their terms) if there was not a reasonable chance of winning the case. I'm sure they don't waste time and resources on such cases 'just for fun'
Could be but i think there is also some interest in what is upcoming from the various cases with compensation due should the various hearings go in Ascents favour. Yesterdays RNS was a pretty decent one in Ascent terms. This share tends to move very fast when at these levels as we started to see this morning.
More pump and dump?
Yes that was a good rns to read. They need to work through these other issues as well as the biggie to bring in revenues asap.
Looks to be very much a move in the right direction.
Very positive RN S just out and seen very confident of winning arbitration case to be held in mid June which would result in significant income
Update
Procedural orders issued.

Starting to progess..

PetTrader - I agree. The settlement is strictly for stock price manipulation and very, very unlikely to happen.
The settlement, like the Cuba and Peru operations, is so close to being an out and out lie that you cannot discern the difference.
The one share that would actually see progress if the BOD moved on!!!
Led by Executive Chairman James Parsons, a former CEO of Sound Energy and currently Chairman of Corcel, Coro Energy and Echo Energy, and CEO Andrew Dennan, a former CFO at Coro, AST looks for opportunities to generate high capital growth returns through counter cyclical acquisitions.
Yeah and look how well all of those companies are doing.. It's just hot air whilst they draw massive part time salaries and nothing much else happens .. IMHO
“…a potential damages payment of such magnitude offers compelling upside to an investment proposition that can be built on other grounds: a robust cash flow from Slovenian operations which is likely to be further strengthened through the unfolding settlement with Geoenergo, and the prospect of a new cash generative and low cost metals business in South America and Africa…”

Alwaysup, the lack of the EIA is obviously a big issue & definitly something Slovenia will use in its defence. But it is not the only matter that Slovenia will use in its defence (the level, or lack of, technical ability within AST will be analysed and cross-examined in detail). As for the €500 million being claimed, that is probably the equivalent of pie in the sky given forward European natural gas prices, and very unlikely to be awarded even if AST was successful in demonstrating its technical ability & able to prove the EIA was not required under Slovenian laws. I have not even touched upon what else Slovenia can use for defence as & when Slovenia requires to use additional material (& of course when the application is filed by Cifford Chance on behalf of Slovenia, for security of costs to be posted by AST , that's going to be a hit to the AST P&L account). A shame really, as there could have been a good company here if run by experienced people (the €50 million that AST claims has been spent on the project will have to be broken down in detail, with all invoices submitted as part of the arbitration proceedings. For arbitration, BoD salaries during the previous years are not part of project costs).
Seems some are very excited here for some reason. Just trying to force the SP higher on fake news.
There are honest investors that want to make money on the success of a company. Then there are those whose morals are less of an issue, and they will make money by inciting false news.
Nothing has changed, and AST has no chance of winning any settlement with Slovenia.
AST was told from the start that an EIA was required and they refused to submit one. That will be the defense that Slovenia uses.
Am buys today and now up over 8% so looks like RNS on the way
Wow thats big news. Market obviously hasn't seen this yet. guarenteed revenues for next few years on this extension. Thats big. And looks like this $500m payout is nearing a conclusion. Mcap only £6m so could be huge
Nonsense. Strategy devised by nonsense directors how many years can this go one for ..imho
It's all going swimmingly for the BOD...a little hype regarding Slovenia but no progress. Don't stress though we have a magnificent Metals strategy in Cuba!!! All the while milking those extortionate part time salaries!!! Any other business this would be considered illegal. To quote RNS last year, Andrew Dennan the BOD expects to reward investors with positive news very soon in the first quarter. Typical AIM. The BOD clearly have their finger on the pulse. This isn't an investment its a sham!! Embarassing how LSE and the authorities choose to look the other way!!
Wasn't expecting the bid to increase on all those sells.
